When written upside down, it acts as a means to cloud one's instinct. Uruz - A rune of strength; a rune that acts as a means to reinforce something to it's peak. When written upside down, it weakens what it has been written on. Thurisaz - A rune of burning; a rune that creates a fire, but has a bonus effect of purging one of their impurities. When written upside down, the flame acts as a method to "corrupt" someone. Ansuz - A rune of suggestion; a rune that makes what it is written upon more resistant to suggestion. When written upside down, it causes what it is written upon less resistant to suggestion. Raidho - A rune of sight; a rune that increases one's vision. When written upside down, it blinds them. Kenaz - A rune of life; a rune that reanimates a corpse. When written upside down, it begins making what it has been written on decay. Gebo - A rune of contract; a rune that establishes a contract between the writer, and whatever it is written on. When written upside down, it removes contracts. Wunjo - A rune of emotion; a rune that brings joy to what it is written upon. When written upside down, it sends the target into a maddened frenzy. Hagalaz - A rune of storm; a rune that causes lightning to fire from it. It can not be written upside down. Nauthiz - A rune of restraint; a rune that binds what it is written on, making them unable to move. When written upside down, it frees whatever it is written on from restraint. Isa - A rune of ice; a rune that creates ice. It can not be written upside down. Jera - A rune of cycles; a rune that allows other runes to be used again. Must also be used as the suffix of a word. Also costs the same magical energy as the combination of runes used. It can not be written upside down. Eihwaz - A rune of focus; a rune that clear's ones head, allowing them to focus on one thing. When written upside down, it has the power to cause all sorts of intrusive thoughts. Perthro - A rune of secrecy; a rune that hides what it is written upon, as if they were removed from existence. When written upside down, it can be used as a tracking rune. Algiz - A rune of defense; a rune that creates a barrier. When it is written upside down, it has the power to break through barriers. Sowilo - A rune of sun; a rune that acts as a sun at it's apex. When it is written upside down, it acts as the moon. Tiwaz - A rune of victory; a rune that speeds up the mind's ability to think. When it is written upside down, it slows down the ability to think. Berkano - A rune of healing; a rune that heals what it is written upon. When it is written upside down, it lowers the health of the target. Ehwaz - A rune of speed; a rune that increases the speed of what it is written upon. When it is written upside down, it decreases the speed. Mannaz - A rune of man; a rune that grants what it is written on an irresistible charisma about them. When it is written upside down, it makes the object unwanted, and worthy of scorn. Laguz - A rune of energy; a rune that draws magical energy into it. When it is written upside down, it has the power to dispel magical energy. Ingwaz - A rune of growth; a rune that amplifies the power of other runes. It can't be written upside down.
