The Chukotka Autonomous Okrug sat north-east of Russian Federation's mainland, and wasn't a federal subject of Russia until 1991. A region loosely populated with a history of mineral mining from tin, gold, and graphite industries in the past, but by-large wilderness inhabits this immense province. Chukotka shares its population rank with Nenet Autonomous Okrug in least populated federal subjects at 82th and an estimation of 50,000 living inhabitants according to their census. A region divided by an arctic desert, a taiga, and a tundra. These segmented parts of Chukotka are administered by 6 districts, but Anadyrsky stationed a particular unregistered city during the soviet union despite being an oblast. A site which aided mineral and mining prospects with expansion unto exotic technological possibilities, and suddenly snuffed away concurrently of the Soviet's fall.

Vorka City was a metropolitan mega-city developed specifically for industry involving rare metals composites several miles north from city limits into the crag. Soviets started development in 1950 but didn't accelerate their progress until 1970 when a German expatriate named Volker Ziegler divulge prospects of a new type of generator. Prospects for an entirely new processing facility using a high power non-nuclear facility seemed enticing, but the creation of Vorka Tower off of Volker's schematics and notes suggested greater possibilities into space exploration. 1978 saw completion of Volker's 1500' tower reminiscent in design to the Eiffel Tower in France, but with exception to a distinct edifice nestled perfectly within its lattice construction. A brass colored support building offered integral support up to 2 platform levels out of concrete, but ended at the upper 3rd and tip. These subsequent levels coordinated with heavy machinery took brunt weight of hundreds of tons worth of man-made power. Inspiration from Paris' landmark was not purely coincidental given the intention of Volker's project in collaboration with Soviet intelligence. The city, and tower, was named adequately for what could be considered not revolutionary to sciences, but evolutionary to physics itself.

Vorka tower housed a deeper secret. A clandestine operation of maximum importance to utilize a specific energy or rather channeling the transmission of one. Volker posit that reality, even at an estranged super-physical level, held an emission of undetermined energy; however, this phenomenon was only conceivably detected in red shifting radio waves and was not capable of physical interaction since the cosmos was, in fact, the incoming radiation of said energy. It would be dubbed "Radaeon" these red-shift radiowaves could potentially generate mechanic possibilities beyond what could be humanly attainable. Volker proved his findings back in Germany during World War 2 by his mentor, but no workable mechanism existed until 1948 with pioneering understanding of Cosmic Background Radiation that deviated from the theory of Radaeon. This research offered beneficial insight into its rediscovery in the 1960s, but Soviet Russia panicked by the likelihood of Western interest into investigating Radaeon. France's Eiffel tower's open-lattice design allowed only micro-readings of Volker's red-shift waves but needed a generator that would either draw or conflict with any tangible forces. Vorka City, originally named Анатолий, would be proposed as a suitable exclusionary site from Western intelligence in the infancy of spy satellites with Volker given width for maximum coverage. Citizens were informed the tower served as a land-mark of Soviet technological prowess since its antenna array provided bandwidth range further than any building to date, and that such a feat would be a momentum to national pride. The antenna, apex of the tower's constricting coil tip, would broadcast globally unlike any man-made edifice before it; however, they were only told a half-truth since Russian security classified the site until the fall and even then was forgotten by time. The city's derelict state was not a consequence of negligence, but a product of awry.

1989 and Vorka Tower conducted several test proving conclusively the existence of Volker's Radaeon; albeit, no practical utilization came to and the Soviet's budget began to tank. Space exploration along with missile development sunk most of anyone's fiances and their investment in Radaeon to break their technological barrier proved insufficient let-alone fantastical. Military involvement rushed experimentation stages in a fruitless endeavor to any meaningful advance in beating fossil fuel engineering as this power projected to even change gravitational constants. With one stroke of genius did a brilliant magenta spark illuminated the entire province. A small surge with enough luminescence to be seen from orbit, but dim enough to be admired for what appeared to be answer to futility. For a brief moment the generator inside of the brass-colored building ran at absolute to spec efficiency, and for a few seconds would a splendid fuchsia shift into a radiant red luster that all machinery activated on their own with no intended purpose. Electricity malformed in conformity with Radaeon and all witness with uncertainty what the future held until a singular dash beamed outward. A translucent red ray streamed north and carved onto the crag a sharp horizontal line which bisected it. For a moment it seemed that harnessing the red-shifting energy of the universe was too much for man, but it was knowledge he lacked is what truly killed him. What stood of Vorka city now is buried in ruble, snow, and ash as a result. Vorka's town-square that centered its greatest attraction remained relatively in tact, but every other building all throughout decayed under ruin from partially destroyed buildings. A war-zone became what was a mega-city offering to surpass Jakarta now rest abandoned. Residential portions annihilated, skyscrapers strewn across, leveled business districts, and deeply scarred terrain is its only denizens. Survivors described armageddon with God vengefully cleaving heaven and earth with electricity coiling around swords of light.

The Soviet Union will fall in 1991 along with any prospect in Radaeon. Vorka City became lost in Chukotka's various mountain ranges, plateaus, and even steppes to the arctic wasteland. Snow and ash occupy once prosperous ideas of a powerful Soviet future. Many surrounding buildings either crumbled or its guts exposed and buried under a dirty dark white. This former mining town that was no stranger to dirt-storms now couldn't discern ash from snow peppering the ground in a grueling pattern of black and white from soot. Fires extinguished by natural forces that happened upon them and it seem even certain skyscrapers were dissected, striped, or lathed with symmetrical holes bore into them. Their prime would not tower over Vorka Tower but what devastated this city proved why they had no chance of doing so. Surveying from a bird's eye view one could determine where beams of Radaeon struck and drew across the city. Buildings, floor, and everything caught in its path completely obliterated and these large trenches now filled with debris and snow. No human is permitted access to this remote settlement for sink-holes and "trench" traps make it unsafe even for excavation. Anyone alive rather forget and any possible coordinates can only be obtain from satellite with all roads eradicated or entombed. Most of the copper, aluminum, and salvageables stripped in 1995 render this place "no man's land". Federation Scientist are frightful of atmospheric damaged caused by the incident correlating the city's temperature even during winter to be uncharacteristically high, and believed any ray escaping earth's gravity may have permanently damaged this side of the globe. Communist Russia's collapse and its ambition could be attributed to happened here: the totality of a true cold war made manifest.

For the tower itself? It remained unscathed since its construction. It rested on a purely concrete pedestal 9' high with its south facing facade sloping to the large road that allowed trucks and other convoys to pass security. The southern road had no intersection for a mile and the square traffic circle bused industrial cargo or business depots off the side around the premises. The concrete platform under the tower raised its elevation only 9' feet with no other possible entrance except the south road. Any provisional checkpoints are gone or left abandoned with a large empty space of sullied snow between a city and its monstrosity. The first upper level will not be for another 200' with an additional 194' to the 2nd stage above it. The intermediary stage, not supported by the Power-Station, is 264' after the 2nd stage with the final upper platform at 262' above that. For simplistically: 200' from the ground level, 394 2nd stage, 658' intermediary, final upper platform 920', upper sup-station check point 1300', and the antenna apex at 1500'. The power station inside Vorka's tower is 500' up with its roof acting as a closed off walking area only accessible through climb or the station itself with surrounding trusses camouflaging its interior. Said power-station's width matched the tower's inner dimensions (224' 6 15/64th" all sides) with each level having 2 mega-doors facing both North and South sides. These doors have been sealed since the 1990s with possible means of entry. If one were to explore the station they'd find the remains of only catwalks and an empty basin where a large generator once rested. Vorka's tower struck semblance of the Eiffel in all but its upper levels. A coiling lattice of steel gave the sup-section checkpoint an interesting aesthetic much akin to a coil which bulged. It seems the only age befallen Vorka was rumor.

The frozen desert covered the landscape in a blinding white shade. Sunlight cast its glow across the tundra, causing a blinding effect called “Photokeratitis” to occur in all but the unprepared as they would attempt to cross the many arduous miles that led to the old soviet metropolitan. Amid the hills of ice and snow, tracks would be evident – proof of recent passage, be it from an animal or otherwise. It was in following these holes in the ground that one would come across a figure dressed all in white – partially obscured due to his outfit’s similarity to the landscape. As one would approach, they’d hear the loud expletives about someone named “Jhieten”.

“….bastard always sending me off to god’s asshole. Just once, I’d LOVE to hear him say ‘oh Mitsu, I’m sending you to sunny Hawaii’ or…’Oh Mazono, You’re heading to the Caribbean’. Noooo He always gives those missions to Serenity and Mystic…fuck Mitsu!”

Considerable complaints streamed from his lips like water through a faucet. He wasn’t necessarily a tall individual, nor was his size an indicator of great physical triumph. The one thing that would stand out however…was his lack of external warmth. For someone traversing such harsh and cold temperatures in nothing more than a suit long-coat, he seemed absolutely fine if not…a little hot himself. What was stranger was that for someone walking through the snow, he seemed completely untouched and unphased by the cold substance – as with every step, small holes would appear before the area that his foot was to step on – as if melted by an intense heat. The strange man had just passed into the city itself and with a single look he had only one thing to say; “This place is a shithole…”

Golden eyes, their serpent like pupils, darted left and right as the disheveled buildings and structures were fully taken in and analyzed by his discerning gaze. Destruction had once faced this city – as was evident from the scorch marks on stone, the way certain buildings were falling apart and others were barely touched at all. A sort of…Ghost Town feel to it truly. Vorka City; It wasn’t a place unknown to him, quite the opposite. Vorka City was located only four hundred and fifty miles east of the old VOLTZ Complex, his former home. Though this was to be his first time traversing among the once bustling streets of Soviet make. Mitsu would’ve been awestruck by the architecture still standing in solitude after all these years…but there was something far more pressing taking up his concerns that even such a city couldn’t cause him to shift his attention from.

Mazono’s presence here hadn’t been coincidental – after all, who would willingly walk out to the middle of nowhere for nothing? No, his presence here was purely professional and it was in that reason that his mind was so preoccupied with thoughts. Having been contacted by Vertex home base, Mazono had been granted a contract that had caused a moment of pause in his normal enthused response. The targets name was not unknown to him, even if the person in question wasn’t a personal acquaintance. Merely, the name itself was synonymous with his past….and now everything had come full circle. What once he had struggled to put behind him, was now a very real and present aspect of his current life. The Target in question? A ‘young’ man named Dias Blade.

A name that had a large past behind it, Mitsu had spent the four day trek to Russia studying every piece of relevant information that had been gathered on the man over the years, but unfortunately it hadn’t been very revealing. Most people indicated he was ‘a man who could make the impossible possible’, others stated he ‘seemed a god’. The firsthand accounts were of course waved off with a bit of incredulity to the man’s gifts, as Mitsu himself knew very clearly how the general public had been reacting to individuals of unique and special abilities. For the most part, the only clear bit of information that could be ascertained was the man’s physical appearance.

