After is inhaled, it begins feeding on the victims darkest of desires. The source of the miasma is unknown, and it goes as quickly as it appears. Only appearing in areas of strife. 
This miasm cannot be contained in conventional manors. So Academies like Beacon have decided to try focusing their efforts. On either training hunters that can help study the phenomenon. Or to try creating methods of surviving the miasma[/i][/b]
