Mind you, these are more like general overviews and explanations of what magic is, not so much how it works. Then again, we sorcerous types don't really know or care much about how magic works, it just does for us" Aerta explained as she got up and returned with some books for Yssil. 

"Here on some on the various ways magic is used. We call them 'schools of magic' for short. I wrote some of these myself, you know. Just be careful about the blood magic and necromancy ones. Those are copies of texts which reference those works, but I assure you that I don't practice, teach, or know about those kinds of spells."
