Gil faltered in his charge as Kharne rushed past but kept a close enough distance that he could support his comrade if the creature reacted unexpectedly to the large axehead hurtling towards it. Gil kept his shield raised and began circling the beast and Kharne, waiting for an opportunity to enter the fray himself. He noticed the spear that the soldier had been flung into hadn't even moved under the weight of a fully grown man, in full plate armor. Though keeping his eyes on the beast, he sheathed his sword and removed the spear from the body it was stuck through.
