[@Rune_Alchemist] Anise looked up as Claire came over, and listened to her words. ‘Hah. I seem to remember you struggling a lot,’ Anise smirked at Claire’s first thing, then nodded with a bit of a pleased if restrained smile with a bit of pride as Claire said her positive piece. Then there was the part that Claire had to run, and Anise nodded. ‘Alright. I’ll see you later, then. You know where to find me, if I don’t go on my own journey. I might take a trip to Worldedge City to look in their libraries for whatever that legend might refer to…’ Anise mused abscently. She waved at Claire as she departed, and kept seated. She was still tired. Riolu looked on in interest as Zeal was beginning to show off the move, but was left staring in confusion when the Chimchar was lifted away before the show was over. And then everyone got a view of Claire was brought to the ground by the army gathered by her own Pokémon, but that aside. Time to train Zeal. Unfortunately, Zeal was very much still the runt when it came to battling the Fighting-types of Mt. Strength. That said, there were Geodudes around, vulnerable to Zeal’s new move. Pokédex Entry #74 – Geodude, the Rock Pokémon. Found in fields as well as mountains. They commonly rest, half-buried in the ground and indistinguishable from normal rocks. There are always way more Geodude around than a traveler will notice. Stepping on one by accident may trigger their rage. So, with that, proceeding to Power-Up Punching Geodudes! The Rock-Pokémon will attempt to Tackle back, but after the first Geodude, the rest would be somewhat easier, thanks to Power-Up Punch… Zeal grew to level 7! Zeal learned Ember! After punching enough rocks, and getting tackled a number of time in return, Zeal learned a new move. Oh, and there’s something over there, dropped between a couple rocks… Claire found Soda Pop! … It looks healthy? The drink is intended to heal Pokémon, someone appears to have dropped it here. Anyways! Out of Mt. Strength, and back to Route 4!

Route 4
Route 4 is a pleasant stride through the forest known as Stillwood Forest, in which Stillwood Village dwells. Being at the base of Mt. Strength, the ground is decently uneven and you’re going to be going uphill as well as downhill and the beaten path isn’t even flat. But, it’s a pleasant forest where you’re unlikely to run into many problems. Being where it is, Route 4 has the unique little advantage that it gets a couple wild Pokémon from the surrounding forests AND a couple stray Mt. Strength dwellers that leak down onto Route 4, allowing some trainers that would never dare traverse the mountains at least have a taste of what kind of Pokémon they might expect up there. Maybe. It should be noted, the inhabitants of Stillwood Village usually don’t tread very far from their village… but Route 4 is very much their route. There are Aroma Ladies aplenty around here, walking about on random walks through the forest just enjoying life, making the route decently populated by odd ladies that look like they might have inhaled a bit too many spores, given their wide smiles. But, otherwise, the route is as much a route as any other.

