Omg another slice of life rp! Personal note first: I'm looking for a partner who can be a bit patient with me. I'm battling a chronic illness and sometimes my medicine makes it difficult for me to read screens. I hope to respond a couple times a week, but at least once a week. Also, typos happen. Don't get uppity. Seriously, I try to stay pretty relaxed and would like a partner that can do the same. Just want to have fun, right? Now, onto ideas! Note: Just because it's slice of life doesn't mean it can't have elements of the fantastical. ;) The Wayward Cafe:
The setting is mostly in The Wayward Cafe, a local cafe and bakery in a general city that seems to attract a strange collection of people. We would be playing a collection of the various characters that offer the cafe patronage and those that work there. Will the owner and the newest employee find common ground on the special events? When will the strangers who make eyes at each other every Thursday morning ever speak to each other? Was that a drug deal that just went down in the bathroom?? Will Enid ever find that perfect cappuccino?! I dunno! Let's find out!
Mysteries in the Stacks:
There's a very rundown building in town that everyone thinks is abandoned. All the mischief making kids and urbexers are surprised to find it's a library! A library that's only open at night. Much the same set up as the cafe, we would play a selection of people that come and go from the library. Who owns this place? Why isn't this library listed in the city directory? Who keeps putting the medical section in reverse alphabetic order? Where did they hide the books on secret societies? Who keeps booking the best study room and what are they whispering about behind the door?? So many mysteries in the stacks!! (See what I did there, bringing the title back around? Aren't you impressed?)
Those are the two I've been turning around in my head. I'll add more ideas as I go. Want to be sure they're interestingbefore pitching them here. Feel free to respond here or send me a PM. I prefer RPing in PMs but can do j just fine in a forum.