With a heavy sigh; Mazono realized that once again it would be up to him to find out for himself just what made this man a ‘god’ amongst the common folk. Stopping mid-stride, Mitsu gazed upon the Eiffel Tower like structure with awe. Its large and deliberate design seemed out of place for the center of town, and potentially the reason the city had gone bankrupt. As his eyes adjusted, he noticed a series of landings ascending in a strange pattern up to the very top of the structure. His body hummed and began to glow before a loud crack filled the air. A flash of lightning would strike down upon the 2nd level platform, and it was from here Mazono began to keep an eye out as he examined the strange city. As his examination concluded, he realized that at one point this must’ve been quite a place…sad that the tundra reclaimed it.

No more time for examination, simply the time to prepare for the coming battle; Mazono’s strange ever present undulation of air began to expand outward thirty feet as his Thunderdome extended to its full mass. Additionally, the Iron Sand Canisters adorning his hip bloated and broke releasing the piles of self-propagating substance into the air around him. It was only a matter of time…before something were to happen and prepared he would be as he reached down and grasped his hands behind his back to take into his grip the pair of Ratifiers he’d readied for combat. The strange mechanical apparatus at his hand, The Zeus Cannon, was already beginning to hum as the charging sequence began for all three firearms. He may not of had much information to go off of for Dias Blade, but he wasn’t about to be taken off-guard. Now, with glowing gold eyes – the slowed down perception of the world in full effect – gazing across the land from a slightly elevated position; Mazono waited to once more claim his throne.

Come out…come out…wherever you are!

Amidst the shallow howl of an ice biting gale passing over the dunes and littered remains of a time now forgotten, the roar of an engine could be heard in the backdrop of this desolate place, beckoning to the harsh clouds high above. Standing out from the snowy terrain rode a raven painted motorcycle traversing what used to be a road now tattered and partially covered in freezing ash. The rider was bundled up in multiple layers, dressed in black attire fitting for such a deathly dystopia.

Then again, the color was also traditional wear for attending a funeral... But we're getting ahead of ourselves.

This tournament had proven to be one hell of a ride. From wheat fields to an old pyramid and a literal ride to hell on Mars. And now it all culminates in this final chapter. The last challenge. Mitsu Mazono was a name he knew well enough, recalling vague moments together during their time aboard the Aethera State ship. He had briefly encountered the man in passing prior to all this. The reason for joining the infamous TZDL. Truthfully, though, most of his memories of that time were still fragmented, a result of him being trapped for so long in Daemonium. Aside from his name and general appearance, Dias couldn't really remember much of what happened before the battle at Del Ciello.

Mitsu was not a man to be taken lightly. His reputation as some sort of Grim Reaper was known to many in the underworld of society. An assassin who left his targets dead without any open wounds, like a ghost, there one moment then gone the next. Even a number of notable fighters who had crossed blades with the Narrian in the past were said to have been killed off by "Serpent Eye Mazono."

Despite this, such thoughts gradually faded to white just as the snow bounding in every direction as far as the eye could see. None of that seemed to matter now. Gloved hands gripped tighter at the prospect of their upcoming duel. Two enter. One leaves.

Upon reaching the outer perimeter of the target area, the bike pulled up to one of the hollowed out ruins in the urban graveyard and parked underneath a crude overhang. He would need to continue on foot from here. Leaving the motorcycle behind, the man passed through the structure's interior, figuring it best to stay hidden under cover. There was no telling if his opponent had already arrived. He had seen the massive landmark standing at the center of what used to be Vorka City. Apparently the once sprawling metropolis had been the scene of a terrible disaster which devastated the surroundings. It would explain all the restless spirits roaming about.

Peering through the shadows of his jacket's hood, the pair of vibrant red eyes watched the phantasmal silhouettes of those lost during the incident as they played out their daily routines. This must have been a shopping mall back then. He gave pause and took notice of the child nearby begging their parent to go into a toy store with them. Moments later, the two apparitions faded away and showed up further back the way he had just come from, as if having been reset as they proceeded to act out the display once again. Forever trapped in a memory with no end...

A trail of foot prints left behind as he carried onward, he couldn't afford to be caught up by these distractions. Heavy footfalls were the only solace offered to this heartfelt sadness.

Finding a hole in the wall lead him out to a small alleyway, encountering more of the same. Focusing his crimson stare like adjusting a lens, his sight pierced the obstacles standing in his way, the ether present in the surroundings providing an outline of solid objects he could discern. Finding a way forward, he began the long hike through the maze of steel and concrete, making for the looming colossus of a tower at the center square.

THEME:

As he grew closer, he could feel the sensation washing over him. The calm before the storm. Having just entered a large warehouse which sat at the left hand corner of the southern road feeding into the center square, Dias came to an abrupt halt with sword in hand. The metal sheath was allowed to freely slip off of the glistening blade held out to his side, sparking along the razor sharp edge as the symbology depicted in his iris locked into their completed sequence. The Nihilus Paradox gave him such a demonic portrayal brimming brightly in that ruby gaze like a knife cutting through the darkness.

Manipulating the latent energy within his own body, muscle fibers were woven tighter and given added support to enhance strength, bones reinforced to withstand the intense physical strain for such levels of combat he had come to expect. Taking a deep breath, he could see the warm air exhaled through his nose, calming the mind. The world around him began to slow down to a crawl, frame by frame, becoming detached as his thoughts accelerated and awareness expanded to encompass the immediate area beyond the confines of this building serving as cover. Blocking out the emotional feedback from the wandering shades, it didn't take long to register the murderous presence of another coming from the tower.

That must be him...

In that instant, the space surrounding the Narrian gradually became distorted, saturated by raw ether from the Krydesa to manifest a ninety foot radius field. Azure flames abruptly wreathed his figure in a burst from the weapon, the outer layers being burned off as his hood was seared to reveal long flowing locks of radiant blue hair, the bulky clothing torn away and converted into the metaphysical energy now surging about the warrior.

Clenching onto the hilt of the legendary SoulLink with his mouth, Dias brought both hands out to either side, a sphere of light conjuring in the open palms. Taking hold, the radiance spread out from between his fingers, giving shape to several katana in each hand. Meanwhile, the ether reacted to his imaginative artistry, twenty longswords appearing behind him with the blades pointed down and staying in a uniform line up as they floated in the air; a cape made of pristine steel.

At the same moment, his arsenal of eight, seven foot long zweihanders were drawn forth, the ether around him forged together to craft the imposing adamantite weapons with their fourteen inch broadsides doubling as both sword and shield. They remained hovering just above the cold, dusty surface of the floor beneath them ten feet out from where Dias stood to form a protective ring around their master.

With a killer mentality, the old war veteran fell silent, having kept from telegraphing his position to the enemy. The boarded up windows would serve well to hide the visual cues caused by his various weapons manifesting. It was anyone's guess how things were going to go down here.

Game time...

The roar of an engine would echo across the countryside. An unusual choice of vehicle to approach such a ghastly city due to its noise in comparison to the silence all around. The large buildings obscuring sight preventing the man in white from viewing the avenue of approach. The sound grew louder and louder as it approached the city’s outer edge before….silence. The ever present smile remained unchanged as the figure standing on the tower shifted his gaze to and fro.

Ears strained to the limit, Mazono hoped that his enhanced perceptions would’ve assisted in at least locating an area of approach, but the approach of his enemy was silent and well planned – a testament to their years of combat no doubt. Falling into his own power, Mazono exhaled deeply, causing a reaction to occur all around him. Billowing grains of black – purely visible due to the white backdrop of the snow – swirled around him like a pillar of rising flames. Denser and denser the cloud became as the Iron Sand’s self-propagating effect ate away at the fallen snow and debris surrounding his immediate vicinity. As the granules came into contact with the non-biological mass, the object would slowly deteriorate and be replaced with a pile of black sand.

The storm of dust intensified as it spread outward more and more, filling the 30 foot field of power with its substance. Within its center, Mitsu remained, his breathing steady and purposeful as if the very action was the causality of the dust’s actions. To a spectator, one would see a thirty-foot dome of black – vision to the center obscured by the material’s shifting and condensed form. A barely audible hum of building energy emanating from the semi-sphere’s location. As the sand continued to shift and move, golden lightly barely escaped from the openings caused by the granule’s movement.

More

Within the center of this field, Mazono continued to inhale and exhale as a buildup of impressive electrical energy filled the thirty foot area with its intense and brilliant luminescence the light growing brighter and brighter until the man in white was blotted out by the sheer brilliance. The hum of the barely visible field of defensive power growing louder and louder as the energy within grew more and more intense. More and more energy began to gather until – without warning – the illumination would dissipate, the electrical discharge compressing into the form of the man in white. With one final exhalation, a sheen of white-blue formed around the outline of his body, a testament to the activation of the first stage of his Thunder God Teleport.

More

From his illuminated form, hidden behind the shroud of black, energy would steam off of his body like vapor. The 30 foot space found itself suddenly becoming filled with basketball sized spheres of white-blue until there was barely any room for movement. Sparks of power rising from the surface of these dense electrical balls, Mazono continued to focus his power inward, until his eyes snapped open. The brilliant golden glow of his enhanced perception witnessed the field of arc-spheres around him with satisfaction. All was prepared, and it was about time. The hum of energy grew louder still as the 30 ft dome of pitch began to rise into the air completing its shape and becoming a perfectly solid black sphere as it rose. Once reaching twenty feet above him, Mazono ceased the rise of the construct. Undulation more and more evident around him as the black obstruction was removed from the interior.

Now then, where will you attack me from….Narrian

THEME:

It didn't take long to locate his adversary, immediately picking up on the sudden display of power from his opponent atop the tower. The release of energy was having an adverse reaction to the Ether in the surrounding environment, causing the assassin to stick out like a sore thumb. Though what was more alarming was the sheer magnitude of it, creating violent ripples to fluctuate outward with such vibrant intensity. Invisible to the naked eye, the Narrian's unique perception could easily make out the disruptive patterns as even nearby phantasms were driven off. Whatever was happening, Dias was swift to move in kind, projecting his own presence throughout the expanded aura to confuse any spiritual means of detection by presenting false data. Just as back then...the era of war. This trick typically made it difficult to pinpoint exactly where he was at and cause enemy trackers to rely on line of sight or other mundane senses.

With the flame of determination burning brightly in his ruby gaze, Dias crossed his arms as the six katana he held began to radiate with infused azure radiance. With a snap of his wrist, each sword was let loose with expert marksmanship, the blades sticking the floor and ceiling of the warehouse with metal wires wrapped around their tsuka (hilt) and tied to his fingers to bridge the distance between them. The weapons had been positioned like points for a triangle, serving to better spread out and effectively speed up the injection of raw ether into the physical infrastructure with a constant stream from the Krydesa being fed through along each cord.

