Finally, after what felt like nearly a minute of swift walking, May encountered the first monster she had ever seen - A dark green creature standing at roughly 4 and a half feet tall. The creature had a simple stone club in it's hand, and with a very high pitched screech, it came running straight for May. Out of the corner of her eye, May noticed the bright red lights of eyes piercing through the darkness that extended beyond the monster. May quickly looked at her options - It really wouldn't be too big a problem to kill the goblin. She had never killed a person before, but she had hurt several people in self defense, and she had killed several dogs that had attacked her one time. The guys at the Barrel's Edge always said that the weakest point of any thing were the eyes, the throat, and the groin. The eyes were almost certainly other goblins - so she had to take be extremely careful when taking them out. Rushing forwards, May attempted to use her free hand to knock the club out of the Goblin's grip - meanwhile slashing across his eyes with her dagger. She then attempted a swift kick in the groin, before turning tail and running the other direction. Even if she got hurt knocking the club away, she could always heal herself while running. And a blind Goblin would be far easier to take out - she would simply repeat this tactic with each goblin, and then take them all out when they were debilitated. Worst comes to worst, she could probably run all the way to the exit and escape with a little mana to spare, and try again another day.