Common: #43 Oddish (nocturnal) #187 Hoppip #285 Shroomish Uncommon: #66 Machop #74 Geodude Rare:
Because on Route 4, Claire could find Grass-Pokémon, who are all vulnerable to Zeal’s new move! So, the training continues, now burning numerous Hoppips, Shroomish and Oddishes if Claire wants to disturb their sleep. These were considerably easier battles, on account of that Ember’s a ranged move and Grass-types weren’t nearly as effective against Zeal as the solid rocks were. Here he could train easily. Zeal grew to level 10! Zeal learned Taunt! And then, lots of moves done, challenging a couple trainers! Now, there’s a bunch of Aroma Ladies on Route 4… but there was this Hiker sticking out like a sore thumb just standing about looking at nothing in particular. ‘I was going to hike Mt. Strength, but there’s a bunch of pretty ladies on Route 4… Oh, right. You want to battle. Let’s go!’
Pokédex Entry #74 – Geodude, the Rock Pokémon. Rock Head would have prevented Recoil damage. Pokédex Entry #66 – Machop, the Superpower Pokémon. A Machop is built up by a special muscle, which despite its size makes it stronger than 100 humans and will never tire no matter how much it strains itself. This combined with their general availability makes them a common choice for helping humans with manual labours. May use Karate Chop, Low Kick and Leer in any order. Guts will boost Attack if inflicted by a status condition! Pokédex Entry #95 – Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon. It lives deep underground, and it burrows through earth at a staggering 80 km/h in search of food, and it grows harder as it collects material while digging. A magnet in its brain keeps track of which direction it is travelling. The tunnels it creates behind it as it burrows are often used as homes for other Pokémon. Will Curse once or twice to boost Defense and Attack at the price of speed, then proceed to Rock Tomb! Rock Head would have prevented Recoil damage.
Okay, that guy out of the way, go fight a regular Aroma Lady. Here’s one, dancing in a slight field of forest flowers looking all happy breathing the spores from her Shroomish… ‘It’s so hard for us villagers to leave Stillwood Village, the air’s so lifeless and stagnant out here! It lives deep in dark, damp forest where it eats the composted soil and fallen leaves. By day it remains still in the forest shade, by night it moves to eat. If it detects danger, it can spout highly toxic spores from the top of its head, strong enough to make trees wilt. Stun Spore to introduce, then Absorb the enemy! Quick Feet boosts speed if inflicted by a status condition! It stores nutrients for its evolution in the smaller ball, which makes it really tasty and other Pokémon try to eat it. When the smaller ball shrivels, it’s a sign Cherubi will soon evolve. It is attracted to honey. In harsh sunlight, it becomes red. Will use Sunny Day, after which Chlorophyll will boost its speed! It’ll try to Leech Seed, then keep out of the way with increased speed as the opponent is drained! It’s flowers release a scent known to cause extreme relaxation, the scent being stronger the healthier it is. Attempting to pick the flowers will result in it defending itself with its highly poisonous thorns, which it can launch as projectiles. It is drawn towards nutritious waters. Will try to poison with Poison Sting, then Mega Drain! Natural Cure would heal status conditions upon switching out.
__________________________ [@Eklispe][@Joshua Tamashii] The two of them took off again, leaving the herd of Miltanks which looked after them curiously before heading towards Raremine Town. The truck from earlier had taken off, with the Bronzong sitting blocking the now open exit with Psychic powers, those ancient Pokémon they had managed to reign in still locked in with Leila on her Rapidash galloping to catch up. Anyways. The two headed on, when the air got noticeably hotter at they approached the town at the edge of the desert…

Raremine Town
[sub][sub][sub]no cat-eared girls here, sorry[/sub][/sub][/sub] Raremine Town is a moderately large, bright town on the edge of the only desert in Isson. By some twist, the largest mineral deposits in the land is located right under the desert, making it an attractive place to build mines. From that, Raremine Town naturally sprung into being as a merchant town on the edge of habitability from where the mineral could then be delivered to the rest of Isson. The temperature is hot, sun blazing down on this land where plains slowly become desert, the atmosphere dry and unfriendly… yet, life and trees blossoms among the buildings of Raremine Town. The ground is still the grass from the Vast Plains, with buildings on top of them. The modern houses stand tall with plenty of architectural skill put into them, tools for building and living sold inside the houses. Everywhere, one can see workers walking about, but they’re happy workers, with their families living close at hand in the town and with the finest equipment available. Oh, and of course, plenty of Pokémon that assist with the finding of ores and such! The trees, which appear to have been planted and grown all over town by the residents themselves, gives plenty of homes for local Pokémon to live. Overall, it’s busy, with people walking and talking all over, an active town indeed. Looking at and around the trees, there’s actually a fair amount of bugs around. Pokédex Entry #664 – Scatterbug, the Scatterdust Pokémon. Using a dust which covers its body and regulates its body-temperature, it can live in any region or climate. If attacked, it can release a poisonous black powder which paralyzes upon contact. Pokédex Entry #290 – Nincada, the Trainee Pokémon. It is usually found underground, using its antennae to sense its surroundings. It gains nourishment my tapping into the roots of trees with its claws as it await evolution. Nincadas are nearly blind, and avoid sunlight due to inability to withstand it. Also, it seems the natural pet of choice in Raremine Town is Drilburs, a common sight following kids or just playing around, looking pretty happy. Pokédex Entry #529 – Drilbur, the Mole Pokémon. They and Excadrills dig out maze like nests underground in which they live. Drilbur is known for being able to travel very fast through soil, able to reach 30 mph by putting its claws together and spinning rapidly, drilling through earth. They’re known to be rather friendly around people. … So. What here?
1. Find Pokémon.