Launching himself back out of the building through the alleyway opening he had entered from, with fists clenched tight, the Narrian touched down and dug a heel into the concrete surface. With but a single thought, the building's foundation cracked and then ruptured, now heavily saturated by the mass of metaphysical energy. With the air beginning to swirl about his figure, the protective ring of floating zweihanders closed in to act as a makeshift wall while careful not to catch the wires. Without warning, a flood of ether gathered beneath the warehouse and abruptly ignited. Generating a massive amount of explosive force to actually clear the city street and hurl the entire structure off of the ground and through the air, flying straight at Mitsu to hopefully interrupt whatever he was doing. The loud ruckus shook the ruined metropolis with a fearsome quake, the wind whistling through the cracks and small openings of the now skyward facility set to collide with the tower and threatening to crush Serpent Eyes. It would make impact just before the activation of the Thunder God Teleport's first stage.

Meanwhile, the wires connected to the swords still inside the large building turned makeshift cannonball, continued to stretch as they were given plenty of slack so as to maintain the link with Dias who continued to stay vigilant and on guard, prepared to act at a moment's notice. The invisible swath of ethereal coursing throughout the structure was unstable, like an enormous bomb waiting to blow at any instant...

Ruling

  • Mitsu Mazono is located at P1.B: 2nd stage 394' elevated from the base platform facing west.
  • Dias Blade designated his starting point at P2.B: roof top south. Straight line to P1.B
  • Dias did not adequately position himself at the starting location as required when participating this match. P2.B is on the roof of the building across from P1.B over 600' away, but Dias remained in the building instead.
  • The ability to manipulate spirits, ghost, or apparitions is not in Dias' profile sheet (Damaru Chikara) for him to not only determine the power level his foes, but to scramble his own presence using these methods.
  • Damaru Chikara does not contain pertinent feats relating to concealing the presence of its user.
  • The extrasensory range of Damaru Chikara does not have a definitive range. Dias sensing Mitsu over 627.8' feet away goes beyond the allotted limits given to other competitors in this tournament.
  • The magnitude requires to toss an entire 351.5'x185 (not including z height) building boarders schedule 2 in power.

Verdict The fight continues with 3 stipulations. The building toss, initiated by Dias Blade, can be mitigated freely by Decoy's Mitsu Mazono at his absolute discretion as a penalty for Dias' utilizing a schedule 2 attack. Decoy may dispense of the upcoming threat as he desires in a conventional matter (dodge or block it). Another stipulation is the revealed location of Dias Blade as failure to meet the conditions required by his starting point. Dias must be at the roof of the very building he occupies at some point in his introduction stated by the rules of the tournament:

"Maps will contain spawn locations from where a player MUST be during their introduction whether in the beginning or end of it." ~ TZDL2017 - Combat General 4th Bullet1

Mitsu Mazono from this ruling forward will know the location of his opponent until such a time Dias may be concealed or hidden from his adversary within reason.

Damaru Chikara will be given a provision mandating that it will have an extrasensory of 200' which is 100' more than the unmentioned regulation imposed on other combatants as compensation on an oversight by the judges; however, Dias is in violation of a previous verdict issued during the Sudden Death conditions addressing explicit use of elements/powers beyond what was stated in his profile submission.

"Penalty and enforcement: Dias is restricted only purely to his profile sheet and provisions. He may improvise provided his character abilities allow it strictly." ~ TZDL2017 - Semi Finals (Xavier Bloodbayne vs Dias Blade)2

Dias Blade cannot use spirits, ghost, apparitions, and etc as an auxiliary extrasensory nor could Damaru Chikara conceal or shroud it operator from sensory of others whether "paranormal" or otherwise. Use of "spirits and ghost" in Dias' previous posts was only in flavor text and not, nor shall be, functional in this match or this tournament. Decoy you may post at your discretion. I will be making an edit to the original post of this threat in the Rules section to correct P2.B and P2.A's description. They are reversed in text despite what the diagram says.

The loud cacophony of sound echoed throughout the ghastly ruins, diverting his thoughts for the moment and dispelling his focused build-up of energy and causing a backlash to occur that wasn’t necessarily planned. As the building crashed into the solid hemisphere of the Iron-Sand enriched dome of defense, a tear would form in the shell and the power that had been building within would release outward in an explosion of light and power forcefully expelled by such a strange attack that disintegrated the once solid structure into small pebbles that were swiftly converted into Iron-Sand by the self-propagating granules.

Remaining chunks of stone and brick would fall upon the street below – harmlessly clicking and clacking as they made contact with the concrete surface below. As the light dissipated, the scene on the platform had now changed as the blackened dome had once again become transparent and undulating with iron sand streams rising around it like a slowly-rotating dust cloud. Standing in the center, more irritated at being interrupted than anything, Mazono shot a glance around his immediate vicinity – noting the lack of a building that had once been to the south of his position and in its place…a strange defensive formation of swords encasing a figure yet unseen.

You must be him.

The words echoed through his mind, as Mitsu turned his body to regard the strange scene. On instinct, his right and left arms were brought to bear as his enhanced perception of the world around him caused time to seemingly slow down. His eyes would narrow in as the serpent like gaze examined the sight before him with an informed eye. A protective wall of blades? Swords dug into the ground in defiance? Regardless of the what and the why, the Lightning Emperor had deemed the sight unusual and as such responded to it as he would anything he didn’t understand. He attacked it. Just like he had the strange cloud of miasma he’d run into in Egypt.

With the twin Ratifiers and Zeus cannon angled to aim at the interlinked swords standing where a building had only just been, Mazono’s ever present grin widened as a loud CRACK echoed through the empty streets. From the one sound three rounds soared towards their target. The Zeus Cannon’s large weighted shell propelling towards the target faster than the twin Ratifer rounds. A unique field of bio-electricity radiating outward in a four foot radius from the mighty projectile, enhancing its own unique defense which would act similar to the wielders Thunder-Dome defense. In this instance, it was visible as a vermillion hue overtook its usual transparent undulation and transformed into a brilliant red object roaring towards the stationary swords. The impact from this weapon would cause the most damage and would threaten to shatter through the defensive formation.

The other two smaller shots, the Ratifier rounds, would follow directly behind the Zeus, intent to pepper the initial impact zone with two additionally strong impacts that would – in theory – be more than enough to break through multiple buildings, let alone some blades of metal. The weaponry of the man in white would threaten to cause the shell of swords to shatter in response to the impact and would continue, if successful in breaking the formation, into the center where they would attempt to hit whatever could be within the center of its mass.

From his position, Mazono’s legs bent as the sound of twisting leather filled his ears. The muscles in his lower torso would bulge as tension and kinetic force was built up within the appendages to launch the young man at a moment’s notice should a need arise. His eyes, never leaving to swords, had to wonder exactly what had just happened to the building that had been standing just moments prior. The thought crossed his mind that the object that had slammed into his solidified field could’ve been the building itself was quickly dismissed. That would be ludicrous! There was no information in the dossier that indicated that his enemy had such strength let alone the capability to do such…yet…it could’ve been missed! If Jhieten had managed to make a mistake….oh god did he hope that Jhieten had made a mistake…

Oh Jhieten…I get to say you were wrong?! Oh this is already turning out to be such a FUN day!!!

Once more his body began to hum with energy as he internally began to prepare his electrical discharge for an attack of mighty proportions, should this initial assault fail to achieve the desired result. There was no time to take chances in his mind, as something – anything – had caused that building to disappear….and whatever it was had a power all too potent to ignore. Within his enhanced perception, power flowing through him, Mitsu waited…

Holy crap, the entire warehouse that had just been catapulted was seemingly disintegrated outright with chunks and various debris crashing down into the street below. That was rather unexpected, to say the least, the wealth of burned Ether previously injected into the structure being instantly dispersed the moment physical contact was lost. Utterly wasted... So much for that plan. The six katana that were left buried in the building's interior were promptly dislodged by the crazy powerful discharge which must have come from Mazono himself, causing a break in connection with Dias.

The metal threads he had attached to the hilt of each weapon were suddenly dissolved by his touch, no longer serving any purpose at that point.

Of course, he wouldn't simply wait for his adversary to respond. More of the surrounding energy from his field gathered into the palm of each hand, taking hold as a pair of arming swords manifested in his grip. Finally they were able to get a good look at one another, with Serpent Eyes getting a gander of the large blades acting as a makeshift shield wall. A smirk crossed the Narrian's face in that moment as before the man could even let loose the barrage, like flicking a switch inside Dias' head, the greatswords which Mitsu had been so fixated on without warning lit up with a burst of blinding radiance. Blazing with all the intensity of a solar flare, it would serve to hopefully take the other man by surprise and leave him dazed. Thankfully, not something the Narrian had to be concerned with due to his altered perception of the world.

Meanwhile, a mere second after triggering the obnoxious light show, Dias had already moved, launching himself skyward with the ground beneath where he once stood having cracked. By igniting small directed bursts of burned Ether, the swordsman evacuated the scene just in time to avoid getting caught up in the hailstorm of bullets which tore through the blades only to find nothing on the other side. In response, just as Mitsu opened fire, several of the floating swords acting as a fancy cape for the warrior broke off from formation to take aim at the legendary assassin. Their hilts then shattered with the Ether contained within erupting as each blade was sent flying through the air as lethal projectiles delivering enough force to easily puncture a solid inch of titanium plating.

In the meantime, another eight zweihanders began to form to replace the ones abandoned, maintaining a defensive perimeter floating five feet out from him and ready to counter at a moment's notice.

Now this is a fight...

Blinding Radiance gleamed from the gathering of swords, intense light growing so bright it would’ve been nearly impossible to see through its luminescence. Nearly impossible, for anyone that was not Mitsu that is. His eyes, with their enhanced perceptions and design, had been modified exclusively to allow Mazono the ability to focus tasks usually denoted to his visual cortex to other areas of the visual spectrum; this came in handy over the years for someone used to firing large flashes of electricity from his face and body or crafting arc flashes before his very eyes without blinding himself. Luckily for this, his attacks considered as they had originally been intended to, having no need to cease or hinder his activities even for a second.

A mere second after the flash of light occurred, Mazono caught sight of movement – the figure behind the swords was beginning his ascension, which to the man in white might as well of been happening in slow motion. Shifting his wrists ever so slightly to lead the target, another crack filled the air nearly instantly behind the first set of rounds as the trick-shot feature of his twin Ratifiers came to light. As the man leapt up with powerful force, two rounds would accelerate in the direction of their target, the slight lead of the shots were set to match the momentum of the others movement, to allow his own leap to carry him into the vertbrinium bullets themselves and in turn kill him. There was zero lag time or need for a trigger pull, the weapons design being thanked for this.

