[@The Valkyrie] Unfortunately only Mahz can do that sort of change since he has to actually do some database edits. The system wont allow us to change it because usernames are locked to actual user ID numbers, which are invisible to the regular member.

Hypothetically speaking, if we were to reassign their username and try to change yours to the "free" one, it wouldn't work either for that same reason.

At the moment we are seeing if he is able to come back and work on the site, so I do have to ask for you to be patient, but I can understand your frustration.
