It's what I've earned."

Back to Basics

Name: Abigail Lace Davis Aliases: Abby, Abbs Age: 21 Gender: Female Tourist or Local?: Returning local
Appearance

Height: 5'9 Build: Abby is an athlete, and has the physique of a long-distance runner. Hair: Short cropped, straight and brown, ending just before her shoulders. Eyes: Brown Distinguishing Marks: One piercing on each ear. Style: Plain and practical. Abby rarely wears any footwear other than trainers and never anything so uncomfortable as jeans. She's a student living on her own, and so most of her closet is multi-functional; mostly running clothes with the occasional blouse or skirt for events. She wears little jewelry other than a pair of small diamond stud earrings she never changes.
Skills & Occupation

Occupation: Abby was about to enter her final collage semester for paramedic-studies in Sunderland before returning to Rawyn, where her time is spent looking after her parents and searching for her younger sister. Before her return, her summers and most free time was spent working in a pharmacy near the school to pay for her rent and some tuition. Hobbies & Interests: She enjoys running and reading but devotes very littler of her time to anything other than studying or working. Skills:
Athletic: While no longer on any official teams, Abby enjoys physical exercise, mostly running, and is in excellent shape. Paramedic (Medical Training): The degree she is currently working towards, and very nearly finished. Sociable: Despite the sad reasons for her return, and her own dislike for Rawyn, she is well-liked by most in the community.
Supernatural Sensitivity: None.
Psychology

Personality:
Ambitious, and more than a little proud. All Abby has ever wanted is to get of our Rawyn. Her chosen method of doing so was though hard work and planning a great deal of her future ahead of time. While more than a little selfish in some areas, she isn't unkind. There is little she wouldn't do to help a friend; so long as it didn't go against her own beliefs or goals.
Bio:
Abby always knew she was an accident. Not that her parents ever mentioned it, or showed any signs of resentment; Jonathan Davis was quite happy as the high-school art teacher, Lola Davis did good work as a nurse, and both loved their daughters completely. But there was a great deal of talent in her father's sculpting, and her mother hoarded medical journals as well as textbooks on sciences and math. It was never said that neither of them had planned to remain in the North Rawyn suburbs, and if they had left no doubt they would have led successful lives in larger cities. Instead they had Abigail, followed by Olivia, and settled with second-rate careers in the tired town they had always lived. Abby always did well in school, applying herself fully to everything she did. Most of it was an effort so she could ensure a chance at leaving the town that had stifled the dreams of both her parents. She was an honors student, and captain of the track team. But all measurements a model student, popular among both her peers and teachers. To herself though, Abby only felt true closeness with her sister Olivia, who she believed was a kindred spirit, and as dissatisfied with Rawyn as she was, though they expressed it very differently: Olivia with rebellion and thrill-seeking, Abby with hard work and careful planning. Eventually, Abby's efforts bore fruit and she received a partial scholarship to University of Sunderland, where she moved barely two months after graduating. Her sole regret was leaving Olivia behind as well. They kept in close contact with constant assurances that they would reunite properly after Olivia's graduation; living together away from Rawyn. But shortly after her first year away, the correspondence suddenly stopped. It left Abigail greatly concerned, but her infrequent weekend visits back to Rawyn and phone-calls with her parents proved nothing more than Olivia having calmed down and focused on schoolwork. A great relief to Lola and Jonathan Davis, but it unsettled Abby to see her sister fall into what she believed the same despondent complacency that left so many others content to live with no ambition for more. Still, she continued her university studies, returning less and less to her hometown until the summer before her final semester; when Olivia went missing. She came back to Rawyn for the first time in over a year to help search and console her parents. But now it's been six months, and the longer she stays away from the life she'd so carefully built for herself the harder it will be to return.
Weaknesses and/or fears:
Losing her sister(Fear): Already Abby feels guilty for not being there for her sister, or at least not confronting her when her attitude had changed so drastically. If she'd stayed in Rawyn, maybe she wouldn't have gone missing. Remaining in Rawyn(Fear): Abby loves her parents. But she would do anything to keep from being like them. It isn't that she fears a quiet life so much as never reaching her full potential. Close-minded(Weakness): Stubborn doesn't quiet describe Abigail. Her opinions and choices change often enough, she just doesn't consider the thoughts or advice of others before doing so.
