竹 中 飛 鳥

Takenaka Asuka
Age: 19 Appearance: He laughs disinterested despite a charming smile, "Is that so?" still his laugh is airy and light in tone. There's a group of girls from your school surrounding him, you've never had the courage to talk to him despite him being your biggest crush. He's handsome, like a prince. His frame is lithe, lean and thin. He has elegant fingers, bony, but not too bony. His jet black hair is maintained and well combed, asymmetrical bangs, and gray irises hide an aloof personality despite seemingly engaging with those around him. Often seen in his school uniform when you did go to high school, his style hasn't changed much from button up shirts and slacks, with fitted sweaters in the winter and a long coat. He smells like lavender often though you've never asked him why and his skin is light and pale. He speaks formally and softly something the girls of your school preferred, though you wonder what he saw in an individual with his gray irises that are observant as ever on alert. He seems elegant on the surface, never out of pose. Though he seems to lack the actual interest in people when they speak to him. He seems to shut off. His smile, albeit beautiful, is one for politeness not one for actual interest. Stands at 5'6", 167cms, and weighing at 117 lbs, 53kg, his blood type AB. Personality: On the surface Asuka comes off as a very polite and generous individual, he doesn’t insult others, and he doesn’t lash out at others even when they do something to insult him. Though most of this is a surface behavior, not that Asuka is a spiteful person, though truthfully he is bored and disengaged with people’s shallow view of conversation. He’s intelligent and prefers in depth conversations that inspire him or tickle the analytical itch he has for information. Despite this Asuka is a sociable person he won’t turn down people if they truly need him for something or truly need his advice. He was taught to be courteous to others and never rude. Those who know Asuka best, know he comes off emotionally aloof, however, he often doesn’t give other people insight into himself. He never really discloses much about himself or even request things for himself. He lives in quiet self reservation most of the time. Emotional outburst are not Asuka’s type of deal. Many read this aloof, reserved, cold personality as impersonal and see Asuka as a manipulative type of person because he’s not honest or truthful. Except saying that Asuka is not be a genuine individual discredits his genuine effort to help others. Or his true desire of not wanting to be malicious to others. Asuka doesn’t behave in a manner meant to be mean, cruel. He just often indirectly pushes them away because he’s not very open or vulnerable about how he feels in many circumstances. Where Asuka shines as individual is in his intelligence and his creative rational side. There is not a single person who couldn’t deny that Asuka looks truly engaged and truly interested when something is tickling his interest in creative avenues. While some see his aloof reserved nature as manipulative, some see it has him being adaptable and being able to deal with all kinds of personalities very well. The dark side of Asuka is that he can be incredibly critical. He can come off very severe when giving an individual advice or criticism. On the flip side he also has a tendency to be unforgiving to those that have done something that has crossed his boundaries. No amount of apologies will often win Asuka over. Few have regained his forgiveness after they had done something to cross him. He likes coffee, he enjoys maintaining his family’s garden left behind by his grandmother, he enjoys floral arrangements and plans to go into maintaining a flower shop. He dislikes loud noises, rude people, or cruel sorts of people. He hates ice cream because it gives you a migraine if you eat it too fast. And likes calico cats.He owns two of them. Background: It was never really meant to be this way. At a young age Asuka was cursed with knowing what death was and have death follow him throughout his life. You’d start to call him the death prince if you knew any better. He lost his mother at a very early age to illness. Distraught, but carried on by his father Takenaka Mudo’s optimism Asuka seemed to be able to carry on. Even at five he had been praised for his great adaptability and ability to roll with what was given to him. Some say it was a trait Mudo instilled in him at that age. Shortly after at the age of nine he lost his father Mudo to a car accident, tragedy had befallen the young child again. Though Asuka found some comfort in the floral bouquets as macabre as that may sound. Someone took the time to arrange them in the wake of others tragedy. Whether they were meant to bring hope or not it is what birthed Asuka’s early obsession with floral arrangement, and composition. In those times he felt grief, felt cursed, felt uncertainty and anxiety. What would happen now that he had neither Mudo or his mother Chisaka? Nightmare dreams of strangers he didn’t know taking him in like the fairy tales of Cinderella. Horrible people. Often with claws. Who’d hurt him. Scared him at the time. As the family deliberated what to do with him. Eventually he was taken in by his aunt Himiko. New city. New school. And slowly there began to be a rift that disconnected Asuka from other kids his age. None of them could not the tragedy he went through. At first he coped through art. Arrangements and colors representations