Her employment might not have been a sure thing, but given her educational background she graduated college damn near ready to start the next day. Presently she works in the PR department for Zima Enterprises, being spotted at galas and fund raises and social events in the name of her father, though she also manages the books - specifically the funds the company wants [i]off the record[/i]. Kat has a vested interest in following after her father by means of taking over the 'family business' upon her father's retirement or death. Kat provides a good face for the company's legitimate practices while handling some of the more under the table affairs. 

There have been whispers that Kat is considering a political career down the line, but rumors are just that.[/indent]

[indent]Everyone likes to think Kat took after her mother, but she would disagree; sure she might have her mother's eyes but the dirty blonde hair and her thin lipped thousand-yard stare she attributes solely to her father. Kat strives for a look of professionalism that can easily be seen as intimidating under the right circumstances. She stands, on a good day, at 5'10" with a build that, while typically hidden under layers, is a fit one. She maintains a rather specific gym routine - though she's been trying out yoga to varying degrees of success - and the routine puts a bit of emphasis on upper body strength. She won't be benching or doing a lot of heavy lifting, but she can put an impressive score down on a 'test your strength' machine with a punch. As an employee of Zima Enterprises, Kat will typically wear specially tailored suits with heels that have a way of clacking aggressively as she makes the rounds of the office. Her hair, dirty blonde of course, is a bit long on a good day but she takes the time to tie it in a bun or a topknot or chignon. Casually she'll let her hair down though she'll often still wear slacks even when resting at home; in the winter she'll put on a sweater. 

Kat's eyes are a cold, dark blue which, when paired with her sharp face gives her a look that just screams 'bitch' and the fact that her smiles are sideways and appear to be constantly condescending certainly don't help. [/indent]

[indent]Despite how she presents herself, Kat is really only a cold bitch when she needs to be - and pray she doesn't need to be. Given that she often gives little speeches at Zima supported events and galas around the community, Kat is quite the comfortable public speaker and is charismatic at that. Of course those with silver tongues are those you can't exactly trust and that holds true with Kat especially. She's got quite the poker face and combined with her charisma and her keen sense of knowing how to read people this makes her quite adept at lying and manipulating those she believes to be easy marks. If she wasn't so determined to be her father's favored child, she might've had a good career as a saleswoman. Or a con artist. 

Kat is also prone to her vices, as anyone else. While she is somewhat tight with the money she earns, she can't always resist a good bit of gambling on a sporting event or a game of cards, but her biggest vice is that she tends to fall for people fast and loose and when she can't be with someone or if she's particularly stressed then certain members of the world's oldest profession are given a phone call; should Kat ever seriously consider a political career her proclivities would damn near run her out of politics all together. 

What Kat longs for is recognition and acceptance by her peers, parents, and siblings. As the eldest daughter she wanted to set an example while also showing that she had more of her father in her than it seemed. While not a perfectionist, when things go poorly she blames herself first before others - though if someone can be linked as the one responsible she'll make sure they are aware of their blunder. Katinka just wants to do her family proud.[/indent]

[color=00BFFF]Upbringing[/color][hr]
[indent]Katinka had the awkward experience of at one point being the middle child. Sure she enjoyed being the youngest for a time but her sister stole the spotlight shortly after that Of course she doesn't bear any ill will towards her family, unless they give her reason to, but ever since she became the eldest daughter of the bunch she started to search for approval where she could. The easiest way was maintaining a high GPA throughout school - in high school she made honor roll all four years but missed out on valedictorian which she is still upset about. Her social life suffered in college as she maintained consistently high marks but never really went to any social events apart from the occasional football or baseball game.

When she found out that her family wasn't exactly the most squeaky clean family in Salem, Kat wanted in. Her affinity for numbers made her a good fit for book keeping and her loyalty to the Zima name meant she wasn't about to reveal any potential embezzlement or misappropriated company funds. Her own image hasn't been marred yet. Other than her admiration for high class company, Kat doesn't have a criminal record to speak of though she is still rather young in that regard. 

Kat supports her family even as she tries to position herself as the head of it. If she ever had nothing, she would still have family. [/indent]
