She marveled at everything that was going on around her, making her heart race and her adrenaline surge. Kids were running all around, some using their powers on the PSFs and some just trying to find cover. PSFs were trying to wrangle kinds while also fighting off the people that had broken into the facility. Then there was the mysterious people in white arm bands that had seemingly come to their rescue. When she saw them there was a brief moment that she wondered if her brother was somewhere in the mess of people, looking for her so they could escape finally. He had promised her he would be watching out for her and would get her out sooner or later, was now that time? Was he with this mysterious group of people? Unfortunately for her, there was too much going on for her to try and look for him. Hell she wasn’t even sure if he was here and she wouldn’t be wasting her opportunity to get out and fight to go on a wild goose chase. As she ran towards the action, Addison noticed a group of PSFs in the distance that were having a shoot off with a bunch of the people wearing white arm bands. The PSFs had their backs turned towards her, which made her smile slightly at the fact she could sneak up on them and help the people with the white arm bands get the upper hand. She stopped for a moment to look at who she wanted to attack first. She had to pick carefully since she would be at risk of being shot herself if she picked someone to close to another PSF. Right when she was going to attack, she heard multiple screams coming from behind her. Turning around, she could see an older kid with an arm band leading a few smaller children away from the fight, but as he did three PSFs cornered them against a building. The kid with the arm band pushed the younger ones behind him and bulked himself up ready for a fight. “Shit…” She hissed under her breath, looking back and forth between the PSFs who still hadn’t noticed her and the kids who were in danger of being captured or hurt. She struggled with the decision on who to help for a moment, but ended up going with her gut instinct. Turning she started running towards the kids who had been cornered. The teen with the arm band caught sight of her coming, causing a slight look of relief to come to his face. One of the PSFs standing in front of him has raised his gun to the teen’s chest and was about to shoot when Addison wrapped her glowing red hand around his arm. A scream instantly burst through his lips as her hands burned though his armor and began melting his skin. The other two turned towards her in surprise, but one was taken down by the kid with the white arm band. “Fuck! Damn freaks!” The officer who had yet to be injured yelled, raising his gun. Seeing this, Addison released the one officer and thrust herself upon the one with the gun. Her fiery hands instantly went to his face, the one part of him that wasn’t covered, and held them there as they both tumbled to the ground. His screams echoed through her ears and his face began to burn all the way to the bone. She’d never smelled burning flesh before, but it was surely a smell that she would never forget for the rest of her life. Feeling satisfied that the PSF wouldn’t be getting up anytime soon, she turned her head to look for the officer she’d attacked first, but he had already run off, clutching his injured arm. “You okay?” She asked the kids, first looking towards the younger ones and then looking towards the kid with the arm bad, who was still straddling the officer he’d knocked out. He shook his head in confirmation, still trying to catch his breath from the struggle. “The fucking freaks fight better than you thought, asshole.” Addison got back to her feet and kicked the dead officer she had just taken out. “Come on.” She said to the white arm band kid. “Let’s get them somewhere safe.”
