ZHANE "HOPPER" HENDERSON

Zhane had stumbled back to his dorm room with every intention to do some of his homework before spending the rest of the night on World's End, but the urge and itch to jump right in was unbearable and he couldn't wait. During class as he was browsing the forums and he came across a thread posted by a user named Sophos, who talked about a strange, mysterious shrine in-game, something that Zhane hadn't seen or heard of before. It caught his curious attention and he wanted to find out just what they were talking about. Even if it wasn't real, it was worth a shot. The creators of World's End were pretty friendly to the community and they were always trying to keep things interested, even if a lot of the other players and forum lurkers didn't want to believe it. "An hour tops," Zhane said as he nodded his head in agreement. "One hour then I'll do some homework." He gave himself a thumbs up, easily convincing himself that his homework could wait and the game could not. The college freshmen threw his backpack onto his desk as he gathered his VR gear which was all packed up and ready to go in a go-bag under his bed. Before heading out the door, Zhane opened up the shared fridge he and his roommate had gotten and stole a bottle of strawberry flavored water that his roommate had bought, taking a refreshing sip. Zhane made his way to the dorm basement which was filled with empty study rooms that students were allowed to use. Most of the time they were used for movie nights as each of the rooms were filled with a large flat screen TV and couches, some just had tables and chairs, but most were pretty roomy and comfy, to give students a change of scene from their off-white walls that boxed them in their room. Stumbling around for a few minutes Zhane finally found one of the smaller rooms with a TV and only two loveseats, emptying the gear onto one of the loungers as he entered. He slipped on the visor and some thin, silver gloves as his game booted up. A few minutes later after waiting for a small update, a small EULA screen popped up and like always the young man scrolled to the bottom and signed his name, clicking the next button, just wanting to get on to the game. Zhane was finally able to log onto his character, Hopper the Thief, but as he was logging in a flashing white light filled his eyes for a few seconds before finally coming up to a spot that he hadn't recognized before. With others around him he listened intently to the cute, bunny-eared NPC that stood before him. Whoever that Sophos person was from the forums was right, and somehow Zhane had managed to stumble across the place without even trying. He glanced around at the other players trying to see if he recognized anyone, but as the NPC continued on and asked if any of the players had questions before entering the gate, Zhane was getting that itch again to just go through and explore. So, without another second of hesitation the thief gave the NPC maid a thumbs up, "No questions here, ma'am." Zhane, as Hopper, walked up to the gate and hopped through it not knowing what to expect in the least.
