As she answers the questions, the Martians only stand there, presumably listening. How they feel about the answers is a mystery. But then she asks a couple of questions as well, as soon as she is done one of them answers.

Since we want to research humans without making it obvious that we are researching them, we demolished the base and have since put a research station far away from the Solar System so we can still study them and be almost certain that humans will never discover it."[/color]

The other one then answers the second question.
