___________________________________________________________________________ After recently watching a well done fan film and self-reminiscing about my past Legion playthrough of Fallout:New Vegas, I have been inspired to create a fandom RP set within the Fallout:New Vegas universe. The RP will be set in the year 2279, two years after the First Battle of Hoover Damn and two years prior to the canon events of the game. The story will revolve around a fledgling tribe east of the Colorado River, their territory perched along the border holdings of Caesar's Legion. This tribe has yet to meet the wrath of the Legion, but that day shall soon come. As Caesar looks to mass together slaves, gather resources, and claim lands, this steadfast independent tribe will soon find the Legion's greedy gaze upon them. Faced with inevitable war with with the Legion, what choice do they have? To surrender and be absorbed into the Legion, for their wives and daughters to be enslaved and they to be conscripted into Caesar's armies? No. They will fight. They will face the armies of Caesar and defend their independence, their homes, their families, their very lives. They will stand against the armies of Caesar and fight to the last man, they will oppose the Monster of The East... ___________________________________________________________________________ ROLEPLAY OUTLINE...
Our story begins with an envoy from Caesar's Legion arriving in the tribal village. The envoy presents them with an option, they can surrender now to the Legion and be peacefully absorbed into it's ranks. The men willing to set aside their tribal identity and take up the ways of the Legion will be commissioned into Caesar's armies, while the women and girls will be sold as slaves or serve as Legion wives, and the young boys will be taken in and trained by the Legion. The tribe vehemently refuses and sends the envoy away, who swears that they will all be crushed by the Legion. The Legion then attacks the tribes' hunting and gathering parties and destroys their pure water source. In response, the tribe chieftain gathers together a war party and attacks and destroys a Legion raiding camp. They loot the Legion camp for supplies and weapons, sending couriers back to their village with the supplies taken from the camp. The war party then forties the ruins of a Pre-War farm, and use it as a forward defensive point from Legion attack. The chieftain will also send runners to another tribe further south asking for help, as well as scavenging old ruins for food, supplies, and weapons to fight the Legion. OOC; And that's all I'll be giving away for now. The rest is to be seen and experienced within the Roleplay itself. This should however give you a basic inkling of the plot arc.
ABOUT THE TRIBE...
The Anuksu tribe (Uh-nuck-sue) , they are people of solidity and isolation, avoiding expansion and exploration into the dangerous lands of the Mojave, instead remaining locked away in their tribal compound, which they have named Hope Point. The tribe first came together roughly thirty years prior, in 2249, when several bands of wanderer sand nomads joined together and journeyed across the desert in search of a place to settle. They discovered the ruins of an Pre-War power plant, and several nearby ruined buildings. Seeing a sturdy structure that could be easily fortified and defended, they settled here, several miles southeast from Cottonwood Cove, on the eastern side of the Colorado River. Through the years, the Anuksu accomplished much for themselves; they grew crops, scavenged for resources and supplies, and fortified their compound, protecting it from mutant wildlife and savage tribals. Through the years their population steadily grew, families were raised and a new generation would inherit the tribe. At this point, the tribe is at it's peak. It's people are well fed and nourished, it's walls and buildings stand sturdy, and the current Chieftan, Horacio, guides the tribe wisely and justly.
RULES AND RESTRICTIONS
1. No godmodding, metagaming, raging, cyber bullying, ect.) 2. After 3 days of unannounced activity, your character is neutralized from player status and becomes an AI NPC. 3. Do not interfere with canon characters, ecents and happenings, though that will be hard to do. In fact, the only canon characters to appear in this RP will be Lanius, Caesar, and perhaps Vulpes Inculta, maybe. Regardless, no killing Lanius and try to avoid referencing or interacting with any canon characters that have no association to Caesar's Legion. 4. No killing important characters without a heads-up or permission, such as Anuksu tribals, Legion commanders, or key NPC's introduced by me. 5. *, characters marked with this red astrid ARE NOT to be killed. 6. Weapon Referencing; When your character picks up, finds, or trades for a new weapon, please list in parenthesis beside what weapon from Fallout: New Vegas it is. Like so; (Character) knelt by the fallen Legion soldier, reaching into his side holster and pulling the rustic looking revolver (.357 Revolver) from his corpse. (Character) raised his rifle (Hunting Rifle), his eye leering through the scope at the approaching Legion soldier below, his finger edging across the trigger. Threshold purpose of this is to keep players from getting wild with the weapons they find. No SAW HMG's or AKS-74u's, keep it restrained to canon weaponry pease. Trust me, if I don't put some kind of cap or lock on weaponry, someone will "happen to find a functional UAV drone controller on a fallen Decanus". Note: You only have to reference/list the weapon once, that being when you find/steal/trade for it. 8. 2-4 Paragraphs per post, insure you use proper grammar and sentence structuring please.
So then, if your still with me and interested after all that hefty reading then great! For now all I'm worried about is accumulating interest and gathering pledges. Further information and the Character Sheet will be provided after I have a decent sized roster of pledges or interest holders. Excited about this as a GM and I hope to see some interest!
