The grand, shining carriage making its way through the simple village stood out immensely. Many of the locals stopped to watch as it was driven past them, knowing all too well that it was heading towards the home of the resident giant slayer. Leaving the smaller streets, the carriage eventually slowed to a stop in front of a lone cottage right next to a large farm. The front door to the cottage swung open, revealing the farmer himself, and a young brunet with a duffel bag slung over his shoulder. Jack playfully ruffled his son's hair before the latter stepped out, waving goodbye to his father. Knowing that Edwyn was an independent child, Jack need not be worried about the boy being able to handle himself. Edwyn boarded the carriage, taking a moment to admire the aesthetics. He then noticed the others in the vehicle. Two girls, who looked they were both of different backgrounds, were sitting together and chatting. Deciding to settle into a seat right behind a well-dressed, refined-looking boy, he contemplated on the best way to start a conversation. This child seemed... well, like he would probably make a good connection to have, if nothing else. Leaning forward and resting his arms on the boy's backrest, Edwyn then spoke. "Fancy ride eh?"
