Though of course the lizard introduced herself in the most ridiculous manner. Heaven or Hell trial? The mage rolled her eyes, questioning for a moment if this was worth it. She was supposed to be teaching magic, history, or alchemy. Not the goddamn alphabet to a bunch of incompetent familiars. It wasn't hard for the mage to see through the lizard's real intentions as she suffocated the doll. "That's fine then - be sure to let me know if there isn't anything I'm not clarifying enough." Meowka seemed to cast a questioning and slightly hostile glance as she mentioned 'almost familiar' black kitten. "I-I'm not small!" Meowka glared at the lizard, not realizing it was in a different context. Even in that one was nineteen, dammit, not three! Sel coughed loudly in an attempt to gather their attention. "Anyways, um Meowka." Focus, Selvina. The mage looked towards the cat, since that was apparently the only person she was teaching. "Alright, Meowka. But you do know fish come from the sea, right?" The cat grumbled something hostile under her breath. "How would you ask a fishermen about what fish were in the sea? You wouldn't be able to buy fish then." It was honestly terrible logic - Sel doubted you'd have to specify that the fish needed to come from the sea ... but Meowka seemed to buy it. "... Sea ..." Selvina smiled, going on to E ... If they managed to learn all the letters she'd be pretty impressed, really. Maoin was so deep in her gloomy thoughts that she didn't even realize another's presence in front of hear until she heard a growing column of ice appear in front of her. "Huh?" The cat blinked a couple of times, surprised, before finding herself being held like some sort of bride down a ramp of ice and back into town. Like most cats (and people) Maoin didn't appreciate being picked up by this random person. "L-Let me GO, Mugi! I'll walk there if I want!" It was rather apparent that the cat was quite furious being in this position - really, she wanted to find a nice little corner to hide in. She didn't want to talk to anyone. The cat struggled a bit against the girl, even pounding the Yuki-Onna's chest with her fists a couple time pointlessly as she continued to be carried to the nurse despite her wishes. As they arrived and the kitten was guiding in, a few seconds would pass before a hurrying white mage would appear from the direction of the office. "What happened?" The mage looked at the cat, but the cat glanced away. Based on the person who just left though and a couple of drops of blood on Maoin's boot though, she managed to get the story to herself. Maoin largely stood there as the nurse looked over her face, then looked over the cat's hands. Blisters? Aetheria frowned, putting together what happened. "You there. What do you know about this?" The mage spoke sternly, but not harshly as she looked in the direction of Mugi. "The injuries to the hands were self inflicted ..." The cat didn't protest, only looking down a bit further. "... how did you find her?" The mage looked at the snow girl, waiting for a response. Of course it was adulty - Livia drank it! Fia frowned though as Lyssa said she didnt' have any money on herself at the moment - and to be fair, the girl had already bought her a dress - which she was currently wearing. "... fruit juice ..." Still shy, the girl raised her face and offered Lyssa a smile so she would understand she was grateful for the offer.
Otille Kohler
Otille winced as she was scrubbed like - well, like a cow. The woman didn't want to correct her familiar - but it needed to be brought up before her eyes started to water. "Cocoa, I'm not as tough as you. A little softer on the scrubbing, okay?" The farmer put a smile on her face and turned around to smile at her familiar for a quick moment before facing away again. The next bit was a little more ... difficult, to explain. "Cocoa, I do love you. You are a sweet little cow and quite adorable too." Well, she didn't think the Kahaunkas on Cocoa's chest were adorable, but that was for a different time and place. "You are my ... good friend, and back home I took care of you and you watched over me as well ..." She should probably get straight to the point. She wasn't educated enough to explain what she met in flowery language, and Cocoa probably wouldn't understand it. "Lover implies that we are mates, Cocoa. Like, that we um ... have sex and kiss and stuff ..." Otille turned around this time, petting Cocoa's head to make sure the cow understood this wasn't a criticism - her cheeks were utterly flushed but Cocoa's happiness was more than worth exposing her embarrassment. "... if you want to explain to people that you are my familiar you should probably tell them that I'm your mistress ..." That's the word Aetheria had used, right? Honestly, it sounded a bit ridiculous. It didn't seem like Cocoa was some sort of servant to her at least. She'd always been a bit more like a pet or a friend. "... or if that's too formal, you can say that you are my pet or my familiar. Or that I'm your mage." Otille offered a small smile and a quick hug before turning back around. "Either way, I'm glad you are with me Cocoa."
