Wanted to mention that encounter rolls, rolls which decide if you encounter creatures to battle, happen whenever you enter a new area (the small locations within a region) this means that unless you want to fight creatures solo make sure your party is with you. You guys can discuss in OOC which direction you want to go and if you're going together. I will do encounter rolls each time you enter a new area. So if Fahall the Frozen for example goes off on his own, he will run into an encounter just like the party would. Edit #1: [Resource Points] added to OP and [Resources] has been renamed, [Resources and Their Uses]
Before you can craft or construct something in Khoyee you’ll need the resources to do so. You could purchase the required resources but this requires a fair amount of capital to do so and would be difficult to do so early on before you’ve established yourself in the lands of Khoyee. For most resources your main source of resources will be resource points which are points in which resources respawn every Khoyee Day (3 real time days), the exception to this would be meat which can be earned through cleaning creatures or raising creatures on a ranch. Harvesting resources is simple, you simply need the skill to do and the proper tool. When you find a resource point you wish to harvest roll a D20 and collect the resources shown in the resource list. Harvesting Without the Proper Skill Some resources like ore can give lower quality drops if you happen to have the proper tool but not the proper skill. Ore Shards for example are tiny pieces of ore that are worth 5x less than a chunk of ore. Resource Drop Rate Whenever you gather at a resource point you are guaranteed to get some resources, the amount of loot depends on your roll. The results are as follows... D20: 1-5 = 1 Resource 6-10 = 2 Resources 11-15 = 3 Resources 16-20 = 4 Resources So if you have the proper skill to gather Tier I Herbs and rolled a 12 at a resource point, you would gather 3 Tier I Herbs. If you didn’t have the proper skill but had the proper tool for Tier I Herbs, then you would gather 3 Tier I Herb Seeds. Resource Experience Rates Gathering any resource increases your Gathering Role experience. The amount of experience provided is based on the Tier of the Resource, the quality of the resource (ore shard compared to ore chunk), and how much you gather of it. Tier I Low-Quality Resource - 5 exp per High-Quality Resource - 25 exp per Tier II Low-Quality Resource - 10 exp per High-Quality Resource - 50 exp per Tier III Low-Quality Resource - 20 exp per High-Quality Resource - 100 exp per Tier IV Low-Quality Resource - 40 exp per High-Quality Resource - 200 exp per Tier V Low-Quality Resource - 80 exp per High-Quality Resource - 400 exp per Ore Tier I Required Tool - Tier I Pickaxe Required Skill - Tier I Mining Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier I Shard Resource Drop With Skill - Tier I Ore Tier II Required Tool - Tier II Pickaxe Required Skill - Tier II Mining Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier II Shard Resource Drop With Skill - Tier II Ore Tier III Required Tool - Tier III Pickaxe Required Skill - Tier III Mining Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier III Shard Resource Drop With Skill - Tier III Ore Tier IV Required Tool - Tier IV Pickaxe Required Skill - Tier IV Mining Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier IV Shard Resource Drop With Skill - Tier IV Ore Tier V Required Tool - Tier V Pickaxe Required Skill - Tier V Mining Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier V Shard Resource Drop With Skill - Tier V Ore Lumber Tier I Required Tool - Tier I Lumber Axe Required Skill - Tier I Lumberjack Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier I Firewood Resource Drop With Skill - Tier I Lumber Tier II Required Tool - Tier II Lumber Axe Required Skill - Tier II Lumberjack Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier II Firewood Resource Drop With Skill - Tier II Lumber Tier III Required Tool - Tier III Lumber Axe Required Skill - Tier III Lumberjack Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier III Firewood Resource Drop With Skill - Tier III Lumber Tier IV Required Tool - Tier IV Lumber Axe Required Skill - Tier IV Lumberjack Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier IV Firewood Resource Drop With Skill - Tier IV Lumber Tier V Required Tool - Tier V Lumber Axe Required Skill - Tier V Lumberjack Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier V Firewood Resource Drop With Skill - Tier V Lumber Vegetation Tier I Required Tool - Tier I Sycle Required Skill - Tier I Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier I Vegetable Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier I Vegetable Tier II Required Tool - Tier II Sycle Required Skill - Tier II Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier II Vegetable Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier II Vegetable Tier III Required Tool - Tier III Sycle Required Skill - Tier III Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier III Vegetable Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier III Vegetable Tier IV Required Tool - Tier IV Sycle Required Skill - Tier IV Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier IV Vegetable Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier IV Vegetable Tier V Required Tool - Tier V Sycle Required Skill - Tier V Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier V Vegetable Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier V Vegetable Fruit Tier II Required Tool - Tier II Sycle Required Skill - Tier II Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier II Fruit Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier II Fruit Tier III Required Tool - Tier III Sycle Required Skill - Tier III Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier III Fruit Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier III Fruit Tier IV Required Tool - Tier IV Sycle Required Skill - Tier IV Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier IV Fruit Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier IV Fruit Tier V Required Tool - Tier V Sycle Required Skill - Tier V Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier V Fruit Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier V Fruit Herbs Tier I Required Tool - Tier I Sycle Required Skill - Tier I Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier I Herb Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier I Herb Tier II Required Tool - Tier II Sycle Required Skill - Tier II Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier II Herb Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier II Herb Tier III Required Tool - Tier III Sycle Required Skill - Tier III Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier III Herb Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier III Herb Tier IV Required Tool - Tier IV Sycle Required Skill - Tier IV Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier IV Herb Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier IV Herb Tier V Required Tool - Tier V Sycle Required Skill - Tier V Farmer Resource Drop Without Skill - Tier V Herb Seed Resource Drop With Skill - Tier V Herb
Edit #2: Resource Points expanded upon to include experience earnings. Edit #3: Character Creation related material copied over to a 0th post on the Character section. In case you're writing your character over there and want to just scroll up to read info rather than have another tab open.
