Hang on are you talking about the romance of the three kingdoms game series? Because they are strategy games not Mosou combat games. 

If you are referring to the story that dynasty warriors are based on, then who cares? They have repackaged the entire thing with one dimensional characters, pointless exposition riddled with cliches and awful voice acting. Dante's Inferno (the game) is also based on a piece of classic literature, but the game's plot is still stupid.