A second after his attacks, if the man with blue hair was so inclined, blades were launched at his direction – each potent weapon aimed directly at his person. Iron sand billowed forth to the front of the thirty-foot field of defense creating a wall of moving sand. As the swords came within reach, the synthetic iron sand would take each object into itself as it moved with them, creating the opening required for Mazono to continue watching the outcome of the situation below. The consistent buffeting of iron sand against the swords would cause an effect not unlike the sandbags at a shooting-rang, each weapon finding its momentum slowing before its entire kinetic force would be dispelled and the weapons speed and force diminished to nothingness. Each sword would never make it past the twenty-five-foot mark before being reduced in speed so much that they’d be stuck within the mass of moving black particulates.

Narrow serpent eyes continuing to glow gold as the enhanced perception intensified further. He kept his senses about him, the sounds of twisting leather long since ending. His body was ready to move at a moment’s notice, the kinetic force being stored within his muscles causing his legs to bulge out more than normal. Veins – beneath the undersuit – were bulging outward in a painful way. If Mitsu felt any of it however, his face did not betray him. It seemed the one with blue hair, Dias Blade, stayed true to his last name – the use of swords more a comical thing. Still, Mitsu had to admit he was a bit impressed. Not everyone had the power to throw a building, let alone attempt such thought out maneuvers. Pity, he’d been told to kill him…he’d have loved to get to know this man. Watching as everything would unfold, Mitsu would once more hum with energy build up as his hands – each holding a firearm (as well as the Zeus cannon on each wrist), continued to track the man before him ready to fire at a moment’s notice.

THEME:

Talk about a high stakes Chess game. To those no doubt spectating from their lofty pedestals, the action had long since shifted into top gear with a lot having just happened in such a short time frame. Your average person would have lost track of things following that first volley of attacks, leaving most easily confused. But for these two, they were operating on a whole other level. For them, the world might as well be standing still, both demonstrating a mental focus transcending scientific understanding of the brain, two subjects who clearly stood as testament to the potential of their species. In a battle of this magnitude with opponents ranking at this caliber, all but a single millisecond can make all the difference.

Blink and you'll miss it.

Far removed from his own body, Dias' awareness had long since detached from its physical constraint since the beginning of the fight, before presenting the assassin with his own makeshift calling card. Like a puppet on strings, the warrior manipulated his body with a delicate touch and steady hands to apply surgical precision in every act. Absolute control over the body and the latent energy within, the contraction of each and every single muscle, controlled breathing and heart rate, the blood flow throughout the circulatory system. Of all the blades at his disposable, the sharpest and most daunting weapon he possessed was that of his mind...

But how long would it take the two of them to realize this about one another? Only time could tell. But the Reaper is not known for patience, and so it is that we continue onward down this path of destruction. The sight of which came in the form of bullets apparently as Dias observed the first payload of projectiles traveling through the air in slow motion trailing towards the wall of swords. Was his adversary a sniper? Regardless, the presence of firearms was going to make things tricky for the swordsman. Having realized this, the Narrian didn't hesitate to begin airborne evasive maneuvers shortly thereafter having launched up from the ground. Good thing too, considering his prediction of a continuous barrage seemed spot on.

As his control over the surrounding mass of raw Ether was tied directly to his imaginative thought, Dias could freely harness the metaphysical energy and make use of it so long as he maintained some form of contact. This also meant that he could perform actions independently without having to rely on physical movements such as with manipulating the floating weapons so long as they remained within his sphere. His initial dodge was another illustration of this as he merely ignited small portions of Ether in the space between his feet and the hard surface below, generating a series of controlled bursts directed away from himself so as to literally shoot his body up into the air. Making use of his old mentor's teachings on how to augment one's anatomy with spiritual power, Dias had already taken steps earlier to reinforce his body to withstand the strain and abuse he had a habit of putting himself through.

Another burst of energy was conjured, this time coming from his left side to abruptly alter his trajectory and interrupt the vertical ascension. Muscles locking and manually taking steps to guard against the violent momentum of his quick boost that quite literally threw his body out of the projectiles' pathway.

None of this would serve to impede the Narrian's prior counter, the several blades which were set to be shot allowed to continue without issue just as with the replacement for his discarded zweihanders proceeding to take solid form. The composition of the floating weapons were different this time around, instead of replicating more Adamantite metal which he had come across during his travels. Now they appeared to be forged of the same material used by the Aesir Empire, the mass produced sturdy workhorse of their military forces; Titanium-A32. Capable of resisting heat in excess of 6,500 degrees Fahrenheit and proving three times stronger than stainless steel, yet lighter in weight by comparison, while likewise being resistant to corrosive elements or powerful impacts. Their design had also been tweaked, now sporting two inch thick blades akin to the various BUSTER Sword models fielded by the SOF Crimson Knights.

Despite having already cleared the incoming bullets' line of fire, he calculated their speed and distance while timing his own evasion perfectly so that they would still enter into the distorted space surrounding him. The instant that each round made contact with the ninety foot radius sphere of raw Ether, a portion of the energy around their point of entry would instantly be triggered, turning unstable and causing an abrupt explosion being shunted outward in direct opposition to the two shots. Having been inspired by the concept of the empire's Reactive Armor, Dias purposefully set off an eruption of destructive force intended to render each bullet as little more than a paper weight falling to the ground, assuming they didn't just shatter from the pressure exerted upon them.

At first the meaning behind this action would seem almost pointless, no actual reason to it. At least that was how it would come off to the peanut gallery. But he had a feeling the message would get across to his opponent looking down on him. A firm statement that needed to be made loud and clear.

That all you got?

Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the area around the blue haired man begun to pick up speed at an alarming rate, reacting to the out pour of Air as the element was manifested from his mass of Ether to begin seeding into the environment with an ever rising temperature...

Ruling
  • Our Investigations has determined that Dias Blade has not Godmod nor Retroact post-previous ruling.
  • The same investigation concluded that Decoy has not retroacted.
  • Decoy and Dias' chronology matches in specific instances of descriptions in their post. This is incredibly important later.
  • Decoy had lead of the chronology post-ruling.
  • The building thrown by Dias Blade was previously ruled Schedule 2 which allowed Decoy to neutralized it at his discretion.
  • Dias was given an additional penalty of having his position revealed (post-ruling) until a time he could once again conceal his position.
  • Thunder God Teleport level 1 denotes an unspecified speed increase of Decoy which is above his own base speeds.
  • Thunder God Teleport level 1 is not a teleport, and was never deactivated.
  • Neuron Burst was activated prior to the ruling with Thunder God Teleport LVL 1 and was never deactivated prior or first ruling.
  • Neuron Burst allows Mitsu the ability to register specific information regarding his sight for focus.
  • Neuron Burst does constitute as a FRT.
  • Dias Blade’s profile sheet states that his breed of human can perceive and interact with ether, but makes no mention as to how this is achieved.
  • Dias Blade throughout the entirety of this tournament tied his eye sight to perceiving ether from behind walls or objects, but there is no discernible difference between normal vision and ether vision.
  • The eye color of Dias Blade and perceiving ether with his eyes have no intrinsic properties or modifications and thus defaults as normal eyes and vision.
  • Dias’ attack post-ruling is technically his blinding light which he compared to a solar flare to “daze” his opponent.
  • The “altered perception” of Dias is not entirely clear and thus his physiology is still susceptible to his own blinding attack.
  • Dias Blade "reinforced" his physiological abilities without indication to its meaning or speed at the same caliber as Thunder God Teleport 1.
  • Dias Blade activated his Damaru Chikara prior to his own initial attack before the first ruling.
  • The “detachment” Dias noted in his 1st post harkens to his Mujuushin Kenjutsu.
  • It cannot be established that Mujuushin Kenjutsu allows Dias Blade FRT properties despite being a perception boost.
  • With Dias Blade blinded by his own attack then his only means of vision is his extrasensory or Damaru Chikara, but this extrasensory was given a 200 feet restriction limit.
  • It cannot be established if Mujuushin Kenjutsu is another form of sensory or a psychological utility.
  • Either opponents have not moved much from their prior positions before the ruling. They stand at approximately 627.8' or 627' and 9 19/32"
  • The 8 zweihanders forming a shield between Dias and Mitsu is made of adamantite.
  • Adamantite is a fantasy metal that is not stated in the profile sheet of Dias nor anything comparable and thus will Default.
  • The word Adamantite refers to Adamant which was describe as Adamantine to describe hard gemstones and metals.
  • The array of swords forming a defense in front of Dias Blade does not denote any offset of their position. They were previously in an annular(ring) shape around the operator before forming a wall or shield in front of him. It can be concluded that Dias Blade is still at the center behind these blades.
  • The cape of broadswords is made of a pristine steel and thus will be treated as.
  • Dias Blade makes note of both adversaries staring at one another. Dias will see Mitsu through his own sword shield, and Decoy registers a barrier of zweihanders before Dias.
  • It is written that Decoy shot a glance at his foe before turning his body and firing his weaponry in a single bang.
  • Dias Blade wrote both enemies staring at one another after creating two “arming swords” in both hands, but not before his light attack. This was written in response to Decoy “fixating” on the shield defense.
  • Dias wrote his blinding attack after the period of Decoy’s “fixated stare”, but before his own attack.
  • A full second discrepancy is discovered between the sequences of events between the light attack, Mitsu’s ballistic attacks, and Dias own dodge due to how Dias Blade had worded post. This is the most critical piece of information throughout the ruling.
  • Mitsu's Zesus Cannon is the leading projectile in the trio initiated by Decoy post-ruling attack. Its speed is at 2566.6 Feet per second or 1749.95 MPH.
  • Mitsu's ratifier rounds are traveling at 1906fps or 1299.545 MPH.
  • The rate and speed of these three bullets have been calculated. The leading bullet, the Zesus Cannon, will reach Dias Blade's position in 0.24 of a second. The ratifiers will reach the intended destination at 0.32 of a second which is 0.8th of a second difference.
  • With regards to the Ratifier rounds: They weigh 404.8 grams or 0.89 pounds traveling at roughly 1300MPH is 68325.06 joules.
  • The Zeus Cannon weighs 1.8kg as a 20mm round being 3x heavier than Tungsten. The speed traveling at 1750MPH with the weight of 3.96lbs is 549667.16 joules.
  • The Zeus Cannon's energy field explode upon impact with an archflash.
  • Speed of sound is based on the ambient temperature of the air which is 19° Fahrenheit or -7.2 Celsius
  • The speed of sound of the Vorka City Scenario is 1072.48 Feet per second or 731.1MPH.
  • Dias unleashed “several” swords stated to have enough force to pierce an inch thick of titanium.
  • Dias described these swords to shoot from his sword cape as Longswords which resulted in European longswords with an average weight of 1.4kg or 3lbs.
  • For the swords to generate that much power would need the minimum of 20,000+ joules, but there was no indication of speed. It was determined to equal or greater speeds these swords would have to be traveling at 560 fps or 381.8MPH for 20334.5 joules and up.
  • Dias Blade’s attack will take 1.12 or less to reach Mitsu
  • Sword diameter measured at 1.41 inches to calculate sectional density clocking at: 1.54 PSI. The momentum is determined in slug-feet of 53.56 SFPS (Slug-Feet Per Second) or 1721.3 pounds. This is important for Decoy’s defenses later.
  • The cape-Swords would launch in response to Decoy’s attack. This is extremely critical during the verdict.
  • Decoy’s Thunderdome is describe to take up to a “bombardment” of 32,000 joules.
  • The iron-Sand forming around Decoy has no specified limits on what thresholds it can withstand
  • The iron-Sand has been stated to reach the Thunder-Dome’s exterior limit of 30’ feet as a wall in response to Dias Blade’s swords

Verdict

There is a critical and detrimental piece of information in the post of Dias Blade that suggest a valid interception and interruption may have taken place. A major chronological discrepancy was discovered amidst proper examination of both Decoy’s post and Dias Blade following the March 28th ruling. The discovery above will serve to anchor the analysis by the judges on the possibilities both parties will endure and the impending judgement therein. We’ll first go over the functional details of the character’s abilities before tackling the chronology proper.

