"I'm all your's boss. I'm ready for whatever you throw at me. Just let me know what you need me to do and consider it done." The lad wasn't much younger than Sully but he always viewed him as being much younger than he was. It wasn't due to how he acted or even how he looked. Everything boiled down to Sully seeing him as a younger brother, someone with potential. He was someone who with the right tutelage could make it a long way in the gang. Sully spoke to Miguel with a smile curling at the corner of his mouth. "I'm glad to hear it. Knowing how todays gone I can't see it going however we plan it. Just in case you should make sure you tool up as best you can." Sully took a deep gulp from his beer. "I imagine the guy is going to try and lay low for a while so it would make sense to give him some time." Looking down at his watch briefly Sully then cast a glance to Miguel. "We'll go from here tomorrow at midnight, but until then...drink up." Sully knocked his glass against Miguels before taking another gulp.
...Some time later...
Sully had cleared a few pints before he heard the main door to the club open. He didn't need to turn around to know who it was, their somewhat arrogant voice giving them away before they even crossed the threshold. He turned around anyway and looked at Ret as he made his way over to the bar he was sat at. ”Awful busy in here, Sully! Now let’s get down to business, shall we?” ”I’ll give you a discount, seeing the position you unfortunately find yourself in today, Sully. Only fifteen-thousand credits tonight.” Sully watched as the man lifted his sleeve to reveal his brand, but the gang member was unmoving for a moment. He looked Ret dead in the eye and stood up from his chair. "We're looking for someone in the northern sector called Garland. That name seems pretty unique so i'm guessing he won't be too difficult for you to find...no?" Sully turned and downed the remainder of his beer in one go. "We are leaving here at midnight tomorrow...i want the information by then..." Sully's expression turned more serious, pulling Rets sleeve down over his brand. "You'll get fifty large once we catch this prick." Patting Ret on both shoulders and leaning close he spoke once more, "Until then...Miguel give this gentleman whatever he wants to drink. I need to go see Remmy." Sully turned from Ret and placed his hand on Miguels on the shoulder to say goodbye. As he walked towards the door he heard Miguel speak to the visitor. "Welcome, friend. It has been a while since I last saw you. It'll be a pleasure working with you again. Have you seen Espie lately?" He was out of earshot by time Ret responded but it didn't matter to him, he had to go see Ha Ram. Outside Sully saw the two guys on security talking, both quickly stopping as they saw him emerge from the doorway. They both bowed their heads in recognition of him and his status. To Connor it was uncessary but Kazuo was adamant that everyone should show respect to their superiors. Who was Sully to argue when Kazuo had been in charge of the gang for most of his life? Connors personal preference was irrelevant because of the amount of trust he put into his boss. The man was his father as far as he was concerned and even though he lived the life of a gang member, he was raised as an 'honourable' criminal. Digging deep into his jacket pocket Sully pulled out his phone and dialled Remmy's number. The ring tone lasted a couple of seconds before her distinctive voice came over the earpiece. "Hello Connor," he couldn't see her face but he could hear the happiness in her voice. "What can I do for you?" Sully laughed as he felt a warmth sweep over his body. "What are you doing right now? I know it isn't Friday but do you want to get something to eat?" There was less than a second between Sully finishing and Remmy's response. "Yes." If she was a dog she would have bit Sully's hand off. Ha Ram tried to backtrack on her excitement, mumbling away but Sully had already heard it the happiness in her voice. "If you come to mine for around eight, i'll cook." Sully loved her cooking, it was far superior than anything he could manage himself. "I look forward to it Ha Ram. I'm going to have to go have a shower and everything, see you in a few hours." Sully waited for her response before putting the phone down. "Ok Connor, see you soon. Bye." It was no secret to anyone who spent any sort of time around the pair that they had a connection that was deep rooted within each of them. However after years of being friends, nothing had ever happened between them. For all Sully's ability to cave a mans skull with his fists and Ha Rams ability to sing in front of crowds, the pair were useless when it came to their feelings. He fully expected tonight to go the exact same way as it always did...awkward and disastrously.
[@eclecticwitch][@Firecracker_]
