Could this day get any weirder? Wake up without breakfast like normal. Check! Walk to the store for said breakfast and discover a hobo is really a cannibalistic demon out to eat people. Check! Get so terrified that you drive a stolen car all the way to the nearest international airport, hop on a plane and leave the country. Check! Of all these things that recapped through Monica Dansbury's head in an instant, one question rose to the forefront. How the hell did she know my last name? Looking down into her lap, Monica noticed that her ticket was safely ensconced in a very unreadable position so that couldn't have been it. On the flip side, the woman did seem oddly offended at the accusation that she was like the creature Monica had encountered earlier. What had she just gotten herself into? Some weird Upper East Side vampiric cult? No, Monica chided herself mentally. You've been watching FAR too much [s]Twilight?[/s] Dusklight. Taking a deep shaky breath and willing this to all be a dream, she gingerly put her hand on top of the other's outstretched one, squeezing her eyes shut and waiting for the pinpricks at her neck that meant either death or death then an immortality as a vampire. Oddly pleasant distracting thoughts flashed through her mind of her lying on a cloudy Forks, WA beach, her cold and pale form glittering with rain. The thought of a lone human boy walking up the beach, asking her if she was cold at all, and a feeling of intense thirst as she looked at the boy...although Monica's fear-ridden brain probably mistook vampiric thirst for sexual attraction. Although was that not the same thing for vampires? Well, Monica supposed, I guess I might just find out. The woman had mentioned something about being a member of a Warriors of Divine Light group. Unless she was a vampire with an oddly sick sense of humor, Monica couldn't see her belonging to a cult with light in their name. With the exception of [s]Twilight[/s] Dusklight vampires, most classic vampires couldn't stand the sun or light. Unless this was some special breed of masochistic vampire that worshiped the sun. All these fanciful ideas and more flitted through Monica's brain as she tried her best to shut out the rest of the world, wondering why time had seemed to slow to a crawl....and then remembered that it had. "Well? Hurry it up already!" Monica snapped, eyes still closed, not knowing what to expect at all. [@Kuroakuma]
