"Right, I get it," Adelfa's mom said, though she wasn't too keen on his blame of Adelfa, even if it was mainly her fault. "I just..." she muttered, eyes tearing up some as she looked at her hurt daughter, "I can't lose her. And it scares me more than anything. I can't lose either of them." As soon as the first tear fell, her husband was carressing her. He quickly wiped her tears away and pinched her nose, something that seemed to be an action only understood by those two. Calix was happy to see them still close after all of these years, but he couldn't help but feel like he brought on their sorrow. "At least insurance covers some of this, right?" Calix said in a rather weak attempt to make things better. "And maybe can get someone to fix up the car? I'll help pay for it!"
