Hi! Going to give this a shot as it seems the most simple game to get started with. I can post a writing sample if you want? I tried to keep it pretty basic as you requested in the OP. Not sure if this is a fantasy type game or more historical so I tried to make a mixture of both, leaning towards the historical.
Name: The Kingdom of Ektria "From shepherds to conquerors..." Location: Description: The people of Ektria owe their heritage to peoples of the ancient 'great' civilizations. Where once they were but a small province of a much larger empire, the ethnic Ektrians have abandoned the pastoral and nomadic ways of their ancestors. The 'Fall' was both disastrous and a catalyst for new kingdoms to emerge in the many provinces of old. They are a militant kingdom, eager to expand their territory and wealth under the leadership of a new aristocracy. The 'nobility' of the Ektrians are historically the strongest, eager for battle and glory, and willing to die in the name of their polytheistic faith. Religion, distilled and adapted accordingly from ancient sources has transformed the timid shepherd and nomad into a willing warrior of the faith-eager to please their cruel gods and reap the rewards of mortal glory even if the cost is death. Magic is mistrusted, forsaken even among the Ektrian nobility; a thing for the unlearned or those that cling to the old ways. Mystics and shamans still stalk the Ektrian highlands, proclaiming and prophesying to those who will listen, but they are outcasts among the learned nobility. Ektrians trade with stronger kingdoms and simply invade and take what they want with the weak. Iron weapons, ale and wine, salted fish and pelts and furs are some of the Ektrian exports as well as a healthy dose of their warlike pantheon. Imports are mostly precious metals, gold and so forth. Along with slaves and certain textiles they are not capable of making themselves.
