[color=sandybrown][i]Silas is a quiet soul, not a man of many words. He doesn't connect easily with people but he [b]does[/b] care for them, he's extremely empathetic to a point where it can drain on him at times. He wears his heart on his sleeve and it's never a struggle to know how he's feeling. He tries to help where he can but he's painfully shy, people seem to sort of scare him.

He often finds himself dodging conversation or trying to wiggle out of social situations. If one manages to hold a conversation with him, he's very kind and caring. He's very much the doting type and he'll put the needs of those he cares for above himself.[/i][/color]

[color=sandybrown][b]Dream Manipulation.[/b][/color]
[color=sandybrown][i]He can create, shape, enter and manipulate the dreams of himself and others, including modifying, suppressing, fabricating, influencing, manifesting, sensing, and observing dreams as well as nightmares, daydreams, ect. He can produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming, entrap people in REM, and promote spiritual/emotional healing within dreams.

However, should he use these abilities too often, he can succumb to a kind of narcolepsy. He loses control over when he's awake and when he's asleep, these sleeps will usually end in tremendous nightmares. When he's awake, he'll find himself hallucinating and groggy. For his own mental health, it's best that he uses his powers sparingly. These side effects pass in time.

Any injuries inflicted upon him in a dream will reflect upon his waking body.[/i][/color]

[color=sandybrown][b]Appearance.[/b][/color]
[color=sandybrown][i]Silas is a tall boy, built very slender and long legged. He's conventionally attractive with a fine featured face, high cheekbones and a pointed chin. He has pale skin, lightly freckled around the bridge and tip of his nose and a pair of light brown eyes. His hair is a light brown with a bit of a blond undertone.

He has many scars, one in particular that cuts through the side of his mouth.[/i][/color]

[color=sandybrown][i]Silas suffered from a sleeping disorder known as parasomnia throughout his entire life, this disorder caused sleep paralysis and sleepwalking. It was a bit of a pain to deal with but he quickly became used to it. He took precautions to avoid sleepwalking and learned as many techniques as he could to break sleep paralysis. Though all of these things couldn't change that his dreams were extremely realistic and terrifying for him. 

He lived a fairly normal life until he started to develop his powers in teenhood. He didn't quite know what was going on at the time, just that he had started having more pleasant dreams than he was used to. He was starting to experience these dreams in an oddly disconnected way, as if he were simply viewing them and not partaking in them.

He started to discover that he could change the course of these dreams with some effort and focus and thus began his ability to control his powers. By the time that he was twenty, he'd become kind of a pro at changing and affecting dreams, it was something that he kept to himself for the most part.

When he was twenty two, he decided to take this power to the streets to follow in the footsteps of many heroes before him. He decided to test the waters with his ability and to see if he could get into the waking mind of a man that was trying to rob a young woman, [b]this ended catastrophically[/b]. He ended up passing out from the strain and was found later with a deep cut in the corner of his mouth, while talking furiously in his sleep. The robber was also found passed out nearby.

He was promptly brought to New Horizons. He didn't put up much of a fight when he got there and seemed to roll with his new environment easily but he was far from comfortable.[/i][/color]
