[indent]At first glance, Tina appears to be cold and calculating, her expression always one that leads people to believe this. Her strong case of "resting bitch face" gives her a somewhat unfriendly air though she doesn't mind that it puts people off. Dark, thick locks of hair cascade down her back and curls around her youthful face. Her skin is the color of peanut butter, and speckling her nose are freckles that are a darker brown than her skin. She'll usually cover these freckles, as well as any other blemishes, with a thin layer of concealer and foundation. She has a prominent nose and full lips that always look poised to speak something important. But her most compelling feature is her piercing brown eyes that can change from affection to aversion without notice. Tina stands at five feet and six inches tall, and weighs in at around one hundred-sixty five pounds. She is also very toned and athletic, thanks to spending a good portion of her time in the gym.[/indent]

[indent]Despite her unfriendly appearance, Tina is actually a genuinely friendly young woman. On the surface, she proves to be a very energetic and lively person. Despite her resting bitch face, when she's with her friends she is rarely seen without a goofy grin on her face. She can be described as the bright ray of sunshine in a group, always trying her best to make others happy whether it be by giving them authentic compliments or cracking jokes. Many of her friends also describe her as adventurous and spontaneous; she's usually the one trying to get people to step out of their comfort zones and try something new. 

What most people don't realize, however, is how little they actually know about Tina. She has a tendency to be a bit "two-faced," and is great at socially accommodating when around different groups of people in an attempt to be liked by everyone. Some call it "fake," while Tina just calls it adapting. Her introverted nature makes her seem a bit stand-offish and cold. She's very articulate and observant, and tends to notice things about people that they may not even be consciously aware of themselves. She does not like to talk about her own personal life, instead preferring to hear about the lives of everyone else. She's very blunt and straightforward, and doesn't hesitate to put someone in their place. She also has anger issues and a bunch of pent up frustration; when pushed to her limit, she will blow up at whoever is nearby.

[indent]Tina Castro was born on December first to Miguel Castro, a Puerto Rican boxing coach, and Mariana Castro, a Jamaican pharmacist. The family of three resided in a small, two bedroom home in a poor neighborhood in north side Long Beach. Growing up, Tina was constantly getting into trouble, whether it was in school or around the city. She was only seven years old when she was first suspended from school after getting into a fight on the playground; the boy she'd beaten up had been making fun of her hairstyle. By the time she was thirteen, she'd been suspended from school multiple times and had even begun hanging around with gang members. Worried for their daughter, Miguel and Mariana put Tina into boxing to manage her anger issues and keep her occupied.

Ever since Tina started boxing, her life turned around completely; she rarely got into trouble in school, the only exception being a couple of detentions here and there, and found a new group of friends within her high school. She grew up to be a very skilled boxer, even winning the state championship when she was sixteen. In fact, it was boxing, and her father's switchblade, that eventually ended up saving her life.

Eighteen year old Tina had been walking to the corner store late at night to buy a some snacks, a 40 oz, and a pack of cigarillos when a familiar man pulled her into an alley and tried to rob her. She ended up getting away from him, only to realize later that the very man who'd tried to harm her was someone she used to hang around back in the day. Of course, she did not call the police, but she did decide that she'd go to the store a bit earlier whenever she had another craving.[/indent]

[indent][color=#6A92B5]✣[/color] [b]Boxing |[/b] Tina is a very gifted and accomplished athlete, having started boxing when she was six years old. Her boxing coach, also known as her Papi, works with her almost every day to prepare her for weekly boxing matches. It originally began as a way to manage her anger issues, but eventually turned into a sport that she loved more than anything else. 

[color=#6A92B5]✣[/color] [b]The Switchblade |[/b] Tina has a sharp switchblade that keeps on her person at all times for protection; her father gave it to her when she was a young girl. It can usually be found tucked securely inside of her boot or bra.
