Lumen Kresnik
[@Silver Carrot][@Strange Rodent][@Awesomoman64][@Cerces22][@Conscripts] It all was a tad humorous to Lumen. Between the Vice demonstrating that there was indeed a thorn tickling at her sides and that she held more knowledge that he anticipated, Lumen couldn't help but adorn levity on his feature that garnered themselves into the shape of a smile. That the staff has bent their knee to what seems to be the wishes of the student's vexation felt less of an action done for the sake of quelling the insipid chatter between his peers and more so to teach them a lesson. It was a forceful hand to a complicated situation, but in earnest Lumen thought that caging what they might seem to be children into tight corners would inevitable bring friction. This is a means to an end and what seems as the end didn't really feel too exciting to Lumen. But he couldn't find it within himself to bring much importance to that matter, as there was another thing that popped into his thoughts. The fact that there were similar incidence in the city. Of course, they were running the chance of saying that any immediate threat was perhaps shifted into another focus. That whatever it was that attacked a student wasn't anywhere near the campus. Which Lumen found to be a rather shallow conclusion. The city certainly wasn't a short stroll away, and with what was just said, he gathered that the killer wasn't human. Creature, assuming these words weren't but mere fodder in her speech, it held some merit to keep them in mind. The killer was not something that could come to rational thought, and if it did, it thought differently than what the moral code insinuated rational people should act like. It was a beast and that shortened his list, throughout the week the murmurs had quelled considerably, slowly had the initial impact of the news of a death quelled and gave birth to ceaseless rumors. They were vestigial and held no purpose other than slight whimsy, Lumen found them highly unattractive and boring. They did not cease his growing sense of curiosity, only mumbled at his ears irrelevance he rather not take privy to. Secondly, that the idea that there was only one. If several murders has come into fruition, then perhaps some better planing and personnel should be placed at the helm. If it were a single creature, it wouldn't be too difficult to follow it's trace. It was, in fact, just a creature. Unless it held a considerable intelligence, it would leave a trace. But no, it didn't. This is in speculation that they were not being told the entirety of the matter, which is was obvious that they weren't. Meaning one of two, that this creature is something even beyond the scope of the teachers and anyone else with far much more potency, or two... there was more than one of these things roaming around. "How curios, indeed." His tone had almost a uncomfortable glee to them. This feeling, the feeling of unveiling and reaching clarity. Something about what Lumen just proposed to himself gave him a sense of understanding. This was, indeed something he should keep in mind. This was refreshing, he silently demonstrated his appreciation to the vice-principal. This was very interesting indeed. Missions on such a quick occasion, Lumen was sure he was, maybe, a lot farther back than his peers when it came to combat, his element hadn't shown any trace of solidifying its hue, meaning he was nowhere near mastering it. He can sense his other soul bellowing for strength. He stood off his seat and proceeded along with the group to the bulletin board that would present his mission and partners, reading among the myriad of papers and advertisements of other things, there he found his name amidst others. Yuris and Mako were their guardians during this event, what an odd paring indeed. But they were at the helm, things would be very interesting and not easy in the slightest. Now to witness the names of his comrades for this endeavor. Circe, Roland and Ceiran. Unfortunately, he knew of them but not much about them. He adjusted his hood so that his vision was warded, the curse could pose a problem even at this circumstances. It was a curse after all and although some people demonstrated much resistance to it, it was still better to keep it hid than to have it expose and bring him more trouble than what it's worth. He cursed Kresnik for his sultry past. Any except for Roland, who up until this day was still the talk of the school, he hadn't much interactions with the rest. He certainly remember Ceiran, from that time where he and some arachnid-girl were talking to the teachers at lunch, he seemed weird and sensible... He didn't really know what was going on with him, but he demonstrated a sense of... danger. Perhaps it was Kresnik's warning, but he felt uneasy around him. Which was all the best to have him around, he would unveil his secrets and feel all the more fulfilled for it. Turning his head towards the sides, he looked for his comrades, only to see that the boy who he was just a moment ago thinking about sat with a grimoire in his hand. He paced off the crowed and towards his now teammate. "Excuse me." Lumen spoke, smile on lip, still holding the tip of his hood, slightly pulling it down to hide his sight enough so the curse wouldn't register. "Seems we're gonna be paired up together, Ceiran. I hope it's not too much to say that I am excited for it. I'll do my best to keep up with you and not bring the team down."