of great inner turmoil. Though he learned from Himiko how to be polite and never speak out. He learned to be courteous to others, never curse, because that was very unbecoming. It was his cousin Kenshi who introduced him to his first early addiction to gaming. It was seductive and changed his perspective of the world. Where the real world was one of death, and a lot of it. Some of it he wondered if he brought along with himself, the world of video games were tempting. They took away any pain or turmoil Asuka had at the time. Turning his nightmares into dreaming about adventures. Then tragedy fell the family again when he was eleven. When he lost his aunt, his uncle in law, and their son in a train accident. Asuka being the only survivor due to him staying home that day to play the latest MMO type game at the time. Once again Asuka would become displaced. Where the family would deliberate who he would pass onto next. His concern being them not wanting him because of the string of death that followed him. Until eventually his grandmother Setsko, and his grandfather Himura took him in. Asuka never took any chance to deal with problems. As he never saw them as problems that impacted him. Instead he just continued to do his school work, be the polite child they’d expect, and sometimes slack on his homework to get into the latest raid. Then he got his hands on Haven. It was never really meant to be this way. A world that completely tuned everything out. The annoying attention he got from all the girls who didn’t care a damn about how he felt. His grandfather’s constant need to plug him into colleges he wanted him to go to. The jealousy of other boys in his class. This was a game that could completely take away his time. And it did. Though nowhere near as dangerous levels as it does now after his grandparents passed. His grandmother of natural causes. His grandfather of a heart attack not too shortly after. He was nearing seventeen then and could make his own future decisions. Those decisions just ended up not being the greatest decisions. Dropping school. And spending nearly every waking hour and strength plugged into Haven and games that he would eventually drop to hold his sole dedication to Haven online. Currently in Haven those hours of playtime have finally paid off known as the Prophet of Fire to English speaking members, Ignace is the leader of the 焼け付く [Yaketsuku] 末尾 [Matsubi] or The Burning End to English speaking members, a group created after an incident of PVP griefers were targeting low level mages - especially white mages - and killing them. The Burning End was at first meant to be a safe haven or shelter so other mages could not be harmed or targetted alone. It eventually ended up in a group. And where a life outside of Haven Asuka felt he had no role or purpose, but to bring tragedy. He had a purpose in Haven to lead a fellowship of mages. Talents and Skills: An Outsiders point of view, despite his hours spent in Haven, no one would claim, not even Asuka would claim himself an expert. Though many assume or many call him an expert, due to his unique builds. Or his unique way of thought. His experience with the game comes with experimenting and tweaking ideas in order to be able to solve or work out better builds. Floral Arrangements - Asuka has an eye for color and composition. He always has and it shows in his floral arrangements and designs. Something he enjoys doing as the only other past time he has outside of Haven. Floral Identification - Because Asuka works on flower arrangements, he can identify a flower and it's genus as well. He can also tell you the outward meaning of the flower. Those close to him take 2 points of damage and burn for 1 point of damage for 10 seconds. Combustion Dance - 燃焼 踊り- Nenshō odori These are not ordinary daggers, they look like fangs, but molten, melting metal as they drip of flames like lava. If an enemy is already burning does an additional 5 damage and leaves the enemy burning for an additional 1 point of damage for 30 seconds. Subterfuge - Hidden Heat - 隠された熱 - Kakusareta netsu When unseen add burning damage to your next attack. Inventory: Daggers of Garma - Mage Only - A rogue proudly saw these daggers once and thought he had scored the jackpot. To only be turned down when he saw they could only be equipped by magic users. What magic user would use two daggers, dripping of lava? He chucked them aside and Ignace acquired them after several complaints by his dexterous friends about them. Lorewise, the daggers were said to come from the fang of Garma a draconoid of some sort, and the reason why the daggers can only be equipped by mages is due to Garma’s dracanoid heritage. All though this all could be simply speculation as well. No one really has a clue on these wonky daggers. Alchemist Kit + Several Herbal Ingredients - There was a time before Ignace that Asuka may have focused on a build of healing, but that’s been put aside for Ignace the flaming priest. Still he likes to make his own potions and when he doesn’t want to deal with people collect alchemical ingredients. Notable Features: Guildmaster of the guild Burning End, or The Burning End,a sanctuary for Mages so they may not be targeted by PvP players who target low level mages or mages without a party. It’s also known that Ignace or the Prophet of Fire streams his gaming sessions for those who do not play Haven. It’s how he sort of supports himself in his daily life. He has some notoriety due to this, but nothing like fainting fans.