The first dilemma to solve would be Dias Blade’s blinding light. We consider this to be the easiest to solve for. Decoy and Dias have profile sheets and actions in character that remain wholly consistent and yet inconsistent in a few areas. Their eye-sight is collectively in question and from here on ruled that both parties have no provisions for mitigating this attack. We’ll go over exactly why Neuron Burst, Mujuushin Kenjutsu, Damaru Chikara, and Dias’ ether perception fails either competitor.

Neuron BurstProfile It’s possible for Mitsu’ physiology to readily reject and receive information. It allows the operator to also perceive, register, and understand expedient information and stimulation. It doesn’t readily describe how light sources interact with Mitsu’ vision with exception to his visual cortex which suggest mental cognition to visual stimuli can be altered for need, though doesn’t disqualify retinal damage from blinding light sources. It may secure Mitsu possibly from his own light sources, but not ocular damage pertaining to cone cells and how they receive light which is necessary on how optical reception works. Decoy may have meant to physiologically alter his bodily perception alongside his mental capabilities, but his profile sheet doesn’t include his anatomical constitution and abrasion to light. The flash of light of Dias is incredibly high and instant (speed of light) that any action taken to alleviate after could be considered a retroaction and thus a violation. He’d submit to the blinding light of Dias Blade though possibly lessened by his own local light sources from his thunder-dome and thunder God Teleport (though unlikely).

Mujuushin KenjutsuProfile Dias Blade possess the ability to view the battle field from an undisclosed location via remotely, but it cannot be determined if this was literal. The ability entails “Taking the battle between two opponents, separating yourself from the act itself and viewing the field from an outside perspective.” However; when we examined the entirety of Mujuushin upon request, it only describes mental and cognitive associations and not a literal remote viewing of the fight unlike Damaru Chikara. This ability only describes the act of disassociation of one’s own voluntary actions on a mental simulation of events for the function of calculation and evaluation of the operator’s own meta-cognition and actions, but doesn’t describe any extrasensory abilities outside of purely cerebral ones and thus does not qualify as a sensory or extrasensory boost.

Damaru ChikaraProfile The user wrote how this ability, though mental, enables its operator to use their “internal energies” as a versatile tool but with it an “aura” that extends beyond a person’s physical body to sense the intent of others. This clause of the application qualifies as an extrasensory since it describes a literal remote and outer-body force that allows a person to view or “sense” beyond Dias’ physical body. He elaborates on it being “an extra pair of eyes” to determine acute information of Dias’ immediate surroundings and “those within it,” which permits actual tangible stimulation. The March 28th ruling inhibited Damaru’s coverage to 200’. That is 100’ more than any other competitor in the tournament due to an oversight during character registration and screening; however, the sentence “those within it” coupled with the regulation means all acute sensory information from this field is limited to 200’ and not beyond as the word “within” denotes a specific reach, parameter, or enclosure this power allows. Dias Blade’s sight isn’t associated with Damaru Chikara and thus remains unaffected by the blinding attack.

Ether sight Dias Blade was granted allowance on perceiving ether, but his profile sheet doesn’t mention how this is achieved. In the TZDL2017 entry of Dias Blade, it states; “Ether Burn (TZDL Version)- An innate ability all Azure Children are born with. It is the power to perceive the innate energy known as Ether and interact with it in various ways through physical contact."1

There is no discernible mention on Dias’ ability to perceive ether; although, his eyesight has often been tied this phenomenon repeatedly as in fact directly mentioned his Semi Final Match with Xavier Bloodbain, “His cursed eyes depicting the Nihilus Paradox transcended the material realm, the crimson gaze easily recognizing the outline of what appeared to be a Human standing on the opposite side. Must be the real Final Boss.”2

This excerpt confirms that no other technique, ability, or power is associated with the perception of ether other than Dias’ eyes. Dias’ eyes have no mention in his profile sheet and thus it will naturally default. Ether can be perceived from “the surroundings” as tied in with reality, but there’s no separation between Dias’ natural eyesight and some other alternative view of reality. Dias’ sight, and transitively ether perception, are subject to any instant his vision becomes impaired.

The light attack Dias initiated in his reply to Decoy will result in both player’s characters being visually impaired. Dias admittingly wrote that he’d succumb to his own disruptive action had not been shielded by his “altered perception” of the world, but no mention of how this works or why could be found in his profile sheet or in any thread for TZDL2017 (importantly the former). Since Dias was standing close to his own blinding attack and relied on an unspecified function he attempted to call that does not exist then it means that without this altered perception he’ll be sightless. Damaru Chikara does not pertain to sight in the manner which Dias alluded to (eye contact and visually looking at his opponent) nor is it capable of reaching that far (200’ limit), and Mujuushin Kenjutsu likewise doesn’t mention an different levels of visual perception; thus, normal eye sight behavior is inherited(default) where if acuity is connected to see supernatural forces likewise with one’s environment then it, too, will be beholden by limitations of the eyes; ergo, Dias Blade being blind means he is likewise blinded from Ether.

The assumption that Mitsu could withstand the light flash of Dias Blade is called into question. We’ll have to assume first that in order for Mitsu to weather his adversary’s blinding light he’d have to first be hit with the aforementioned light at the levels it operates on. Let’s assume Mitsu can use Neuron Burst as an adequate defense and that he could potentially not be impaired. First a flash of light moves exactly at the speed of light at 671000000MPH or 984133333.333 feet per second. It would not be permissible for Mitsu to first make visual contact with that of “a solar flare” by being first “hit” by its then reduce the damage dealt only after. Why? The implied effect traveling at that speed is instantaneous and for Mitsu to ease or chain his activation of Neuron Burst he’ll first be hit by the attack in question. It is established that Mitsu does have biological control of his visual cortex, but the immediate intake of the light-source suggested no telegraphy was present for a proactive protection. He’ll have to be hit first (confirmed in his post) to then decrease its effects already applied. Even if he could reduce or be temporarily blind the attack must connect and therein its effect is triggered.

It was discussed and addressed earlier in the tournament of Dias Blade capacity to view opponents through inanimate objects. The 2017 Semi Final fight ruled that Dias Blade could technically see his opponents behind obstacles as “ether” is predicated on being environmental; though, the opponent is not subject to any of the aforementioned properties the proponent describes. It was ruled that because Xavier exuded his own energy that he will not be perceptible to Dias from behind any impediment 3. There is no reason to suggest that Mitsu was remotely discernible or adequately observable for more of the same reason. Mitsu generates a field (Thunderdome) and has expanded it earlier in this match to its maximum coverage, and activated Thunder God Teleport Level 1 that draws an outline around the operator. Dias Blade is behind a wall of swords when examining his opponent and making specific notes of his opponent’s actions, but this is impossible on the predication that Mitsu’s own electrical power is exempt from Ether. The electrical field emitted from Mitsu Mazono passed 30’ with an identical discharge around a bodily profile with iron-sand floating about (moved by electromagnetic emission), including the 627’ distance, will conceal specific identifiers Dias could discern; in other words, Mitsu Mazono will be properly obscured by his own energy defenses reminiscent to Xavier Bloodbayne and thus Dias will not see the target. One could make the supposition that these barriers offer the same concealment his own sword provides, and this would allow Dias to visually make out a silhouette; but, this premise is flawed for if he could see passed his opponent’s powers (being an obstruction) then his opponent is equally a solid obstruction and thus invisible from behind his own sword. Ether sight does not call for any inherited exceptions of living or not living materials, and that bypassing inanimate objects also implies animate objects could similarly be transparent.

Chronology

The critical discrepancy between Decoy’s April 9th and Dias Blade’s April 24th 2018 can and will determine the entire outcome of this fight. TZDL2017’s March 28th ruling set the precedent for lead of the chronology in Decoy’s favor because his turn was up next after the ruling. The March 28th ruling describes the following penalties and actions permitted:
  • Dias Blade was issued an infraction and penalty of a Schedule 2 attack (the building throw).
  • Dias Blade was issued a infraction and penalty on now appearing in his allotted starting location for the finals of the tournament.
  • Dias Blade was penalized from further use of flavor text pertaining to powers he does not have in his profile sheet (issued originally on December 8th, 2017 in the Semi Finals match vs Xavier).
  • A limitation on Damaru Chikara was issued giving it 200’ coverage (100’ more than any other competitor)

The former 3 items in the March 8th ruling was addressed by the following penalties.
  • The schedule 2 attack is to be dispatched by Decoy at his discretion (the building throw).
  • Dias Blade’s inability to appear where explicitly instructed cited a forced “reveal” of his location until a time he could conceal his position again within reason.
  • The use of “spirits” and likewise beyond his profile sheet for leverage has been removed from Dias’ arsenal.

The chronology is contingent on the former since it will create the scenario that this discrepancy between players have occurred. Decoy was permitted to address his opponent’s schedule 2 within the allowed parameters of TZDL (Dodge, Block, Attack, Parry, and etcetera). He opted to interrupt a previous action he committed to for destruction of his opponent’s attack. He had described the building being demolished by an expulsion of energy he previously stored, and then turned his attention to the location of his opponent to noticed the sword barrier Dias erected prior. Mitsu will briefly observe and “fixate” on the sword arrangement before attack with both ratifiers and Zeus Cannon, but only after his entire body turned to address what he initially saw; to paraphrase, Mitsu had mitigated the building, looked at the direction it originated, noticed the swords, turned to face his opponent with weapons “bared,” inspected them, then fired. This late in the tournament there is no provisions for priority of first attack by Player 1 and thus permissible that Player 2 could interrupt his opponent’s attack (Priority is only issued on the very first post of Player1 since they have first attack).

