[b][color=008000]Background:[/color][/b] Octus has lived on Martennas' surface since he was six years old. For the better part of this time, alone, by choice. Trading occasionally with the intrepid new locals who in recent years have started to re-colonize the old world. His presence on the earth below rather than the sky above a result of an airship crash. Long hard years of living in some of the wilder areas have lent Octus a tempered and rather pragmatic approach to life. Not requiring many of the creature comforts many have come to consider practically a necessity. Meeting a few of the Red Dragon Bone Guild as they fulfilled jobs on the surface provided new opportunities. Chances to get paid handsomely for things he had done just for the sake of survival until now. Kill this, retrieve that, these sky people are wonderfully loose with their money and supplies. 

[b][color=008000]Personality:[/color][/b] Octus is slow to truly anger but vicious in a fight. His entire life after all has taught him that things cannot eat you if they are dead. Often shooting/clawing/gnawing/disintegrating first and asking questions later he approaches most situations with the thought of getting the job done as efficiently and profitably as possible. 

[b][color=008000]Role:[/color][/b] Seemingly to rely on his natural weapons of claw and fang more than anything belies Octus' natural ability as a magi. Not having ever really been educated it has by and large been a self learned process. He uses mage craft in order to survive and and get ahead in the world. Octus doesn't really consider himself a practitioner or even bother to consider how or why he has the ability. It is useful. That is sufficient.
