If she were awake, she would thank them all for taking care of her. As it stood, she was still out cold. However, despite her physical form not moving, inside her mind, things were working overtime. It wasn't a dream. Not in the sense others took it. It felt...more. That's the only word to describe it. Allison walked around. It was nothing and everything at the same time. It felt empty, but she knew things were here. Before she could explore a voice called out. "Allison. It is nice to finally meet you." Allison turned to face the voice. A woman appeared. She was corporeal and pink, her long hair fluttering in unseen wind. Her eyes were pure white, but she looked otherwise human. Allison wasn't afraid of the woman. It felt like she had met her before. "You don't know me. Or rather, you have not met me before, but I know you well, Allison. I know who you are." Allison felt obligated to talk to this being. "And what am I, exactly?" The woman floated forward like she was walking on air. "I believe your people call you a mutant. That is a term, correct if you look at it that way. I, however, prefer to see you and your brethren as a gift. A blessing, if you will. It may not seem like it, but you stand tall among others." The talk mad Allison feel a bit uneasy. "That sounds like something the Brotherhood would say. I don't see myself as such." The figure merely nodded. "The Brotherhood, as you call them, are correct in only one aspect. Humans and mutants are different, but they can coexist. It has been so before and so shall be. You and your friends have done well to preserve that. Even at a loss of one close to you." Allison felt her heart break all over again. The figure seemed to have read her or heard her thoughts. "You cared for the boy. Oshea, I believe his name was? He was important to you and for that, you have my sympathy, however much that helps. Loss is something not even mutants can prevent." Allison stared at the woman again. "He was taken from us! Taken by the Brotherhood. He was gone too soon." The figure listened, but she did not seem to agree. "His loss, though tragic, was already determined. There's very few things that can alter destiny. Allison, I can feel your anger. What happened during your fight is what happens when you let your gifts conrol you rather than you controlling them. You have power. You have power that others have foguth and killed over and continue to do so to this day. You have tremendous capabilities you have only just tapped into. You are lucky, Allison." Allison scoffed. "I don't feel lucky. I feel...beaten. I couldn't save Oshea." The woman floated forward and placed a hand on Allison's cheek. It felt cool to the touch. "You cannot save everyone. You and your friends did save a lot of people and for that you should be proud. But that is not why I am here. I am here to warn and to enlighten. I cannot say much more than this. You will have a choice going forward. Your power is great, but you must decide if you use it for good or for evil. There is no black and white answer to what is good and evil as only you must decide." Allison looked confused, "So is it like the Force? Light and dark side?" The woman smiled and nodded a bit, "I suppose one could look at it through that lense if one desires. That is all I can say. We will meet again Allison when you have made your decision. Until then, take care, and know you have others relying on you just as you rely on them." The woman vanished and Allison felt herself fall. But it was not scary. Rather, it felt like it needed to happen.
She awoke a second later, her eyes fluttering open to see herself getting patched up. "I really need that Starbucks run."