Dias Blade will reply with similar recounting of the aforesaid events above whether or not it was intentional. Precise or distinctive detail created by Decoy’s post after the ruling will similarly be addressed and acknowledged in Dias Blade’s post concurrent of his own actions. Blade will accept the debris falling from the building’s wreckage upon contact with Mitsu’ defense, Mitsu’s stare, and importantly a particular acknowledged of Mitsu’s examination with full intent and attention to the swords. Dias, using a sword before him he believed Mitsu had been “so fixated on,” will preemptively initiate a continuous flash attack to “daze” his opponent. He’d write that a second will expire between the lightshow and some undetermined or idle action before “already moving” where he was stationary prior to evade Mitsu’ railguns. The cape of swords created prior to the March 28th ruling will break formation and launch at Mitsu in retaliation to the attack Mitsu unleashed.

Let’s first establish a side by side comparison between events as Dias Blade corroborated with Decoy’s record of instances told by the latter. It’s important to understand that in order for any interception to occur that a timeline of events takes place

Decoy speaks about the building being destroy

“As the building crashed into the solid hemisphere of the Iron-Sand enriched dome of defense, a tear would form in the shell and the power that had been building within would release outward in an explosion of light and power forcefully expelled by such a strange attack that disintegrated the once solid structure into small pebbles that were swiftly converted into Iron-Sand by the self-propagating granules.” ~ Decoy,

Dias Blade acknowledges destruction

“Holy crap, the entire warehouse that had just been catapulted was seemingly disintegrated outright” ~ Dias Blade

Decoy narrated debris hitting the floor beneath him

“Remaining chunks of stone and brick would fall upon the street below – harmlessly clicking and clacking as they made contact with the concrete surface below.” ~ Decoy

Dias Blade acknowledges the debris hitting the floor in the same first sentence of paragraph 1.

“Holy crap, the entire warehouse that had just been catapulted was seemingly disintegrated outright with chunks and various debris crashing down into the street below.” ~ Dias Blade

The excepts above converges on a singular established chain of events first dictated by Decoy as of April 9th 2018 and corrivated by Dias Blade on April 24th 2018. The entirety of both players progress through each specific instance first dictated by Decoy as Dias substantiates these moments in his own timeline. Let’s continue:

Decoy looks at the direction of his assailant

“Standing in the center, more irritated at being interrupted than anything, Mazono shot a glance around his immediate vicinity – noting the lack of a building that had once been to the south of his position and in its place…a strange defensive formation of swords encasing a figure yet unseen.

You must be him.”
~ Decoy

Dias Blade acknowledges what could be the initial glance while in the process or a committed action

“Of course, he wouldn't simply wait for his adversary to respond. More of the surrounding energy from his field gathered into the palm of each hand, taking hold as a pair of arming swords manifested in his grip. Finally they were able to get a good look at one another, with Serpent Eyes getting a gander of the large blades acting as a makeshift shield wall” ~ Dias Blade

Dias notes he would not stand around for an action to be resolve and opted to hustle an offense of his own, but the full intention of his proaction only denotes the creation and materialization of more swords. The more perplexing acknowledgement of Decoy’s actions is in this line:

“Finally they were able to get a good look at one another” ~ Dias Blade

It is unknown if he had meant that they finally observed one another from Mitsu’ initial glance or when he spun to examine him where both could face each other. Decoy wrote in his post after his glance that:

“The words echoed through his mind, as Mitsu turned his body to regard the strange scene. On instinct, his right and left arms were brought to bear as his enhanced perception of the world around him caused time to seemingly slow down.” ~ Decoy

Dias Blade doesn’t state at which point they finally faced so at any two points may be correct, but that’s until Dias Blade acknowledges a crucial instance of Decoy’s post which he had allowed to resolve without contention

Decoy turned to face his opponent to examine what he sees

“His eyes would narrow in as the serpent like gaze examined the sight before him with an informed eye. A protective wall of blades? Swords dug into the ground in defiance? Regardless of the what and the why, the Lightning Emperor had deemed the sight unusual and as such responded to it as he would anything he didn’t understand. He attacked it. Just like he had the strange cloud of miasma he’d run into in Egypt.” ~ Decoy

This action was taken after he had turned around. His body now facing Dias direction where both guns are brought to and then examined or “fixated” on the formation of swords before Dias. The word “fixated” is often repeated because that word is used by Dias Blade to acknowledge this period of time to which Mitsu is analyzing the situation.

“A smirk crossed the Narrian's face in that moment as before the man could even let loose the barrage, like flicking a switch inside Dias' head, the greatswords which Mitsu had been so fixated on without warning lit up with a burst of blinding radiance.” ~ Dias Blade

Here is the most incriminating evidence of a discrepancy in the chronology. Dias would smirk in one moment before his opponent could attack, but after his opponent was fixated on the swords. It’s important to note when Mitsu becomes fixated on these swords, for they determine the chronology in which the series of attacks are not only initiated, resolved, and interrupted. Let’s remove the comma splice for an exact read of what Dias Blade wrote acknowledging his opponent’s action:

“A smirk crossed the Narrian's face in that moment as before the man could even let loose the barrage, the greatswords which Mitsu had been so fixated on without warning lit up with a burst of blinding radiance” ~ Dias Blade

There’s a series of questions that need to be addressed in this statement. The first will be: at what point did Mitsu become “fixated” with Dias Blade swords? It was not on the initial glance following Mitsu’s bodily turn. Mitsu would only note the Sword-wall before him. Let’s reexamine Decoy’s observation of the swords:

“Standing in the center, more irritated at being interrupted than anything, Mazono shot a glance around his immediate vicinity – noting the lack of a building that had once been to the south of his position and in its place…a strange defensive formation of swords encasing a figure yet unseen.

Just like he had the strange cloud of miasma he’d run into in Egypt.”
~ Decoy

The first paragraph narrates Mitsu Mazono being flustered over being interrupted and took a glance at the direction the building Dias unleashed came from. He noted the swords arranged in a fixed way, but the second paragraph states his entire body focusing on that trajectory. He’s bring the guns to “bear” and then started to study, examine, analyze, or “fixate” on those blades and what they meant. This is incredibly important for if Dias wanted to intercept his opponent before he had unleashed his “barrage” he would NOT had allowed his opponent to move. I’ll stress this by quoting Dias Blade again:

“before the man could even let loose the barrage, the greatswords which Mitsu had been so fixated on without warning lit up with a burst” ~ Dias Blade

Notice that Dias mentions that the activation of his blinding attack comes before Mitsu could initiate his railgun attack, but not until AFTER Mitsu was “fixated” on the swords before him. The fixated clause is past-tense meaning he was already in the process of being fixated on them, and the only time in which Mitsu Mazono was fixated on “these swords” was after he had turned his bodily attention onto Dias’ location. This means at no point were the previous actions of Dias Blade before Decoy’s chronology, for every instance Decoy dictated Dias Blade would acknowledge with a response accordingly. The building destruction? Dias had not moved before but only mentions he wouldn’t wait. Decoy looking at Dias Blades sword? Dias Blade acknowledged with “they finally got a good look at each other,” and Decoy’s own bodily movements is not inferring interruption for if Mitsu must fixate on the swords first then he would have to turn around and aim his weapons upon Dias’ position. Dias Blade admits it in this very line;

“the greatswords which Mitsu had been so fixated on without warning lit up with a burst” ~ Dias Blade

“as Mitsu turned his body to regard the strange scene. On instinct, his right and left arms were brought to bear as his enhanced perception of the world around him caused time to seemingly slow down. His eyes would narrow in as the serpent like gaze examined the sight before him with an informed eye. A protective wall of blades? Swords dug into the ground in defiance? Regardless of the what and the why, the Lightning Emperor had deemed the sight unusual” ~ Decoy

At no point was Dias ahead of Mitsu Mazono in chronology with exception to the blinding light attack, for in his very words:

“before the man could even let loose the barrage” ~ Dias Blade

This means at a point between Mitsu observing the swords with “fixation” and his attack that Dias would emit a lightshow capable of “dazing” his opponent; however, a clue is buried in the prose of Dias Blade regarding the intent of his opponent’s observation. It’s in contention currently that Dias Blade should be allowed to see his opponent as officialized by his TZDL2017 match with Xavier Bloodbayne regarding the precedent of Dias seeing through objects. It is cited that Xavier Bloodbayne released his Dread Energy in the arena, which is sovereign of Ether’s stated property of being environmentally present and thus concealed its user in a shroud or cloud of his energy.4

Mitsu Mazono is likewise inundating his vicinity with his own electricity or energy from his own character. Ether will and does not exist on either character since the power is predicated on the notion that Ether is in the environment or those of “magical” affinity; however, Ether is not a universal energy nor are other characters beholden by its law its own established canon and Mitsu’s electrical generation is a product of his own bioelectromotive forces. The Thunder-Dome of Mitsu Mazono surrounds its user in an “undulating field” of energy that blankets the user’s Thunder God Teleport Level 1 profiled onto his body. The electromagnetic phenomenon surrounding Mitsu is responsible for the iron-sand grains. These facets make up an argument that in the direct area where Mitsu inhabits appears to be a blotched-out area where Ether is absent, and as stated previously if his eyes could see through all barriers then technically Mitsu would be as translucent as his electric field. Dias cannot actively see through his own swords otherwise and so if Mitsu is not visually discernable neither is the telegraphy Dias read.

Now let’s retread and assume that Dias CAN see make out Mitsu. It is stated in his semi-final match with Xavier Bloodbayne that he could only make out an outline or profile of an individual. Dias Blade in admission explained how his perception of Ether works on objects he otherwise shouldn’t see through;

“His cursed eyes depicting the Nihilus Paradox transcended the material realm, the crimson gaze easily recognizing the outline of what appeared to be a Human standing on the opposite side” Dias Blade, TZDL2017 Semi Finals vs Xavier Bloodbayne.

We’ll work on the premise that he is not visually impaired, or a previous ruling taking precedence and address the issue as is. The physical profile of a person or outline would not allow Dias to differentiate vital or detailed information over the great distance of 627 feet at a 394’ incline. His profile sheet does not state any telescope vision though he could possibly still make out his adversary. The hindrance is caused not by just their distance but his own arrangement of swords walling off the rest of his vision. Mitsu Mazono will have no recognizable or perceptible features as a silhouette to the level of precision necessary to make out facial features of any kind. The sundry limitations defaulted to Dias’ profile sheet would not allow him to acquiesce pertinent information such as what he is looking at, what he is aiming at, how intently is he staring, or if he is staring at all.

There is no possible way for Dias to make that accurate assertion based on the lack of telegraphy provided in his own previous matches, his profile sheet, or the rulings. The extrasensory of Damaru Chikara is limited to 200’ and his Muushin Kenjutsu only describes mental disassociation. How does Dias Blade know about Mitsu’s fixation? The character does not, but the author does. This part was written not in a third person perspective but from the player itself. It is a literary device or prose Dias Blade used to acknowledge the timing and activation of each subsequent move his opponent is doing and arranging them in accordance to the chronology. That means the author, in place of the character, acknowledges the events which led to Mitsu’s written fixation such as his body moving and aimed at him. He would then do his attack “before” his opponents, but only after everything else Decoy had initiated resolves. The attempt of interception only lies in the blinding light. This means from the entirety of the events leading up to this point that Dias Blade was, or possibly, could not have written from his character’s perspective. These acknowledgements and confirmations narrated by Decoy was, in fact, established by its author Dias Blade.

