Appearance without armor
Wieland is a tad shorter than most Spartan IV's, his jet black hair kept in a trimmed, swept back manner under his helmet at any given time, somehow remaining tidy even after an extended mission. He tends to have an eternal five o' clock shadow, no matter how recently he shaved, and it tends to simply be a natural thing for him at this point to simply let it be. His dull grey eyes hide the razor sharp intelligence behind them, and the typically relaxed expression could fool someone into thinking he simple a casual, laid back soldier instead of a Spartan IV. On his upper left arm is the ODST badge, the tattoo received after his first successful combat drop with the ODSTs, and is the one he is the most proud of by far. Besides that, he has a Celtic styled cross on his back, stretching down his spine and across his shoulder blades, the top stopping just before the collar on a dress uniform would stop.

Personality
Speak softly, and make one hell of an explosion is the motto that Wielend goes by on a regular basis. Despite his former background as an ODST, he isn't one to talk much or brag, letting the more vocal members of a given team do the chattering and general bravado indulging. The man is a thinker, often times planning and scheming about how to bring his weapons to bear most effectively, but is almost always running along several trains of thought at the same time. Considering how long he was used to working with a team, he much prefers to continue to do so, routinely sticking close enough to cover an ally in a given team. He has a fondness for getting up close and personal, second only to his passion for explosives, which usually do not make for a good combination. He has made it work though, surprisingly enough, and often times can make do with an alarmingly little amount of supplies.

Everything that is said or done by Wieland can assuredly be only after a significant amount of deliberation and forethought, and getting his earnest, unrefined opinion on something is an exercise in futility most of the time. He tends to be very careful with what he shares and discusses, and tends to be more secretive than most would consider healthy. But as long as the team works together, it shouldn't matter terribly much that he doesn't discuss himself anymore than completely necessary.
