Ah, it looks fine to me. Indeed, a picture with a face would be nicer, in this case. Also, maybe to clarify: Kids go to school up until like 15, from they they start a traineeship with a job. They can change once, which is what your character did, so this is fine. 

I feel like this is enough, we'll get to know him better in the story itself.