Now for the most perilous event of the timeline in conjunction with Dias Blade following the events of Decoy up until the lightshow pertains to his evasion. We’ll work on the premise that Dias Blade is unaffected by his own light attack. Let’s go over the attack of Decoy after his “fixation” period and his opponent’s reply to it:

Decoy opens fire just briefly after his token monologuing

“With the twin Ratifiers and Zeus cannon angled to aim at the interlinked swords standing where a building had only just been, Mazono’s ever present grin widened as a loud CRACK echoed through the empty streets. From the one sound three rounds soared towards their target.” ~ Decoy

Dias Blade attempts to maneuver after his attack which is set before Decoy’s attack but after his?

“Meanwhile, a mere second after triggering the obnoxious light show, Dias had already moved, launching himself skyward with the ground beneath where he once stood having cracked” ~ Dias Blade

There’s a fatal flaw in this sentence regarding the activation and timing of his dodge. Let’s work on the premise that the “light-show” came before the attack which Mitsu was primed up for. Dias Blade, before evading, was stationary during the entirety of his own actions prior to the light attack. There was no point he had mentioned moving prior to said lightshow, and it is established this lightshow comes before Decoy’s attack. The major issue is the literal and yet figurative use of words where Dias attempts to chronologize a specific duration of time in between actions. We’ll remove the comma-splice and non-essential information from his own evasion:

“Meanwhile, Dias had already moved” ~ Dias Blade

Removing the comma-splice of the connotated clause reveals a syntax error in Dias’ ability to activate an evasion. He could not have already been in the process of moving if the previous paragraph did not mention, at any point, any relocation for each instance of Mitsu’s actions he presumably read. Dias Blade had wrote being in a fixed or stationary position prior to this entry because he had failed to specify at which point he moved during Decoy’s own actions if the lightshow came before the barrage, but after the fixation. Dias’ only action prior was grinning at a time during their stare-down or manifesting more swords:

“More of the surrounding energy from his field gathered into the palm of each hand, taking hold as a pair of arming swords manifested in his grip” ~ Dias Blade

“Finally they were able to get a good look at one another, with Serpent Eyes getting a gander of the large blades acting as a makeshift shield wall. A smirk crossed the Narrian's face in that moment as before the man could even let loose the barrage, like flicking a switch inside Dias' head, the greatswords which Mitsu had been so fixated on without warning lit up with a burst of blinding radiance” ~ Dias Blade

This is then cemented by this quote:

“By igniting small directed bursts of burned Ether, the swordsman evacuated the scene just in time to avoid getting caught up in the hailstorm of bullets which tore through the blades only to find nothing on the other side” ~ Dias Blade

Dias cannot move already being committed to an action from a previous paragraph. He had stated here he’d evade “just in time” to describe at some point his opponent missing, but the barrage came after the lightshow and no time before as Dias couldn’t have already moved from an area he was stationed in. For the sake of clarity: Dias would have to already move upon activation of the lightshow as a chain and not before, which would require him to move at some upper speed near light to be ahead of it. This would constitute as a teleportation and violate the Teleportation Regulation Ruling regarding attacking and teleporting in the same turn. The first condition has been met regarding attacks because the lightshow aims to hurt his opponent in some form or praised in the form of an attack; however, this isn’t entirely what Dias wrote as the comma-splice is removed and thus omitted a significant piece of evidence. So if Dias did not move before his lightshow then when? Dias inadvertently moved a second after.

“Meanwhile, a mere second after triggering the obnoxious light show, Dias had already moved” ~ Dias Blade

The comma-splice serves as the timeframe for when Dias admitted having evaded. He would move a second after by using the words “after” and “triggering” because Dias cannot already move if he was still. This second was added as a distinct phase of time which the next flow of events occur which means after igniting his light attack Dias would remain paused for a second until after he’d begin moving. The prose cannot be taken figuratively because the comma-splice denotes a time in when a thing occurs, and the previous paragraph states his stationary position having acknowledged all the moves Mitsu accomplished before the barrage. This means Dias was not only stationary throughout the entire ordeal but remained stationary AFTER the lightshow for an entire second or less. What’s the problem? The lightshow comes before the “barrage” but after the fixation phase of Decoy’s chronology. That means once the light attack is activated then Mitsu attack is fired and no time in between.. or rather, no time in between on Decoy’s behalf. Dias placed an entire second of relief between actions that Decoy had not given, because Dias allowed Decoy to resolve those actions until a very specific point: the barrage itself.

So what? The problem occurs when an attack as fast as the Zeus Cannon and the subsequent Ratifiers are discharged all at once. Mitsu would fire off 3 attacks simultaneously to appear as a single sound, but the speed of sound is dependent on temperature possibly correlating with pressure. It’s 19 degrees Fahrenheit in Vorka City meaning sound only travels at 1072.48 Feet per second or 731.1MPH. The single bang Decoy described would reach Dias Blade at approximately 0.58th of a second, but the Zeus Cannon travels at 2566.6 Feet per second or 1749.95 MPH. That’s a 1494.12 fps or a 1019MPH difference with the Zeus Cannon’s estimated time of impact at .024 seconds. That’s a 0.34th second discrepancy between hearing the shot and contact since the bullet would reach Dias before he could hear it. The elapse of a single or “mere” second Dias describe cuts his chances of evading significantly because after lightshow, in which the barrage comes next, Dias will need less than .24th of a second to move. He cannot. He had wrote himself moving after a second resolved which means he cannot already relocate if Mitsu’s bullet comes during the 1 second duration (0.24th of a whole second).

How can this be possible? Dias was ahead and pushed his time a second? Absolutely incorrect. The time Dias specified for his evasion to occur is set a second after because, as previously established, he couldn’t have already moved before the lightshow. He did not write ‘during’ for he wrote in a comma-splice that a mere second after would resolve – THEN he would have already moved. The literary intention of writing prose mistimed Dias’ ability to chain his own evasion with either his attack or his opponent since the lightshow only comes before Decoy’s attack. That means these two attacks, though maybe subsequent, represents a trade-off on behalf of Dias than a correct interception. Since Dias allowed his opponent’s actions to continue up to the point of the attack and wrote that a second had passed before or during his move then an entire second continues as this does not interrupt Decoy’s events (being primed to shoot right after).

It cannot be argued whether or not Decoy failed to specify when he attacked because the chronology he presented was not just propositioned by him(the state of suspension between turns in the chronological order) but established, acknowledged, and confirmed by Dias Blade when he concurrently committed actions himself WHILE his opponent was permitted to do the things he proposed. That means Dias did not write himself ahead of his opponent and the one second admission puts himself behind because the evasion comes before a second resolve. This means a second during when Dias was allowed to move Mitsu had open fire (after the lightshow) hitting the center of the swords and Dias within a 0.24 window of a second with 2 other rounds at the 0.32th mark of a whole second before the 0.58th mark in which Dias could hear it. Let’s assume some delay between the light attack and Mitsu’ attack happens. Even if the attack was unleashed at roughly .70th of a second would give the Zeus Canon a 0.05th of a second to hit Dias Blade. Dias could not take ample opportunity to move before his opponent because he allowed him to finish the moves necessary to facility an attack. The prose in “he already moved” possibly denotes a time to which between 0 and 1 second he moved, but the qualifier of “after a mere” indicates that only a time before the second fully expires he began to move and no time before. He would still not have the time necessary to evade.

We also determined that the lightshow Dias unleashed will blind him together with his opponent. This is coupled with Dias inability to see Mitsu Mazono from behind his own sword giving him no visual indication of when he fired, because the muzzle of either guns is far within the 30-foot Thunderdome field before the dust-cloud of iron sand. The only telegraphy Dias at his arsenal is his hearing, but sound, assuming not in a vacuum for such an open space, wouldn’t reach Dias until after the bullets do. The blinding light comparable to a Solar Flare being right in front of its own operator subjects Dias to not only blindness or his daze but eliminates the possibility of seeing this attack coming. He’d have no indication thereafter if Mitsu committed to his attack presumably if he could have even known one was coming (previously ruling setting a precedent concluding he cannot see his opponent through their own energy field) and thus calls into question the retaliatory action.

“In response, just as Mitsu opened fire, several of the floating swords acting as a fancy cape for the warrior broke off from formation to take aim at the legendary assassin.” ~ Dias Blade

This is a chain attempt of an activation between two actions and one needing another and a specific condition to be met. “In response,” means that Dias is chaining the activation of his attack off the condition his opponent attacked (which he did); albeit, Dias will have no way of knowing an attack is imminent for many factors: Semi Final ruling, Dias Blade wouldn’t be able to see Mitsu Mazono from his own sword; no ruling applied, how would Dias see the muzzle from his opponent’s attack; sound is slower, Blade would not be able to register the threat until after it has hit; blinding light, the attack comes after he is blinded and thus unable to make that distinction; mistiming, he would have to attack during the time he was idle to qualify for this exchange. It’s probable that Dais could potentially exchange attacks during the interim between stationary and evasion if he was able to detect the attack coming. Damaru Chikara only has a 200’ limitation if we’re to go off the premise of Dias being blinded by his own attack let-alone unable to see it from another ruling.

Assuming that Damaru Chikara allows him to perceive the attack coming would imply that 1 out of the 3 attacks are within 200’ giving him 0.11th of a second. It’s described that the swords first must break off formation before the ether in the blade ignited and exploded their way to Decoy. A minor issue involves ether being burnt in these swords without physical contact (this doesn’t include the burnt ether field) but the time this process to take is uncertain. The only major issue is whether Dias could retaliate at all. Dias Blade has previously been ruled to not only see people within their energy fields but is blinded presents a situation where retaliatory action is not possible.

Would the light-attack interrupt either character Presumably not and if so both cannot properly attack after. Dias Blade had not moved, and Decoy committed to his attack where a second was elapsing. The dazing effect would immediately affect them both with Dias at its epicenter being its source of origin; however, Dias had written the evasion will be the only impediment proposed to mitigate the bullets since he evaded in the same turn of his light with Decoy corroborating on it. That means for one to be interrupted by a single source of action then both would have adequately been reshuffled by the light. Mitsu Mazono actively deals with his light sources on a regular basis and Neuron Burst only addresses the cognitive process of information given to the mind. It is possible he’d remain unaffected enough for his attack to carry off, and Dias Blade knew his own light attack was coming so even if his sight was not prepared – he would be. The blinding light appeared immediately after Mitsu’s attention was drawn on the swords and his guns aimed so the only interruptible action is the trigger pull of his weapons.

