Kei has an above average height of 181 centimeters. Despite his build looking seemingly lanky under the oversized clothing he prefers, Kei is well built, a result from constant training in the baseball club. His hair is a very light shade of brown which contrast with his dark brown eyes. Though he usually wears glasses, he swaps between them and contacts frequently due to his club activities. He has silver piercings on both his ears as well as a tongue piercing (which have caused him much grief from his coach). "Ehhhhhh, do I really need to remove them for the match??" was a line that became a running gag in the club.

[indent][i]-Athlete:[/i] A regular on Kōkyo High's baseball team who has been to Koshien, Kei has honed his body to its high school limits. A jack of all trades, he might not be the fastest nor the strongest but he definitely excels in these areas compared to his peers. His lightning fast reflexes have resulted in many double/triple plays as he dominates the infield. Many consider him to be second ace of the team right after the pitcher.[/indent]
[indent][i][s]-God Speed Impulse[/s] Kinetic Vision:[/i] Kei is the cleanup batter of the team, a role usually reserved for heavy hitting sluggers. The reason for this is his insanely high batting average, a result of his superb eyesight. Combined with his reflexes, he's easily able to identify the type of ball thrown and react accordingly.[/indent]

Amano Kei is actually the son of a Yakuza head. His current personality is the result of being surrounded by ruffians from a young age. It's also why he pretty much ended up a delinquent. Life seemed like it was heading down a fixed track for him as he was to take over the family when he was of age. He wasn't particularly against it but it was not something he craved either. Having your life on rails made it boring. Which was why when he entered high school, he joined the baseball team out of curiosity, a decision that would change his life forever.

The youth became serious about something for the first time in his life, and the comradery of his teammates breathed new life into him. His yankee friends had good hearts as well despite their actions but the life of bullying, women and lazing around wasn't for him. The thrill of competition and satisfaction of going to the Koshien was something he just couldn't find in the life of a delinquent.

He has a younger sister aged 12. His relationship with his father is good despite the fact the man is often away on business. His mother passed away when she gave birth to his sister. Kei is on good terms with some teachers who've seen the good in him but generally disliked by most of the faculty due to his image. His two circle of friends are his baseball teammates and his yankee friends. Outside of them, Kei doesn't particularly socialize much.
