The full weight of the moment had come crashing down and kai had hastily thrown himself in the middle of it like a fool. If not for the mask obscuring his face everyone would have seen the shame bloom across it. The man was older, not by much it seemed at a glance, but Kai didn't hear his attempt to calm him down. All he saw was another brother stopping him.