Swords made of Adamantite There is no discernible properties in Adamantite in both Dias Blade’s profile sheet nor any comparison we could conclude. Dias only described them as being “imposing” which doesn’t qualify as an adequate description of toughness; however, the ammunition Mitsu Mazono’s weaponry utilizes are of Vertbrinium/Vertbranium with properties indicating their durability:

“VERTBRINIUM shares properties reminiscent to that of tungsten for high tensile strength, high melting point, and strength but can be manufactured and easily work with despite its intensity though noticeably heavier. VERTBRINIUM, much akin to Tungsten, can be alloyed along with other metals and polymers augment its toughness. It may even even rival diamond under certain natural frequencies; however, though it is cheaper to fabricate VERTBRINIUM it is an impractical alloy in terms of weight which surpasses even Tungsten nearly 3 fold which makes it ideal for impact rounds against metaphysical targets provided they are not tipped deliberately for anti-material purposes.” ~ Ratifier Weapon - Decoy’s Mitsu Mazono Profile sheet, TZDL02017

Essentially a metal comparable to Tungsten with nearly 3 times its weight at 1750MPH against the sword wall of Dias Blade would result in a disastrous display. The Zeus Cannon describes as followed:

“Mounting overtop Mitsu's Forearm, the Zeus Cannon is a wrist mounted Railcannon that utilizes a specifically made Vertbrinium Round (Comprable in Design to potentially a 20mm Round or more) that - when fired - is coated in an electrical field similar in make to Mazono's Thunder Dome. Upon exiting the barrel, the field expands outward 4 feet in a spherical design - incasing the round in a replication of the bio-electric field. This generated field acts in almost all capacities in the same way as Mazono's Thunder Dome.” ~ Zeus Cannon, Mitsu Mazono Profile sheet, TZDL2017.

Upon contact

“Due to this, Biological Lifeforms caught within the four foot radius are normally exposed to an intense explosion of electrical arcs which - due to the amperage of the field - could either paralyze or electrocute - prior to the impact of the round. In addition, the electrical field coating the round - upon impact with a target - will release the field into the impacted zone with an additional arc flash explosion.” ~ Zeus Cannon, Mitsu Mazono Profile sheet, TZDL2017

There’s a point of contention that an energy field surrounds Dias Blade, but this field remained idle until the 4th post of Dias Blade . The burned ether field was only ever used to aid Dias Blade into creating objects and its defensive capabilities remain wholly absent; however, the Zeus Cannon is capable of piercing akin to the ruling between Drifting Pollen and Decoy’s TZDL2017 Quarter Final bout due to it containing its own auto-defense field:

“the Zeus Cannon is a wrist mounted Railcannon that utilizes a specifically made Vertbrinium Round (Comprable in Design to potentially a 20mm Round or more) that - when fired - is coated in an electrical field similar in make to Mazono's Thunder Dome. Upon exiting the barrel, the field expands outward 4 feet in a spherical design - incasing the round in a replication of the bio-electric field. This generated field acts in almost all capacities in the same way as Mazono's Thunder Dome.

In addition to being almost identical to Mazono's Thunder Dome, the Field also acts as a counter-offense towards energy based defenses. This is caused due to the field striking outward before the projectile, causing a backlash of energy so to speak to potentially open a path for the Round to pass through unabated.

Due to this, Biological Lifeforms caught within the four foot radius are normally exposed to an intense explosion of electrical arcs which - due to the amperage of the field - could either paralyze or electrocute - prior to the impact of the round. In addition, the electrical field coating the round - upon impact with a target - will release the field into the impacted zone with an additional arc flash explosion.”

Let’s assume the ether field does nothing but is still a tangible field of energy: The auto-defense property of Mitsu’s Zeus Cannon rounds will peal off as intended for collision onto the swords and therein Dias Blade after obliterating the sword; however, without ether being tangible then the Zeus Cannon rounds would explode an arch-flash onto the broken pieces of adamantite but shattering the blade. Dias Blade’s physical defenses are deemed insufficient to mitigate Mitsu’s electromagnetic ballistic attacks as both scenarios conclude that the sword in front would shrapnel into dangerous pieces of debris. The Ratifier rounds will not find any interruption or hindrance if the lead attack (Zeus Cannon) perforated Dias’ cover (the resounding shrapnel presenting its own hazards moving as a kinetically transferred speed). We could deduce that even if Dias’ sword could withstand all 3 bullets that such an alarming transference of force would knock back into Dias Blade who is standing in front of it, and is eligible for an interruption; albeit, this isn’t a possible determination since it’s ruled Adamantite has no intrinsic properties and thus defaults. The formation of swords nearby, if physically touching, would explode from the immediate destruction of its center piece. Their deformation will not be akin to an explosion of confetti like the target sword, but kinetic transference will discombobulate their arrangement and caused them to chip, break, or launch in directions away from Dias’ Sword (presenting a possible hazard). They have no assigned weight either being made of Adamanitite and thus we’re left with unspecified variables.

Where is Decoy hitting? It’s described in his post he’s aiming for the center of mass of the swords. The excerpt explains:

“The weaponry of the man in white would threaten to cause the shell of swords to shatter in response to the impact and would continue, if successful in breaking the formation, into the center where they would attempt to hit whatever could be within the center of its mass.” ~ Decoy

Dias does not describe at any point being in any other position but center of his swords. The formation of swords made of Adamantite first surrounded Dias Blade in an annular formation with him at its center:

“At the same moment, his arsenal of eight, seven foot long zweihanders were drawn forth, the ether around him forged together to craft the imposing adamantite weapons with their fourteen inch broadsides doubling as both sword and shield. They remained hovering just above the cold, dusty surface of the floor beneath them ten feet out from where Dias stood to form a protective ring around their master.” ~ Dias Blade

Formation of the wall

“With the air beginning to swirl about his figure, the protective ring of floating zweihanders closed in to act as a makeshift wall while careful not to catch the wires.” Dias Blade

The sword’s center formation and focus has been Dias Blade and when forming a shield-wall this centralization of defense didn’t change or offset. Dias would be center of his Sword defense where they would “close in” to protect him. The swords were described to just over the ground meaning there’s a marginal distance between blade and floor and their height is 7’. Dias Blade is 6’ 2”. Mitsu Mazono is aiming at the center of the sword formation before these competitors is exactly 3’ 6” and up from their hovering position. Dias will be center of the sword between them acting as its most focus bulwark and penetration would not only push the sword back, explode, fragment, but enter his lower intestinal track since the exact height varies at 3’ 6” (not that significantly higher, could be lower). The Zeus Cannon, rated at 549,667 joules or a little over half a megajoule threatens to violently blast its target. That’s roughly 405413.57 foot-pounds of force, with a minimal diminish upon impact with his sword defense, that’d destroy Dias Blade’s lower half in pieces with sword debris scattered about and not including subsequent bullets doing more of the same. The power alone, besides obliterating its target, could tear Dias Blade in pieces not including the following Ratifier rounds working about a fraction of the power.

Conclusion
  • Dias Blade can deduce the location of his opponent if he is blocking ether with his field, but the features, including visual profile, of his opponent is blotted.
  • The blinding attack impairs both parties but does not interrupt their committed acts.
  • Dias Blade’s defenses do not measure against Mitsu Mazono’s Zeus Cannon and Ratifier’s attacks.
  • Dias Blade will not be able to see his opponent’s attack nor what he’s fixated on. This can and will impact the timing of his abilities since the “response” to Mitsu’ attack requires knowledge of an attack.
  • The activation of Dias Blade’s dodge is within a 1 second window after the lightshow, but within the timeframe where Mitsu’s attack is unleashed. He will not dodge in time due to his own offset.
  • The blinding light was activated before the attack of Mitsu.
  • Mitsu Mazono’s attack will successfully strike Dias Blade at his lower stomach region. It is believed either the belly button or lower abdomen.
  • The attack power of Mitsu’ Zeus cannon will not be altered by the Adamantite swords and if so only marginally. The power unleashed upon the target would cause shrapnel to explode directly at Dias including the projectile itself.
  • The power of Vertbranium round entering its target (Dias) will blow his lower half in apart including his spine, hips, and thighs.
  • Dias’ Sword attack, relying on chaining off the activation of Mitsu’ attack, may be interrupted since no telegraphy would justify the retaliation as sound would reach Dias after the bullets do. The visual indication is obscured by the adamantite sword-wall.
  • Dias Blade will potentially be knocked into the floor or send flailing.
  • The Ratifier’s bullets will pass and hit any remaining pieces of Dias but may not play significantly into further damaging the target since their speed is roughly .10s of a second after the initial impact.

The parties may dispute the claims in the proper channel (dispute channel) and in no time elsewhere or they will face disqualification. We are not going to rule an absolute victor in this bout until the disputes have been settled and thus this fight is suspended until a final ruling is issued. There is no chance of appeal for an EOD as we found the error(s) of either player being that of a player’s failure and not that of a tournament one, and the nature of these errors result in the completion of the tournament. That means both Decoy and Dias Blade are equally liable for elimination.

Verdict The round has concluded with minimum disputes over the previous with a primarily investigation into the damage Dias Blade will incur in this match. The 20mm bullet fired from Mitsu' Zeus cannon -- with its posted specifications -- will bore through Dias' defensive line in a flare of sparks and shrapnel. The debris will appear molten momentarily from two factors: The bullet penetrating the sword and the bullet being coated in electricity from the effect of its weapon design in Mitsu's profile sheet; and, the archflash explosion results from the initial contact with Dias' sword which can weld or diffuse said weapon and thus will not play any real pivotal role in damage sustained. The adamantite properties of the sword has been ruled defaulted without any specifications, thus will not impede the round's trajectory or velocity (or if so marginally).

The 20mm round will enter Dias' body having no external defenses that could opt to alleviate the power from the round. The ammunition's power will punch through his lower abdomen and exit behind with kinetic transference enough to knock him to the floor, and interrupting any attempt at a retaliation. The exit wound destroys Dias Blade's spine which will shock his entire nervous system, lower back muscle groups, his thoracolumbar fascia, and the sacrum which would result in the absolute inability to use his legs. The hydrostatic shock upon exiting will blow the target's balance away and not just cripple him, but ripple throughout his body as physical kinetic force will impact Dias' upper region (no we aren't suggesting he'll blow up). The bullet's properties might keep it pristine enough to avoid fracturing will minimizes excess damage internally, but its impact will render his lower intestine inoperable. Dias has no bodily defenses or healing to mitigate this damage despite his pain thresholds. We've also concluded that the Ratifier bullets -- same trajectory as the Zeus cannon -- do not enhance or augment Dias Blade's damage as the additional rounds were 10ths of a second between the initial strike and will not meet any part of his body that'd matter.

It's ruled that due to the nature, power, and lethality of this attack upon Dias Blade that Mitsu Mazono as paralyzed his opponent and he'll no longer be able to continue this bout.

Congratulations
