[color=3CB371]Appearance[/color][hr]
[indent]Blu, even from a distance, strongly resembles his father. Even when the two are separate or across the room, the Carver genes can be clearly seen and are easily recognizable. He is a mans man, standing at 6'2 and weighing in around 185lbs, Blu has worked for years to be the pristine image of a well-fed and active young black man in a prominent middle-class family. From sports to the gym rat life, Blu has worked hard to stay fit and attractive, further attempting to provide an image of stability and strength. He gets his light brown, almost caramel, skin from his mother and also keeps his hair to a nice fade (but the new haircut was recent, he used to rock something a little [url=https://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/f7a86afc29f7d66371a48e0aadcbd55a/5B2AA551/t51.2885-15/e35/11259156_1661591797429000_1880433731_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTExNjk3OTk4NzU1MTU5NDQ3Ng%3D%3D.2][u][color=7EBB99]longer[/color][/u][/url]). 

During his 9-5 and even sometimes on campus, Blu can be seen in a fitted suit of his choice in either black, blue, or grey with all the special accessories (from the tie to the cufflinks). His suit game is strong but outside of business wear, he lacks the sharpness and grace he usually carries. Switching more to the relaxed hoodies and pants (Blu hates jean or demi of any kind that goes below the waist) and really "bums" out. Most would say he looks like a homeless rapper, his hoodie, joggers and gold watch on the side, maybe a chain on a good day. Outside of his professional circle, he is striving to be a comfortable man who evolves into that good looking dad ( maybe...someday...I don't know).[/indent]

[indent]Most people who meet Blu often walk away from the encounter impressed. The young man carries himself well, being able to keep up with most conversations with ease, has a great smile, and a positive aura the comes off him in waves. Blu's confidence and strategic mind are always grinding new information and possibilities and this drives his confidence forward. Not in a nasty, uncomfortable way, but would instead be that attractive confidence most like to see in people. He can always see the bright side to any situation, combine this with his thirst for more in life and you get a "go-getter". Blu is always on the lookout for ways to better not only his image but also his person in the eyes of other's, he wants to be that guy that no one has anything bad to say about. 

Now, all that glitters is not gold, Blu is only a man and has his faults just like any other. He does not hide some creepy skeletons in his closet, he doesn't secretly hate everyone around him and plot peoples death, instead, his flaws are far more obvious to the well-trained eye. Blu wears his heart on his sleeve, is the definition of an open book, when he found of he liked guys and girls he went straight to his parents and told them, not holding back his truth and only hoping for the best. Blu's biggest flaw (especially with the field he wants to go into) is his naivety. Sure it's nice to hope for the best in every situation but Blu lacks the capacity to think that everything won't be okay, and failure hits him harder than most. This drives his hesitation and sometimes make him miss prime opportunities to move forward in life, its why he tries so hard to take things as they come but there will always be that "What if?"

All in all, Blu makes a great friend and an even better ally in the field (metaphorically speaking), he will push towards that girl (or guy) on the other side of the room that has been staring all night, he is that strong guy you turn too in a time of need, but that leaves the question: Who does Blu turn to when he needs someone? The bright and strong exterior is easily chipped away constantly by fears and regrets, but like rubber, he somehow finds a way to bounce back and try again. It's a constant cycle with Blu and those who watch close enough (and know him) make sure to catch him when he falls.[/indent]

[color=3CB371]Upbringing[/color][hr]
[indent]Blu Richard Carver is the eldest child in the Carver lineage. When they lived out on the east coast he was more of an introvert who hid behind his books and did not really dress well. He was not a black sheep, but sort of did not fit into the "Carver" line up, like that one awkward family member in photos who sticks out. It was not until they came to Salem that he felt comfortable enough to not only come out of his shell but "Come out" to everyone in general (or at least those who asked). Salem sparked something in him, this weird fire that drove him to not only want to fit in somewhere and exceed at whatever he did. He didn't get into politics to further his father's ego or his mother's dreams, he did it because it's fun and never-ending. He did not start working out to look go enough to roll with the jocks in high school, he did it to buff his confidence. 

High school in Salem was a building period for Blu, he joined football and was a swimmer, focused on his academics and kept any potential friends at arm's length. He was not a loner just not permanent in any group and lacked that "best friend" aspect. Blu's academics were great, not like they could be any less with their parents, and doing sports even furthered Daddy and mommy's love and admiration.  He wasn't worried about that though, Blu wanted to ace the next test and reach his new max on bench while dodging Cindy who tries to sit at his table during his lunch hour. By the end of his senior year, he was in a good spot, six back out to match the 3.6 GPA and going to Salem University along the Poly Sci pathway. 

College was a different time, he no longer needed to build himself, instead, he started to experience life: losing his virginity, first love and heartbreak, first drink, first time staying up till 4 to finish a paper due the next day, and that was just his first year. He evolved into the man he is today and is only continuing to grow as he goes into his next year in college hoping to further pave the way to his dreams and doing his best to deal with his fear of losing and the anxiety it brings.
