Glad to have you aboard, especially with enthusiasm like that! And speaking of characters... Name: Bryan Winterman Age: 30 Gender: Male Nationality: Canadian Branch of Service: Canadian Forces Military Police Appearance: Personality: Pretty easy-going and friendly for the most part, with a good sense of humour and outlook on life. He's a positive sort, with a strong moral fiber. He tries to protect those weaker than him, and hates to see people 'throwing their weight around', which is in part why he joined the military and particularly the MPs. Equally so, he is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in with force, and to use that force in the 'most effective manner', even if it's not necessarily the prettiest or most pleasant one - and he believes that bad things should happen to bad people, and that sometimes, a good man must do bad things for the world to be a better place. Personal History: Bryan's father was a Police Officer in Calgary. He had a good reputation, as did his family, and he loved his job. He was very good at it, and raised his family - including Bryan and his sister - to be good people. When Bryan was a teenager, he argued a lot with his father, but still respected him. However, during one night after they'd had an argument, Bryan's dad was called to respond to an incidence of a robbery at a private residence. The criminals were heavily armed, and Bryan's Dad and his partner reached the incident first. Responding with their personal weapons, they set up a perimeter, and the criminals attempted to run, using the family at the property as cover. Bryan's Dad attempted to open fire with his shotgun, but the gun jammed with a shell partially-caught in the chamber, and he was shot. Bryan found ways to blame himself, due to their argument, and never forgave the harsh words he exchanged with his father being his last. However, his Dad's partner and his mother assured him he knew how he really felt, and he decided to follow his path into duty and law enforcement, and joined the Canadian Forces after meeting a recruiter at school. He found life in the military good, despite missing his family from time to time, and he did well as an MP, and was commended for exposing various activities within the base he was assigned to. Later, as the war began and went on, he was stationed overseas as part of a security detachment for Canadian Forces deployed to South-East Asia, and was involved in direct combat, often in escorting convoys, tracking down insurgents and other enemies within civilian populations, and securing bases against attack and criminal activities. As the war wound down, he was forced to abandon his post in the face of an overwhelming assault, and fled to the nearest harbour, bargaining passage aboard a civilian vessel bound from the Philippines toward the mid-pacific. Particular Skills or Talents: Excellent observational skills and 'people skills', extremely good at investigation and observation of people. Skilled driver of most road-going vehicles, and some experience with small watercraft. Proficient with most small-arms and some heavy weaponry. He stuffed the majority of his gear into this to try and remain under some kind of cover and not to draw too much attention to himself. The contents are:

Canadian CADPAT BDU's[/*]
CG634 Helmet with NVG mount and CADPAT cover[/*]
Modular Assault vest with magazine pouches, utility pouches and hydration backpack, and front/rear ballistic plates[/*]
Radio headset and radio[/*]
Dust/smoke goggles[/*]
Sunglasses (rated as shooting glasses)[/*]
Black and white pattern shemagh[/*]
Personal first-aid kit, tourniquet, bandages etc.[/*]
PVS-14 NVGs[/*]
Gerber multi-tool[/*]
30ft paracord[/*]
3 days of IWPs (Canadian equivalent of MRE's[/*]
Sleeping bag[/*]
8 x MP5 magazines[/*]
4 x P226 magazines[/*]
2 x Rhino speed-loaders[/*]
6 x frag grenades[/*]
4 x smoke grenades[/*]
Mag lite with red filter[/*]
3 x spare flashlight batteries[/*]
Other info Bryan doesn't have any particular religious faith, since the loss of his father and many of his friends in combat. He is technically still engaged, as he and his fiance were due to be married before the war picked up pace and he was deployed, but they became estranged while he was stationed overseas, and he has no sure feelings about her currently - something that troubles him. He has a fondness for animals, and they seem to like him, and he is very sensitive to looking after them and seeing them hurt.
