"Father." Aiden breathed in disbelief, seemingly unable to process the information. He stared into nothing and shook his head, though he didn't seem too broken as of yet. It must have been the adrenaline and the constant surprises. "No!...I'm sorry, my Prince." Taya said, placing a hand on his shoulder. He nodded, and drew himself up, squaring his jaw. "I should have known it was them. Gaius I can understand would have no qualms, but Alexander killing our father...I did not think he would go that far. But no one will believe I did it. I'm to be King tomorrow, why would I jeopardize my position?" "I'm sure some people would believe you, but if they have the ear of the people with that vidcaster, eventually they'll believe anything." Neil said, having seen first hand what government propaganda could do on his world. "We're not going to have any help with the palace guard as long as they're up there spewing bullshit. But if we could broadcast ourselves..." He let the words sink in. The Prince began to ponder at that. "Taya, could you hack into the broadcasting system?" Neil asked. The young woman nodded after a moment, biting her lip as she considered. "If I had some rudimentary equipment, yes. I just need a good frequency and a high place to work. The higher the elevation, the better." "We can't go back to my palace or your guest rooms." Aiden said. "Why don't we go into Alexander's quarters, up to the highest level? I don't think anyone would be expecting that." Neil said, peeking around the hall corner to check if anyone was approaching. Behind him, he heard Junebug reply. "So we're to walk into a heavily fortified, enemy quarter of the Palace to hack into the system in the hopes people will listen?" "Yep." "Well, I hope you don't mind the dress being tarnished." She said, tearing off the lower section to give her legs more room to move. "We need some more weapons." "The guards have checkpoints every few miles." Aiden said. "I know the codes to get into one of them. They'll have small arms. But we need to try not to kill any of my Palace guards if we can help it. They're just doing their jobs." [@Penny]
