Kikoquatl then allowed her siblings to began bickering with one another while she mosied over to her cave entrance to find that some gift had been left for her, it was an orange thing with a face carved into it. It was the jack-o-lantern that Mater Lei had left her but she didn’t know what it was called. Although it looked edible, it would be rude to eat a gift. Kikoquatl gave it a curious look before taking it, with some effort as it was heavy even for a goddess, and dragging it down into the cave. Once farther inside, she transformed into her more primal form, following the paths and always making a left whenever she reached a fork. Minutes passed for her, minutes turned to hours as she explored the tunnels tentatively, though some would say lazily as she stopped to simply rest every now and again rather than reaching her end goal. Yet, she eventually reached the deepest part of her caves, a few miles beneath the surface were nothing could bother her and where many mortals would die if they ventured to far. Kikoquatl then began eating the rocks in her way, but it was not a random eating, for she was deliberately carving out an area. It was a large area, almost one hundred meters across. A circle took up the center of the room and pillars held up the ceiling of the great cavern. It took much time and deliberation, but she had finished down to the minor detail, finding that this would be a perfect place for her to call home. Her form shifted back to the smaller one, still holding the pumpkin before setting it on a pedestal for it to shine its light outward and into the room. The ball of energy took residence at the top of the room, filling its center with a white light after it made the edges of the room into a magma to give the lighting a different tone. The room gave her a cozy feel, in fact she was welcome to the idea of calling the place her home, safe from the prying eyes of most gods as no one would take the effort to actually follow her, not unless they hunted for her. But there say Kiko, allowing herself to drift into a somewhat peaceful nap she drank of the heat energy that the magma around her gave off. Life was good.
Kiko makes a home!
