And yea...there is that issue with Edolas having lost all of its magic when the Animus was shut down. But perhaps, someone from [i]Earthland[/i] was trying to make a portal/gateway to Edolas? Just a thought~

I will say though, that I am not a huge fan of adding stuff like 'Vampires' or 'Werewolves' in the FT universe. They'd feel a little...out of place unless done in some other way. Fairy Tail isn't exactly known for that sort of thing.

Perhaps a 'vampire' like magic or ability that feeds on a mage's Magic power for a suggestion instead of blood.

And come to think of it, as far as 'were-beasts' go, there are animals that have the 'take over ability' I think, like the Vulcans back in the Macao arc, so could potentially do something with that.
