[@Legion02] Well the reason Darth Nihilus could not consume the main characters life force in the second game (as well as that blind chicks whose name I've forgotten) was that they were wounds in the force. Your character more so than the blind chick, I was kind of surprised when I talked to the Jedi council and learned what I was. That game was a damn good man, makes me wish they'd make another already. (That and Vampire Masquerade) 

Anyway, to a Vacare the Knights of Null will seem like wounds in the void, going off the idea all living beings are in some way connected to the void. Hence why a few select humans can manipulate it. There are some horrible grimdark side effects, of course, looking forward to seeing how that shapes out. 

Edit: Also, I liked the excerpt of Vacare fluff, much needed and will be super useful.
