She has devoted herself to the sole discipline of unarmed martial arts and is considered in the guild to be something of a martial arts guru. Being a monk class, she has a lot of self buffs that increase her offensive stats and mobility. She prefers to be right in the thick of fighting and, although she is tough enough to handle a fair amount of punishment, relies mostly on her speed to dodge and counter enemy attacks. She holds true to her honour and always keeps her word. She holds others to their word as well and can be persistent to the point of prosecution when others fail to keep their promises. Overall she is compassionate and understanding with those who don't adhere to her own code of honour and sees those who are untrustworthy as undesirable. She takes her role in the guild seriously and honestly feels responsible for the welfare of the empire. She has come to think of the guild as her family and the NPCs are akin to her children. She is, for all intents and purposes, a noble lady of the empire and wishes only for it's prosperity. Now that the game is ending she can't help but feel like the world around her is dying.[/color] [b]Bio/Lore: [/b] [color=Gray] Nana was born in a working class family. Her mother was a cashier at a convenience store and her father was a low level office worker. Being their only child, she was their pride and joy, and they worked tirelessly to provide for her wants and needs. As a young girl she joined the Gymnastics club at her school. She was always active and athletic but found that she had a particular talent for Gymnastics and decided to pursue it in earnest. Seeing the conviction in their daughter's eyes, her parents sought out the best teachers despite their modest income and happily took on extra work to support her dreams. For the first few years the only time she ever saw her parents was at Gymnastic exhibitions. Eventually her father worked his way up the company and her parents were able to start working less. In her senior year she earned an athletic scholarship to a private university, she and her parents were beyond thrilled. Soon Gymnastics became the only topic of discussion in her household. Her parents would praise her constantly and remark at how proud they were. All of her father's coworkers knew about her accomplishments as he excitedly displayed every single achievement she had ever won in his office. Her Gymnastic career was steadily rising and her coach proposed that she try out for the Olympic team. She couldn't imagine a more wonderful idea. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. On the way to the try outs there was a car accident. She awoke in a hospital looking up at her parents, faces red and puffy from hours of crying. Her coach sat silent in the corner, grim faced and stony. In a blink she had lost everything. Over the next few weeks doctors streamed in and out of her room checking her vital signs, her IV, her catheter bag. She was eventually taken off breathing machines but it was clear that she would never move again. At first her parents visited every day; they would tell her stories and gossip about coworkers to try and keep her involved in the world outside of the hospital bed. Over time it became clear that she was too withdrawn and depressed to make a difference. Their visitations became more strained and less frequent until eventually they stopped altogether. With nothing to do and no one to interact with the doctors became concerned about her mental health and suggested a Full Dive device. A Full Dive device would allow her to explore new places and meet new people. She was instantly hooked. Being able to walk, run, jump...all the things she'd thought were lost to her, plus more! It was more than she could have ever hoped for. At first the doctors tried to limit her time in virtual space, but it was clear there was nothing for her in the "real" world anymore. She only logged off to sleep. She made real friends, something she'd never truly experienced before given her singular pursuit of Gymnastics. She quickly blasted through game after game until discovering YGGDRASIL, with its vast open world, fluid class system, and character created NPC feature, she found herself spending 18 hours a day playing. After several hundred hours of playing solo Nana wanted more. She had joined parties for raids, crawled many dungeons, and quested for days, but she was still missing a greater sense of community. That's when she found De Ordine Imperii, a young guild at the time. They were strong and friendly to most players. They accepted her right away and she took to them as well. The emphasis on roleplaying as a member of an order was enticing. She could immerse herself in a life and not just a game. When she wasn't participating in guild activities like raids or conquering territory, she was creating NPCs and maintaining the guild's halls. Nana participated in the conquest of Arce Bellum and took a liking to it. She regularly spent her days in it's grand halls. More than once she was caught having conversations with NPCs about how she wished she could live there full time. With the imminent shutdown of YGGDRASIL's servers she may never again find a place like it... or perhaps.[/color] [/hider]
