Might not be a wish entirely but he hopes so. Personality: Honda Tadakatsu is quite the honorable hero, probably of the same magnitude as the more popular ones in the West. He follows the samurai code as if his life was tied into it even as the modern era dawns on him. This does not stop one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Ieyasu’s grand army to stop what he loved honoring from birth to death. The man comes off as lenient yet strict. While he knows his position as the Servant to a Master, he will not bend to his command and fight dirty like most warriors of the olden ages. Should his Master force him to do such a heinous act, he would rather desert or die for that matter. Background: A native of Mikawa Province in Japan, he lived during the Azuchi–Momoyama and Edo periods. Ieyasu promoted him from daimyō/lord of the Ōtaki han/domain to the Kuwana han as a reward for his service. In addition, his son Honda Tadatomo became daimyo of Ōtaki. Honda Tadakatsu is generally regarded as one of Tokugawa Ieyasu's finest generals, and he fought in almost all of his master's major battles. He gained distinction at the Battle of Anegawa, helping in the defeat of the armies under the Azai and Asakura clans along with Tokugawa's ally, Oda Nobunaga. His finest moment came in the Komaki Campaign. Left at Komaki while Ieyasu departed to engage Toyotomi troops at Nagakute, Tadakatsu observed a huge host under Hideyoshi himself move out in pursuit. With a handful of men, Tadakatsu rode out and challenged the Toyotomi army from the opposite bank of the Shonai River. Toyotomi Hideyoshi (who outnumbered Honda by up to 50 or 60 to 1) was said to have been struck by the bravery of this warrior, and ordered that no harm come to him, his men, or Ishikawa Yasumichi, who accompanied him on this bid to buy time for Ieyasu. Tadakatsu seems to have been a colorful figure, around whom a few legends have sprung up - it is often said that of all the battles in which he served, he never once received a wound. His helmet, famously adorned with deer antlers, ensured that he was always a recognizable figure on the field of battle. His horse was known as Mikuniguro. His spear was named Tonbo-Giri, or Dragonfly Cutter, because legend held that the tip of the spear was so sharp that a dragonfly that landed on it was cut in two. His fighting prowess with it was so great that it became known as one of the "Three Great Spears of Japan". In 1609, he retired, and his other son Tadamasa took over Kuwana. Tadakatsu's daughter, Komatsuhime was Sanada Nobuyuki's lawful wife and mother of Sanada Nobumasa, daimyō of Matsushiro Domain. His grandson, Tadatoki, married the granddaughter of Tokugawa Ieyasu, Senhime. Despite his years of loyal service, Tadakatsu became increasingly estranged from the Tokugawa shogunate (bakufu) as it evolved from a military to a civilian political institution. This was a fate shared by many other warriors of the time, who were not able to make the conversion from the chaotic lifetime of warfare of the Sengoku period to the more stable peace of the Tokugawa shogunate.
Stats: Strength: B Endurance: C Agility: B Magical Energy: C Luck: A Noble Phantasm: B+ Class Skills: Magic Resistance (Rank B) - Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected. Riding (Rank B) - Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill, even vehicles that did not exist in the time period one was alive in, for they are no exception. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts. Personal Skills: Military Tactics (Rank B) - It is tactical knowledge used not for one-on-one combat situations, but for battles where many are mobilized. Bonus modifiers are provided during use of one's own Anti-Army Noble Phantasm or when dealing against an enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. Of this rank, his Noble Phantasm gets a modifier. Bravery (Rank A) - It is the ability to negate mental interference such as pressure, confusion and fascination. It also has the bonus effect of increasing melee damage. Protection from Mortal Wounds (Rank A) - A mesh of other Personal Skills (Protection from Arrows, Knowledge of Melees, etc.) bound together to form one unique skill perfectly fit for Honda Tadakatsu. From all of his known battles he has not received a single wound, and so his legend is forged in the form of a near immeasurable skill, a skill where, it could be physicallu possible, to block and/or evade almost any life-threatening attack coming his way. The skill coordinates with luck. Servants with B rank might catch up to his technique but anything below C rank is useless. Heroes with A rank luck and above can negate this skill. The negation also applies to magic-based and Fate-defying attacks. Combat Capabilities: From the class alone, Honda Tadakatsu is especially skilled in the use of a spear. He has used the Tonbokiri in most of his famous battles so far, as well as conducting strategies on and off the battlefield. He can also do quite well mounted on a horse. Noble Phantasm(s): Name: Tonbokiri, The Dragonfly Cutter Rank: B Type: Anti-Unit/Anti-Army Description: A forty centimeter long spear that legend holds is so sharp, that when a dragonfly landed it was split in two. The basis of this Noble Phantasm is that it ignores physical armor or defense and directly rends flesh as if it were cutting the dragonfly in half. Of course it doesn't cut something in half clean as it is not a blade but it will pierce without fail.
Name: Armor of Antlers: The Heavenly King Cometh Rank: C Type: Anti-Unit (Self) Description: Honda's most notable armor during the Edo periods. Donning his full set of samurai armor gives him a bonus modifier in his Endurance stat. However, his identity would be revealed to all standing before his figure.
