Irritated at the beasts reluctance to move, he had to give him some credit for he was smarter than he appeared. River grit his teeth, eyes dancing about the battle field looking for some edge in the fight or a way to use less energy. Finally his eyes settled on the slate of ice he had created moments before deciding this was the best way about it for now. His hand waved over his grimoire as his fingers danced to his incantation commanding the ice to melt and move. River piloted the water down into the earth and moved it about until it was underneath the beast. He carefully, yet quickly, shot half of the water up to surround each leg while the other half remained underground. Once affixed each leg he froze it over once again in order to anchor the giant in place,having the ice not only around the monsters legs but also beneath the ground rooting him like a tree.
