Though her eyes seem peculiar for her-probably some after effect from possessing magic she’s not aware of-what tends to draw people’s attention the most is the clear elephant in the room.

Be it intimidation, for fashion, or just to freak everyone out whenever she walks into the room. Though, of course, it’s not like any of these theories could ever be confirmed. If nothing else, Jackie wears it purely because there’s no need for her mouth to be available anyway. Except of course, when there’s food around.[/i][/color]

[color=silver][b]• Personality:[/b][/color] [color=fff79a][i]It should be obvious that Jackie is a very quiet girl. In fact, if seeing the gas mask wasn’t a tell-tale sign, then learning of the girl’s muteness is usually good enough for most people. As such, Jackie is more prone to listening and following what others think as opposed to being forward herself. Rendered speechless leaves one to be extremely inquisitive and sensitive to others and more likely than not, Jackie is usually present just to support.

Despite what her interesting visage may imply, she’s not as threatening as some might think. Ignoring the ghastly mask, she’s very much kind when she’s needed to be. She’s not too bothered if others are nervous in approaching her; in fact, some might say she’s more emotionless because of such nature. Still, actions speak louder than words anyway and Jackie’s actions are usually small and gentle ones.[/i][/color]

Because of this magic that deals beyond the edge of sight and sense, it is a rare occurrence for members to be born without speech. Believing firmly in the ideal that actions speak louder than words, the majority of Riprens treat these strange phenomenons as blessings among their family and signs that it will yield a powerful mage among them. Jackie was one such child born of muteness. 

Born and raised in the heart of England, she is living embodiment of her family’s rigid ideology. Even so, some members of the clan view her muteness as a curse placed upon them. So when the push was called for enrollment to the Marchand School of Sorcery, some believed it was an ideal opportunity to dwell into other forms of magic. And perhaps even reverse this “curse” in their lineage. But does Jackie even want to be cured? No one ever bothered to ask the mute girl what she wanted….[/i][/color]

[color=silver][b]• Skills:[/b][/color] [color=fff79a][i]With magic comes the ability to wield it. Jackie knows she’s not at the level of her family and that’s why she does what she can with what she has.[/i]

[indent][color=silver][b]— Invisibility:[/b][/color] [i]As her entire bloodline practices the art of trickery, Jackie can utilize the primary ability of invisibility. She can either make herself or others gone from sight. However, she can only maintain this magic on others for a total of ten seconds; she can perform such magic on herself indefinitely. Furthermore, she can only turn one object or individual invisible at a time.[/i]

[color=silver][b]— Projection:[/b][/color] [i]Jackie can project the image of herself onto other objects, thus giving off the illusion that there are two of her. Or rather, that she can be in two places at the same time. She can only perform this magic on either one object or individual at a time for roughly ten seconds.[/i]

[color=silver][b]— Attentive Listener:[/b][/color] [i]Being mute can be its own form of magic. The absence of her own words clouding outside opinion has allowed Jackie to become a very good listener. And with good listening skills comes much secret keeping as well. No one ever expects the mute to talk back, making Jackie the perfect person to confide to. And perhaps take a secret to the grave.[/i][/indent]

[color=silver][b]• Weaknesses:[/b][/color] [i]Even so, Jackie is still quite young, barely even an adult. As a result, she still has much to learn about both her own innate magic as well as the world surrounding her.[/i]

Communication among her peers and others in general is nonexistent for her without the need for extra assistance. Though it’s never proven to be a hindering problem for her before, being unable to communicate could be the difference between life and death.[/i]

[color=silver][b]— Non-Combatant:[/b][/color] [i]Having no combat experience whatsoever, Jackie is almost useless in combat situations. Given her innate magic, she’s more used to running and hiding when danger arises. As such, she’s had to rely on the strength of others when the need arises, her role locked into that of support.[/i][/indent][/color]
