Goblin Gird
They came out of the trees man >>> Deciding what to do next /// Day 4 // Afternoon Gird saw the signal and in almost perfect unison the two dropped from their perch. He remembers falling and hearing nothing but the wind his target getting closer and closer. When he finally struck the rabbit he rolled to the side and away from the animal before instantly getting back on his feet to fight. His spear had found its mark but only barely. The Rabbit that Luz struck wasn’t moving and was clearly dead but his still had a little life left in it. His spear was still stuck in the Alpha but it was bleeding heavily to the point where it would expire soon. All he had to do was wait. But Gird couldn’t wait, the rabbit was clearly suffering. To him this was a test of strength. Knowing what he did about the Goddess of death, everything was a test. A test of skill, strength, intelligence, and speed. Every life he took in her name would join her in the Underworld. He could only hope that his gifts were worthy enough even if it meant destroying her own creations. Everything must die and one day he will too. The alpha was weak but Gird was still cautious as he circled his prey. The spear obviously hampered the rabbit’s movement. Once an opportunity presented itself Gird dove for the spear handle. Quickly, the goblin pined the rabbit down and grabbed its horn. Although the alpha struggled, Gird was quick to finish it off with a hard punch to the neck. Effectively breaking its spine. The now limp rabbit twitched for a moment then nothing. “May you join Duvelna in peace as a gift from Shirila. Sent to her from a loyal worshiper who will one day send her many more gifts.” The goblin whispered and did believe that all of Shirila’s creations were meant to be gifts to Duvelna. Some just get there sooner than others. As he processed the rabbit he turned to Luz and smiled. “Good job boss, your plan worked out perfectly. Looks like the female got away but now we have two alphas. I do believe that this will be enough food for our friends for the day.” The Goblin took his time to carefully pull the spear from the alpha before skinning the beast. It didn’t take him long to skin and clean the animal. He did however find himself becoming rather thirsty and decided to quench this thirst by eating the heart of the alpha while it was still filled with blood. After securing the rest of the rabbit meat by sticking his spear through the tendons on the back legs and putting the spear back through the vines on his back he smiled. “So what do you say we head back to the stone place with this food for the others? They might need some help to fortify that place they found.” He suggested to his partner as he looked around at their surroundings for anything useful. “I wouldn’t mind checking out that stone place anyway. Now that I’m not hungry.” Who was he kidding, he was always hungry. Gird did take a moment to find places for the alpha pelt and its horn in his vine chest wrap while he waited for his friend.
