Doctor Williams faked a weak laugh and responded,"After what you've been through and your incentive is to return to work. Remarkable." He slightly shook his head. He lay his clipboard down at the foot of her bed, then looked to her saying,"Honestly Miss Lynch. how long you will be here depends on how well that deep wound on your neck heals, or rather how long it takes it to heal properly. It could be a week, it could be two weeks. The immediate concern is fighting off potential infection until it heals within a decent range. When it reaches a point that we're sure it won't turn to infection, then you can go." He stepped back slightly then, clasping his hands loosely behind his back, then saying,"The good news is there's no signs of infection currently in the wound, or disease. Seeing that you claim you were bitten by this attacker, we've run blood tests, and fortunately there's no sign of transferred diseases." He gave her a reassuring nod and a short smile. He then approached her, extending his large hands towards her neck. "Let's have a look at this." He said ever casually. He took hold of the edges of the layers of medical tape that held the wad of bandages on her neck in place, and gently began peeling the large applicant away. He pulled it half way back and peered under the bandage cluster. His expression changed slowly. His mouth turned downward into a deep frown, his grey eyes narrowed slightly, and his thick eyebrows notched downward into a furrow. "Hmm..."He grumbled. He peeled the bandage further back, then without warning snatched from her neck with a ripping of tape. Nothing. There was no wound, no blood, no marking, not even a scab. "What is this..."he grumbled in a harsher tone. His eyes cut downward to stare Alice in the face as he stood away from her, the was of bandages and tape half clenched in his hand. "Is this some kind of a sick prank?" He hissed at Alice,"There's nothing there, no wound, cuts, or anything!" His previously passive expression was now hard and accusatory with rivets of anger as he stared down at Alice, wanting an explanation.
