The remaining Gods of Paarl gather to settle an agreement of who would succeed the almighty Osahir, but the confluence ends in conflict, barring solution. Heated beneath the rays of Paarl, the mortal plane trembles beneath the might of deific tempers, pulled taut by the abandonment of duties and the thirst for further authority over life. Nihayat—Sehten sees that you take on the role of one of many Gods -- each with their own ideals, ambitions, and solutions as they work to resolve or destroy alliances that might lead to the possession of Osahir's domain. خدایان به همه ما کمک می کنند[/sub]

discord.gg/NvExDWG
___________ [sub]An Ominous Prelude 2E 687, Du-raçi Dynasty, First Day of Nihayat—Sehten[/sub] ___________ A lone merchant wanders to behold the city of Tirã-Kin, the oasis of Nowhere and The Dry Wastes. Though what he sees is not the glimmer he had been told of; rather, he watches as a climbing cloud of sand threatens to settle, lingering beneath the burning suns and staining the air a foul orange. The man swallows at the thought of a fate foretold; a day in which the desert dares to reclaim the oasis as the Gods abandon their thrones. Beyond the mountain of Paarl and into a plane unseen by mortal eyes, the deities whom the people of Tirã'Kin hold so closely neglect their duties as they pursue eachother's necks, shaken by disagreements and crises beyond the comprehension of man. As even the Gods of harvest and new life are pulled into the fray, their discord paints itself upon the mortal canvas they created so long ago. Thus begins Nihayat—Sehten, the future-told fall of the Gods of the Second Era.

LORE AND MYTHOS

[sup]افسانه و افسانه ها[/sup]

THE CREATION MYTH The people of The Dry Wastes held that the world had arisen out of the primeval waters of chaos, known as Nu-e. It is believed that Tirã-Kin, the great oasis, was the first point to rise from the waters, with the mountain of Paarl being the tallest point of their visible world. Such stories tie in greatly with the flooding of the River Khef each year, during which the gradually receding waters would reveal softened and fertile earth in their wake. The sun - a vital icon amongst the burning desert - is said to have birthed from the bud of a mallow flower as it bloomed at the peak of Paarl. The sun otherwise bears the name of Akhtun, and is perceived as a never-ending deity which consummated with the sky and bore the Gods of the First Era as its children. Mortal men are told to have risen from damp soil many sunrises later, as the last of Nu-e evaporated away. Human existence is understood by mortals as being a mere segment of an eternal journey, presided over and orchestrated by the many deities which comprised the pantheon of Tirã-Kin and The Dry Wastes. In death, mortal souls are ferried to the afterlife, wherein they would continue their own eternal journey affected by how well they had lived their life before. AKHTUN, AT-UIR, AND THE DIRE SUMMER Akhtun, upon realising his solitude, consorted with his own shadow in the form of the sky in order to birth At-uir, The Second Sun. It was the birth of At-uir which saw the coming of the seasons as the new planet rotated around the two suns in a broad figure of eight. Akhtun, grand and golden, burned the sands with long summers and warm nights. At-uir, modest and blue, offered cooler days and cold, still nights. However, upon reaching the central point of rotation, mortals are put through what they dub clearly as The Dire Summer; a stretch of time where neither sun sets, and the night never comes. THE SECOND ERA The growing of mankind and its culture presented growing concern for Akhtun, who worried of the new world's survivability. He, along with the first "Gods" (namely the sky and At-Uir) planted their own seed in the image of man and ascended a generation of pseudo-humans into what became known as Paarl, The Endless Dream. This dream, constructed by the ambient thoughts of Akhtun, saw that the great sun settle its consciousness into an endless slumber. In giving once-mortals their own domains to govern and maintain, the Gods of the First Era had passed on the torch to make way for the children of the Second Era. NIHAYAT—SEHTEN The Gods of the Second Era were headed by Osahir, God of Order and appointed All-Father of the Pantheon. Though many centuries had passed during his grand and knowledgable overwatching, signs of the coming of a new Era began to swell. Tremors would shake the usually tranquil grounds of Paarl, and waves of heat and cold and the whisper of distant voices in the wind told tales of the beginning of an age-old prophecy; Nihayat—Sehten, the beginning of an end. The Great Sun began to stir, and Akhtun threatened to awaken. The Gods - who had become so accustomed to their endlessness - suddenly feared mortality. For if the dreamer of the dream were to awaken, Paarl and all its inhabitants would turn to ash and sand. Though the crisis brought many to the edge of their tempers, Osahir, whose honor was nigh unmatched by his brethren, cast himself into the flames of Akhtun as to smother the First God back into his hibernation. The Paarl dream ceased it's dissolving, but alas, the empty throne of the All-Father saw that another conundrum arose. A confluence of the Gods saw no solution to the election of Osahir's successor, and many heads sought to claim the domain of Order beneath their wing. Relations and treaties pulled taught beneath the argument, and each began to ponder their own routes to the empty title. For all their might and wisdom, the Pantheon dared not imagine that the first day of Nihayat—Sehten was not the stirring of Akhtun, but the day of their confluence.

TIR×KIN The beacon of life within the vast desert, and the centre of all trade across the sands. Constructed of sandstone and marble and decorated with gleaming golds, the shining city of Tirã-Kin is led by the image of Emperor Ptolem IV, who in turn issues commands echoed from the whispers of his many masked advisers. The Emperor's Council is entirely populated by this advisers, who devoutly worship the God of Secrets. Represented by the image of the sun, Emperors are appointed by blood only, and are said to be the incarnation of Order; a reflection of the late Osahir himself. Though the economy is maintained by skilled craftsman and businessmen alike, the majority of labour work is divided across the backs of slaves. Slaves are obtained from the many settlements in the vicinity of Tirã-Kin; small villages and towns unable to afford tax will forfeit their children as substitute, an act which has led to several revolts in the history of Tirã-Kin. The shining city is built in an upwards motion, with the palace being built atop the Temple of Divines at the central peak of the architecture. Said architecture reflects upon the innovations of ancient Rome, but still retains the traditions of religion and culture akin to that of the Egyptians. With divine presence being so prominent, mankind will pin the troubles of failed crops and illness to the wrath of the Gods, and pay great effort into remaining at peace with them. Though the idols of nigh all Gods can be found within the Temple of Divines, some will bear external shrines in their image, often having mortals journey on pilgrimages to visit them across the wastes. Though meddling in mortal affairs is frowned upon within Paarl, it is known that any deity who wishes to enter the mortal plane would most likely do so by means of Sahaq. It is possible for portals to be torn open by force if the aggressor so desired, but Sahaq is built for such purposes of travel, if very rarely used.
