The grav-ton acceleration device is among the most widespread weaponry and projectile device in the Empire. Invented by the genius of Done Russon, grav-ton devices use micro-scaled gravity manipulators, using gravity-reducing fields and centrifugal force to propel thermite rounds to lethal speeds. The Russon made device can fire up to 120,000 rounds per second without any recoil or muzzle flash, combined with ease of maintenance.  The Russon invented Grav guns have become quite prevalent in many sectors and modern armies-- from small arms to being upscaled to massive siege engine weapons used by starships.

So in summary just was thinking of the exact weapon technology we have, so I thought up an idea to throw out there. This by no means is the only thing the Empire has access to, I'm sure each sector has their own thing. Though logically the more effect a piece of tech is the more widespread it will by the very nature of war and weapon development. I had some thoughts on shielding technology as well, perhaps using void shields that phase shift projectiles into the void until the system is overwhelmed.
