Day Job: 
Since becoming the host for the Beast entity, Mike rarely removes the mask as the Beast is more in control. Sorta like the helmet of Dr. Fate in the YJ cartoon series. 

Powers: 
The Mask of the Beast gives the wearer various supernatural based powers and abilities. The body almost doubles in size and possesses the strength and speed of the strongest and fastest animals in Africa [ 10 tons, 75 mph]. It grants the ability to summon and control wildlife telepathically, as well as the ability to fuse two to four animals together to form a chimera. This can include humans as well as himself with great concentration. All fused beasts have a limited duration and separate unharmed in time. The Mask also provides the wearer a limited amount of durability and healing, also magic based. 

Weaknesses: 
He isn't the strongest guy on the block and can be overpowered. If an enemy manages to remove the Mask of the Beast all of Mike's powers are gone and he's just a normal guy. As his power is magic based, magic can also have varying effects on him. While Mike has magic based durability and healing, if a stronger opponent dropped a skyscraper on him he'd be dead, but the mask would remain.... 

Skills: 
Beast is an excellent tracker and is formidable in stealth despite his size.

BRIEF Bio: 

Mike Maxwell traveled to Africa to do volunteer work at a new animal preserve. However, the plane crashed killing everyone but Maxwell. Finding shelter in a cave somewhere near mount Kilimanjaro, Mike stumbled upon a large mask with a mane of fur. When the winds blew through the cave, Mike decided to put the mask on hoping the fur would protect him from the weather. His life would forever be changed when the Beast used his body as a host to defend the new animal shelter from those who would see it destroyed and forgotten. In time the JLU would be called to investigate the 'jungle monster'. After their encounter the Beast was offered JLU membership and accepted. In reality the League wanted to keep an eye on the monster of a man due to his incredible supernatural power, much in the same way the Avengers use the Hulk. They don't just want him as a member, they want to keep his power in check.

Bulletproof, something of a reinvention of Marvel's Luke Cage. A 19 year old white kid with invulnerability and limited strength. Likely among the Titans after I get 5 posts deep.
