Khosin hadn't done much during the brief duration of the exercise, too busy to pick the best target for him to tackle on to be bale to take any action before the training bout was cancelled due to the situation on Site 1. All in all, that fact didn't bother him much, and any annoyance that he could have felt at the cancellation of the exercise was soon forgotten when Tazen told them the exact situation that had happened on Site 1. As the shuttle made its way towards Site 1 dark thoughts began bubbling up to the surface of Khosin's mind, his time working with the Hegemony's military, raiding a base of insurgents against the Hegemony, and other darker memories came to the fore with such intensity that he only half-heard Tazen's plan. 

He breather deeply, trying to calm his thoughts "[i]That's in the past, there's no use relieving those memories.[/i]" He thought internally, his hands shaking slightly as he thought to dispel the grip that his old memories had on his mind "[i]You aren't the same as you were before, focus on the present.[/i]" His train of thoughts continued, his hands clenching into fists "[i]Focus on the mission, rescue the researchers...no matter the cost to yourself. It's the least you can do.[/i]" He focused on that last idea, repeating it in his mind over and over like a mantra. He had nothing else left except ensuring that the Initiative was a success, he had known that fact since he had signed up back in the Milky Way and all the events that had transpired since their arrival to Heleus had only solidified that notion on his mind. His little inner mantra was interrupted when he felt the shuttle lowering down and the door opening so that he and the rest of Fireteam Echo could disembark. 

Letting out the breath that he had been holding, Khosin slid his helm over his head before he left the shuttle and joined Sabinius and the rest of the team that'd act as a distraction. He nodded in agreement at Firu's words, a small chuckle escaping from his lips at what Clyff and Kargad had said. “Seems you’ll get your wish soon Yanagita.” Said the Batarian in response to what the human male had said as he noticed the telltale beep of a sent message on his omnitool. He didn’t need to play the message to guess it’s contents, Tazen had mentioned that if they were contacted it meant that they were free to engage the Kett forces present on Site 1. Activating his tech-armor, Khosin spared not a single second to tell everyone else of his plan before he launched himself straight into one of the Kett’s Chosen with a biotic charge, immediately pulling his Raider shotgun to finish his staggered foe before turning to face the remaining Kett forces converging on him. An all-too savage grin spreading across his face as he braced himself for the fight to come, shots erupting from his shotgun as he engaged the Kett forces approaching him directly.
