(SNIP)
They more or less agreed with what Darston, the Resident General said. They nodded in agreement. Charles Backhouse has taken his turn to speak for now, and not the Commander himself will speak. "So, as for these social and government reforms...what might they be?" he asked, inquisitively. The others at the table took a few notes about what was being said, before one of them took a drink of a glass of water. Meanwhile in a research center somewhere a pair of scienists were analyzing and going over the finds from expediton #776 near the Rolonov Mines, in the State of Misoz. The site was quarantined and these blue stones were removed from the area. The leader of this investigation was currently at a meeting with a few of his associates in an nearby room about what should be done about these stones. They had decided to further investigate these stones and see if they are valuable or useful in any manner. They might make a good profit to the Federation. One of the scientists suggested to the group that they would do a chemical composition analysis about these stones. After this, no known elements were found, however they resembled a form of Apatite and some other form of crystal. One of the scientists looked at it under a magnifying glass. "The amount of light coming from these things is astonishing, Daxston." she remarked. "Indeed. What are these things? Some form of ancient artifact?" another scientist asked. "Doesn't seem like it. If they were an artifact, they would probably have symbols on them, or a more angular shape. These things look raw, whatever they are." she stated. "Well then. Lets continue with that streak and hardness test, Sydney." he said to her. She unlocked a drawer on a nearby shelf and pulled out a fresh glass plate, aswell as a streak plate which was a small and flat white slab. She set these 2 things down, the other scientist walked over and sat down on a chair next to her. He took a silent whiff of her longe blonde hair, it smelled like...some form of flowers? She didn't notice this though as she began her test. She took one of the stones, which was about the size of a clenched fist and scratched it across the glass plate. It definitely scratched that. Moving on, she scratched it across the white plate which left behind a brilliant Azure blue streak on the streak plate. "Harder than glass, blue streak. Lets see what else this can scratch. I'll see if it can scratch Quartz." he stated and got up from his chair and picked up a piece of quartz which was sitting on the counter. He took it with him as he went to sit back down on the chair. He sat it down on the table they were working at and scratched the blue stone across the Quartz. It did indeed scratch. "We now know it has a hardness stronger than that of Quartz." he said. "What should we name it?" the other scientist asked. "Hmm...lets name this stone...Undasite." he replied. "Sounds good enough. Lets continue with our tests." she said. Suddenly door opened in and 2 of the head scientists of this investigation walked in. "What have you found?" the shorter, fatter one asked, glaring at them through his pair of glasses. They relayed the various information they have found to the 2 who just walked in. While one of the superiors was talking to the other, one of the scientists touched the blue stone and held it. It had a slightly electrical feeling. She could feel...water but there wasn't any water there. She held it for longer and the stone seemed to glow brighter. For some reason she couldn't look away as the glow got brighter and the feeling of water increased and increased until there was a bright flash, which blinded some of the other scientists who were looking at what she was doing. She was blasted back by a force, though that Undasite stone still remained clasped in her hand. She had passed out. "Greg, get a medical team in here. She might be hurt." one of the scientists said. Greg, walked out and proceeded down the hall to get the attention of the medical staff who were in another area of the building about this incident. Meanwhile, the scientist who had passed out was in a dream. A blue dream. She was floating in water, water was all around her. The sunlight from the 'surface' above illuminated the water. It was salt water, she wasn't drowning but simply just floated there for a few seconds. That is when she saw a blue light in the deep, down there...down there... It was calling out to her. She swam towards it and before long she found herself next to a blue, glowing sphere. She reached out to touch this sphere, it felt perfectly smooth and cold. She could also sense something within this sphere, some form of presence within it. She didn't know what it was. That is when she awoke. She awoke on a medical bed. She must have been taken away. They asked if she was alright, and she said that her head hurts, pretty bad. She had to stay here for now, doctor's orders. She felt different. She just...felt different. Its not a painful different, its the unknown sort of different. What were those blue stones? Sydney questioned within her mind. _ Meanwhile, the Federation advanced further into the northern Yahpi territories. Though, no slaves were alive as they were all on the ground, shot to death before they could ever see the light of freedom. The invading Veilletes forces were met by flaming spiked cannonballs and musket fire along with screaming Yahupi warriors chanting various religious chants as they fought. These Yahupi were probably quickly defeated though some of them hid in buildings and in bushes, when Veilletes soldiers came by they shot and slaughtered them mercilessly. The Yahupi won't simply be defeated without a long, hard battle.
(SNIP)
As the UFO arrives in Federation territory, it can see some sprawling cities and towns about the area. These people aren't very advanced by the looks of things, though their architecture is something to at least be somewhat impressed about. People looked up in curiosity, wondering what those glowing lights in the sky could be. What could they be?
